I absolutely love the suicide vest story, it's perfect, shows the best parts of both heroes - Superman's amazing powers and his ability to determine truth from lie, and Batman's bold and cunning strategies of exploiting and using Superman's own STRENGTHS against him, as well as his willingness to sacrifice himself. Most of all, though, it showed that they both deeply care about protecting the weak and would never willingly harm an innocent.
There always seems to be a character breach or plot device that pits the two against each other. Superman is mind controlled. Superman is Soviet. Superman is a US government lackey that lasers his friend's arm off. Superman kills Joker but decides, "Hey, I'm still kinda angry." At their core, both heroes have a strong enough moral compass to not duke it out.

My favourite is turning superman's powers against himself The sonic blaster in DKR would be DEVASTATING Just imagine it, Superman is looking for batman with his super vision and hearing and then all of a sudden he gets hit from every direction by light and overwhelming noise
Everyone always overlooks that Bruce Wayne/ Batman is an insane controlled person that is a tactician. He has backup plans for hundreds of backup plans. So his genius level intellect knows exactly what to do against Superman. Yes, Superman could just use his super speed and kill Batman, or be miles away and use his heat vision to kill him, but Batman knows this and plans ahead for this. Batman's mind is his greatest weapon.
@@silverstar1238 ever heard of Lex Luthor? A genius billionaire who is considered to be the most intelligent person on Earth. Also Batman himself has admitted that if it wasn't for Superman's humanity he would have been dead in an instant.
Not really, he just can't plan for certain things which is why, after all this time, we haven't seen Superman do those certain things. He's always been written, even in cases of him going evil, to be holding back. If he woke up, wanted to kill Batman and not care about any collateral damage to anyone or anything, flying halfway to the sun then picking up speed on the flight back and kinetic dropping himself on top of batman would do the job. Nothing Bruce could conceivably plan in a short enough amount of time, if at all, could handle what would be the energy release equivalent of dropping a nuke on his head. Batman can beat Superman purely because plot armor dictates that A. Superman would never go scorched earth and B. Seeing him body Batman instantly would be too expected, thus boring.
The reason that Batman wins is of course what you mentioned but you're forgetting many things 1. He's the most insanely unrealisticly plot armoured superhero character ever. He took punches from literal gods that want to kill him (darkseid for example) without a mech suit on yet is able to breathe. don't forget that one time in Batman Confidential where he beat the entire Justice League in a full on head to head combat without a contingency plan to defeat them lol (he even was faster than the flash because apparently he was able to counter flash's punch at full superspeed) and also he knocked wonder woman out with a single elbow to the head lol. 2. Superman winning againts batman would be considered boring to most 3. Batman admits that he can win against superman because Superman's always holding back, his humanity is his greatest weakness 4. For some reason Kryptonite despite being a very rare mineral that only existed in Superman's planet and that only a chunk fell to earth is apparently so common in the DC universe you could probably buy it at a Walmart 5. He's Batman, you hardly ever see him lose to anyone because a comic where Batman (a regular human without powers) gets defeated by someone with superpowers would definitely not sell as well as a comic where he beats literal gods (kind of defeats the whole purpose of a mortal making a god bleed if Batman loses to superpowered enemies)
Tbh I don’t really see how Batman could beat Superman in a majority of their fights. Superman always holds back but even if he moved at the speed of sound Batman could not really catch him
Superman was mind controlled before so he wasn't holding back. Batman is simply has the intelligence and the resources to beat Superman. Superman can't defend against these because he's never had to rely on anything like that himself.

Superman defeats himself when he chooses to talk with Batman first. I mean he could just throw a rock from a mile away, perfectly calibrated so that the pressure will only knock Batman out but still goes down and tries to talk.
I think you're forgetting the most crucial detail upon why Batman always beat Superman. Because DC fans love Batman more than Superman & because the script/plot said so. As strong as Superman is he can never be stronger than the people writing him. If you want an accurate representation of what would happen if Batman & Superman actually fought, without favoritism look up Omni Man vs Darkwing. Sums it up pretty well I'd say.

The mutant restraint collar should technically work preventing the powers from manifesting. Also soundwave should be able to beat him with an empty enegon cube since it would drain his powers. Aside from manufactured weaknesses like Red Sun and Kryponite, a sane Supe's greatest weakness is his moral compass. If the combatant Batman is smart, he'll avoid direct fisticuffs (similar to Lex) and would shield himself behind the justice system or just regular people. He'd appeal to Superman's common sense, since common sense would seldom pit the two against each other in the first place (no mind control, nanobots, dead Loises, or alternate reality governments)
@@silverstar1238 That's like asking how could a lion kill a squirrel. Just punch batman so hard he is a red mist, at a speed batman can't perceive. I now facts sound like bias to some people.

Yes batman has beat him in several ways several times but superman has a point, if he wanted to kill, it would happen so fast the batman wouldn’t know what hit him. Superman is one of the only people fast enough to fight the flash while he’s using the speedforce. He could run around the world and snap everyones on the planets heads in basically the blink of an eye
I dont get the change in the plan to take down Superman in Justice League doom. Because this plan is supposed to take down a rogue Superman, yet the plan shown hinges entirely on Superman being a nice guy. This plan would be useless on a rogue Superman.
all the plans were altered in some way, it's possible that the original plan had some other way to lure in Superman, or even kept that part open so that the method could be tailored to the which ever scenario they found themselves in.
Step 1) Figure out what exactly in yellow sunlight is giving Superman his powers and what exactly is in red sunlight that takes it away Step 2) Design a metal suit that reflects a lot of whatever wavelength of light fucks with Superman the most Step 3) Devise some method of blocking out any of the kind of light that Superman gets his power from. (Maybe a thick gas that blocks it out?) Step 4) Force Superman to expend his super energy in excess while in the area, where he can't regain his power. Flaws: The process is slow, and requires you to somehow keep Superman in one place while Godmode is active for a substantial length of time. May be best to attempt at night. Benefits: Doesn't necessarily require Kryptonite, which is a limited resource that one might have difficulty acquiring without help from the writers
my one involves him breaking his one rule but he's done that enough time anyway but my way would involve Batman cutting off Superman's head with an axe made of Kryptonite

Here are a few ways how Batman could beat Superman: 1. Take whatever kryptonite armor Batman has and have Firestorm replace the green kryptonite with gold kryptonite. This would mean if the fight went on for long enough superman might lose his powers all together, permanently. After that it’s essentially just Batman versus a guy in a Superman costume. 2. Beat superman into going to a location far away from any civilians, throw a shard of kryptonite at the man of steel, And then use the watch tower to teleport away from Superman and then fire a laser beam directly at where superman just wa and then use the watch tower to teleport away from Superman and then fire a laser beam directly at where Superman is. 3. Steal The technology of multiple justice league villains and incorporate them into the justice buster. The suit could already go hand-in-hand with the man of steel, but adding kryptonite generators or mirror masters powers to the suit could give Batman the edge his needs.

what will the man of steel do, now that every weapon in the world is pointed at him, all equipped with every type of kryptonite bullet on the planet?
Superman kills Joker but decides, "Hey, I'm still kinda angry."
At their core, both heroes have a strong enough moral compass to not duke it out.
Well besides the batman V Superman movie where Superman was more or less blackmailed into trying to kill batman. Even though he still fucking lost lmao

Bat armor
My favourite is turning superman's powers against himself
The sonic blaster in DKR would be DEVASTATING
Just imagine it, Superman is looking for batman with his super vision and hearing and then all of a sudden he gets hit from every direction by light and overwhelming noise
Superman just never has fought agenst someone who thinks like this. That's why he looses
It's sad that he has better contingency plans against his friends than his own rogues gallery.
The reason that Batman wins is of course what you mentioned but you're forgetting many things
2. Superman winning againts batman would be considered boring to most
3. Batman admits that he can win against superman because Superman's always holding back, his humanity is his greatest weakness
4. For some reason Kryptonite despite being a very rare mineral that only existed in Superman's planet and that only a chunk fell to earth is apparently so common in the DC universe you could probably buy it at a Walmart
Just slap kryptonite on everything with a few red suns here and there.
Every single way Batman has defeated Superman :
1 - ♾️ : *PLOT ARMOR*
Tbh I don’t really see how Batman could beat Superman in a majority of their fights. Superman always holds back but even if he moved at the speed of sound Batman could not really catch him
Yes , Superman holds back which then causes Bruce to win the majority of their fights.

"How does an ordinary man defeat a god." A good question. One we might be able to answer the day Batman actually fights one.
Well, Slade (typically described as being very similar to Batman in how he fights) did fight and kill Lapetus, so we already know it's doable with the right equipment.
The mutant restraint collar should technically work preventing the powers from manifesting. Also soundwave should be able to beat him with an empty enegon cube since it would drain his powers. Technically any high ranking Jedi/sith should be able to without a fight cut off his powers with the force.
This inspires me to start a fight with a bodybuilder on steroids.
Terrible analogy
Bodybuilders are typically slow due to muscle mass and can't really fight, cause well they aren't fighters.
That's not true for Superman,he is nearly as fast as he is strong and he can actually fight very well,he has stood up to Batman when he was weakend to his level or Batman was powered to his and to do that you need to be a really good fighter.Even when he was depowered to human level he stomped several thugs like a vigilante would.
Also he isn't built like a bodybuilder either,he is buff yeah but normally proportioned buff.

Bias aside how would superman win?
Aside from manufactured weaknesses like Red Sun and Kryponite, a sane Supe's greatest weakness is his moral compass. If the combatant Batman is smart, he'll avoid direct fisticuffs (similar to Lex) and would shield himself behind the justice system or just regular people. He'd appeal to Superman's common sense, since common sense would seldom pit the two against each other in the first place (no mind control, nanobots, dead Loises, or alternate reality governments)

Here are a few ways how Batman could beat Superman:
He's not the Batman he's the Batgoat.
