Fun fact: the barbed wire around Jason’s chest in the Arkham game can be seen in the Arkham knights more slouched posture when he walks in the game. This shows the level of detail rocksteady went into to create depth, and how the years of torture can still be seen in the Arkham knight, showing that he could never fully recover from the joker

Jason probably has the worst and most scariest story from the DC universe. It's cruel to see how he was Tortured and being manipulated into thinking that batman replaced him and left him to die. 2:57 I’ve always been of the belief that endless and unforgivingly brutal torture is the true worst fate, not death, mostly because while death can break a person physically, death is usually quick and painful only in a split second. Torture is endless, and painful. It can change who u r, what u believe, and sometimes, it can even make u desire death, and when u start 2 desire death, u more something’s gone horribly wrong. This story proves that in spades
No surprise that 4 of the 5 were caused by the Joker, he's always tried to kill the sidekicks because he wants Batman all to himself and sees them as distractions and nuisances
I find it funny how most of these entirely the fault of the Joker. To think that when it comes to a family of people famous for not having powers but standing amongst God's regardless, it's pretty fitting that the greatest pain most of them have ever suffered was from somebody who also lacks any powers. My heart goes out to Arkham Jason though, he had it worst by far, only followed up by Tim's psychological torture. I do find it funny how relatively tame Alfred's one is though, everybody else out here getting paralysed, traumatised, tortured constantly, and literally dying, and Alfred just loses a hand. Definitely sucks for him but considering how hard writers go on the Bat family Alfred got off pretty easy
Had no idea that happened to Jason in the Arkham universe. I knew he got tortured but I didn’t know it was to that extent. That’s so dark. I’d say he got it the worst forsure with Tim coming in as a close 2nd.
Man as a kid watching the animated series you don’t realize how messed up literally every character is in the bat family and their villains. Even with the joker they don’t show anywhere NEAR how messed up he is and the terrible things he did.
Damn, Damian Wayne went through all kinds of blaster but had never lost a piece of his body once. Only his skin was burnt... What the hell did Ras Al Gut gave him to gain such nearly indestructable body ? ....
I don’t remember which version of the comics this was in but after introducing Damian to Batman, they got involved in Gotham shenanigans. Talia took Damian away before Bruce found out and had to have half of his organs replaced by illegal transplants. He also had his spine destroyed and a cybernetic one implanted which then got hacked and he almost killed Dick (Batman and robin where Dick is Batman)
Jason's and Tim's was definitely the worst. Cause all of the Bat-Family recovered and moved on or they were healed or retconed. But you can't get rid of mental scars I mean Tim literally became The fucking Joker, the most evil person in DC history and Jason was constantly tortured for a Year and a half.
@@confusedcat-sm9cy I still think it’s bs. Jason was tortured physically and mentally everyday for over a year. Your mind will never be the same after that. It just doesn’t make any sense at all
One thing I don't understand about the arkham knight is that he inlisted the help of scarecrow when forming his plan, despite the fact that crane was in the group of villains that the joker told to torture him.
I didn't think Arkham universe or batman beyond was very mainstream, more like somewhat popular sideworlds that didnt really work out. I would love to see this same question applied to more the mainstream comics. Like Jason's Death, Barbara getting shot in the spine, Bruce's back breaking, Tim losing his spleen, and Dick getting shot in the head and the murder machine.
Jason Todd: is tortured for over an year into Arkham Asylum by the joker losing his mind and ending up hating his tutor and person he cared for the most Tim Drake: is literally transformed into the worst being alive, the same person who previously tortured him so hard he could never fully recover Dick Grayson: Whoopsie oh no my PoOr EyE
I can't say it's my favorite since all of them going through such a brutal and painful experience, but i can say that Jason has the most painful torture of all the bat families, sure barbara gordon end up in a wheelchair, but Jason going through such a torture for over a year and in some version end up dead.
What I'm thinking: Barbara gordon: unborn baby miscarriage/shot in the spine Jason todd: beaten with a crowbar Tim drake: tortured and drugged Alfred: hand is cut off Dick grayson: Head is chopped off Damian wayne: stabbed & beaten by batman/hit by darkseid's omega beams
Barbara Gordon: Stress of Miscarriage of Batman Beyond Jason Todd: Knight Torture of Arkham Knight Tim Drake: Batman Beyond of Joker Junior Dick Grayson: Shot in the eye and spine by Joker whole Alfred is kidnapped by joker. Damian Wayne: Plasma Blasted in half his face. Worst is Jason Todd’s fate worse than death joker Torture.
@Blue The Velociraptor true, but in the dark knight strikes again comic, dick grayson underwent genetic experimentation that gave him a healing factor that even allowed him to get decapitated & just pop his head back into place
The Jason Todd story has somewhat of a happy ending with Jason still doing good but the tim drake joker ending is so sad. Because it lasted with him forever and turned him into the joker in the end. The blessing is terry mcguinnes saved Gotham but without him Gotham would be fucked
One of my favorite injuries that Barbara had that she may or may not have survived (I'm not sure) was when scarecrow threw/hit her off a building and what makes it even worse is when scarecrow laughs when he sees Jim holding Barbra and keep in mind he was laughing infront of batman and robin. This just proves scarecrow is a truly sadistic villain
Man, all those criminals beating Jason up, that's absolutely insane! Killer Croc, Penguin, Two-Face, Bane, Victor Zsazz, Scarecrow, even Calender Man for crying out loud!
I absolutely loved the video, Holy hell, those people need to take better care of themselves. I think one of the worst injuries emotionally and physically for Dick would also be Batman beating him into going undercover to Spyral after Luthor murdered him. Like, his murder obvi messed with his mind already and then the shit Bruce demanded, combined with the beating... it defenitly left one heck of a mental scar. And a few physical ones too.
One of the best in my opinion is Jason’s torture, in Arkham at least. Becoming the Arkham knight or red hood after a full 365 days of torture, is very great.
Jason Todd getting beaten by joker was kinda unsettling but Barbara getting shot by joker was even more fucked up This is why I ship Barbara and Jason because they had been fucked up by the joker and they both dealt with it in their own ways
Because of Barbara might have gotten raped? Jason”s is 100% worse as his injuries lasted an entire year as he is beaten up by calendar man and his fellows supervillains and only escaped due to final battle between Batman and joker on live tv on Arkham asylum. Plus he had a grudge against Batman due to him not even thinking of searching all of Arkham asylum to save him as it is the first place anyone would look if someone important is kidnapped.
I think Jason suffered the worst injuries of them all..... Being tortured, waterboarded, tied by barbed wire, mentally molested through drugs and further psychological manipulation FOR A YEAR!!!! That's really hurtful and scary. Poor guy.
Crazy how almost all of these injuries happen from Batman and the Joker (directly and indirectly). In this regard, its like Batman has done as much harm as the Joker has. Obviously Jokers brand of harm is a lot worse, but.. the fact that you can even compare it is telling.
shame that stephanie brown wasn’t on here! she not only had horrific issues with her pregnancy, but she was also tortured to death. her stomach was drilled into several times over by black mask, and /technically/ she didn’t die
Jason's worst injury in every continuity will always be the crowbar / torture (not just the crowbar injuries but general torture if we include the Arkham games) as he actually didn't die because of it. He only died after the bomb that exploded the warehouse. He would have survived if Bruce had just gotten there sooner
Imo, Damian's worst injury was in the comics. When Bruce was trapped in time and Dick was filling in as Batman, he and Damian fought this villain called Flamingo. During the fight, Damian was shot several times in the back and paralyzed. Talia took Damian and surgically replaced his entire spine. Definitely worst injury for our favorite Bat Brat.
I think we're forgetting Barbara's pain didn't stop at just the spinal injury, in the comics it's heavily implied joker sexually assaulted her after he shot her
Wasn't Dick Impaled by a Paradoom and then Ressurrected by Damian in Apokolips War (That also made him lose his Sanity) ? I personally think that was more of a Bigger injury than just Losing an Eye
To quote Tim Drake's friendly fire insult to Jason in a TikTok skit "You got crowbar'd to death by a clown with as much muscle mass as a Victoria's Secret model. If you were able to walk away from it, it wasn't that bad." Edit: Before I get bombarded by replies calling me a prick for not giving credit, I went to find a link to the videos on YT, and the creator is named PandaRedd. th-cam.com/video/J_rD2CwAJMU/w-d-xo.html
3:46 I know this is messed up to remark... But... *Harley looks gloriously fųcking thicc as hęll in here* There's so little to know of *Batwoman* at all so far though, she had her moments but she's never a highlight, the animated series gets suddenly cutoff on movie by identity reveal on the same debut. In Injustice she died a brutal incineration by Superman's hear vision on the Injustice Insurgency's dimension against the Regime to detonate some device, knowing she was not going survive, Batgirl was almost taken out in this very act. Batwoman does have some serious fights, faceoffs and such. Doesn't get as deep as of to be inside the batcave on Bruce's trust or get too much direct interaction with them as far as to be... recognized or remembered. The other 3 female Robins from different times and series, had a decent amount of damage at some point. Most male Robins tend to get maximum amount of psychological torture and even Nightwing...
Well since both the Barbara and Dick ones were retconned and Jason's happened in the Arkham universe I guess the Damian getting hit with the Plasma blast is my 'favorite'. As for other injuries that could make the list, Stephanie Brown being tortured by Black Mask. If going with a pure psychological I'd point out Cassandra Cain being mind-controlled by Deathstroke and being forced to kill her 'siblings' frame Tim for murder, lead the League of Shadows, force her to kill people over and over again despite hating the idea of killing even more than Batman.
I kinda thought Tim's would've been losing his spleen, but to be fair, that's the main continuity so I wasn't thinking of different universes. I do remember the return of the joker and how brutal the torture of Timmy Todd was. (I always saw him as a blend of both)
My favorite was definetley Damians. That little brat deserved it for acting like such a badass on a team with aliens that can blast people with the forced of a meteor and and more

No surprise that 4 of the 5 were caused by the Joker, he's always tried to kill the sidekicks because he wants Batman all to himself and sees them as distractions and nuisances
Literally what i though
“Because comics.” - Comic Drake
Had no idea that happened to Jason in the Arkham universe. I knew he got tortured but I didn’t know it was to that extent. That’s so dark. I’d say he got it the worst forsure with Tim coming in as a close 2nd.
Man as a kid watching the animated series you don’t realize how messed up literally every character is in the bat family and their villains. Even with the joker they don’t show anywhere NEAR how messed up he is and the terrible things he did.
Damn, Damian Wayne went through all kinds of blaster but had never lost a piece of his body once. Only his skin was burnt...
What the hell did Ras Al Gut gave him to gain such nearly indestructable body ? ....
He was genetically perfected and bathed in the lazarus pit which enhances durability
I don’t remember which version of the comics this was in but after introducing Damian to Batman, they got involved in Gotham shenanigans. Talia took Damian away before Bruce found out and had to have half of his organs replaced by illegal transplants. He also had his spine destroyed and a cybernetic one implanted which then got hacked and he almost killed Dick (Batman and robin where Dick is Batman)
he actually has spare body parts courtesy of talia :D
Honestly I appreciate that you noted Barbra’a miscarriage as being a serious injury it tears down the mind of a family and more to the mother
Jason becoming Red Hood is the most understandable thing ever in these comics. So much torture. It’s no wonder he murders criminals now
In your opinion who had the hardest time in the bat family, for me it was Jason Todd
I hate that in Arkham knight they made Jason just put down the gun. There’s no way he wouldn’t want to shoot Batman just because “we can fix this”
@@nevermind4712 no, he put it down because he realized that Batman never abandoned him
@@confusedcat-sm9cy I still think it’s bs. Jason was tortured physically and mentally everyday for over a year. Your mind will never be the same after that. It just doesn’t make any sense at all
@@nevermind4712 he went after batman because he felt abandoned
@@nevermind4712 better than having Bruce just grab his gun and then proceeded to beat the shit out of one of his sons.
One thing I don't understand about the arkham knight is that he inlisted the help of scarecrow when forming his plan, despite the fact that crane was in the group of villains that the joker told to torture him.
Here's an idea what lantern corps do the batman who laughs and the others belong to
The fact that joker did all of that stuff to Jason barb and Tim is crazy.
Jason Todd: is tortured for over an year into Arkham Asylum by the joker losing his mind and ending up hating his tutor and person he cared for the most
Tim Drake: is literally transformed into the worst being alive, the same person who previously tortured him so hard he could never fully recover
Dick Grayson: Whoopsie oh no my PoOr EyE
I can't say it's my favorite since all of them going through such a brutal and painful experience, but i can say that Jason has the most painful torture of all the bat families, sure barbara gordon end up in a wheelchair, but Jason going through such a torture for over a year and in some version end up dead.
Me watching this: So…are we just not gonna mention how Nightwing was straight up shot in the head and SURVIVED!
and it only took one stick to the head to kill him
@@ReconnectingPH Hey! It was a rock too! 😂
now that's what i called killed by stick and stone
@@ReconnectingPH 😂😂
What I'm thinking:
Barbara gordon: unborn baby miscarriage/shot in the spine
Jason todd: beaten with a crowbar
Tim drake: tortured and drugged
Alfred: hand is cut off
Dick grayson: Head is chopped off
Damian wayne: stabbed & beaten by batman/hit by darkseid's omega beams
Barbara Gordon: Stress of Miscarriage of Batman Beyond
Jason Todd: Knight Torture of Arkham Knight
Tim Drake: Batman Beyond of Joker Junior
Dick Grayson: Shot in the eye and spine by Joker whole Alfred is kidnapped by joker.
Damian Wayne: Plasma Blasted in half his face.
Worst is Jason Todd’s fate worse than death joker Torture.
I feel like Tim Drake got worst
Dick and damian should be different since that killed them
@Blue The Velociraptor true, but in the dark knight strikes again comic, dick grayson underwent genetic experimentation that gave him a healing factor that even allowed him to get decapitated & just pop his head back into place
I still hate the uh, concept of batman and Barbara having a kid, i will *never* like or take this as a actual concept
Wow I didn’t know about all the details of Jason’s torture in Arkham Knight, that’s horrific
Jason Todd’s torture from any universe always makes me sad
I absolutely loved the video, Holy hell, those people need to take better care of themselves.
I think one of the worst injuries emotionally and physically for Dick would also be Batman beating him into going undercover to Spyral after Luthor murdered him. Like, his murder obvi messed with his mind already and then the shit Bruce demanded, combined with the beating... it defenitly left one heck of a mental scar. And a few physical ones too.
Dicky boy still won that fight tho...
Thank you for your content! Always wanted to get closer with comics universes and you really helped me with it. Btw, your backing music is DOPE!
When I saw the title my brain literally was like
Jason Todd's worst injury: death
I think one of Damian's worst injuries is where he was fighting Slade and he stuck a sword through his arm
One of the best in my opinion is Jason’s torture, in Arkham at least. Becoming the Arkham knight or red hood after a full 365 days of torture, is very great.
The funny thing is scarecrow tortured Jason to, and then Jason teamed up with scarecrow to kill Batman in Arkham Knight
The Joker must've bleached Tim's skin to make it that color. Imagine how much that would hurt. Poor Timmy was just a kid 😢
Batman’s back breaking to Bane was very iconic
i'll forever take it personal that batman still let joker go alive after finding out that he tortured and murdered one of his sons
Alfred has unironically become my favorite dc character
Jason Todd getting beaten by joker was kinda unsettling but Barbara getting shot by joker was even more fucked up
This is why I ship Barbara and Jason because they had been fucked up by the joker and they both dealt with it in their own ways
U Ship Them Because They Were Crippled and Tortured By Joker?
Because of Barbara might have gotten raped?
Jason”s is 100% worse as his injuries lasted an entire year as he is beaten up by calendar man and his fellows supervillains and only escaped due to final battle between Batman and joker on live tv on Arkham asylum. Plus he had a grudge against Batman due to him not even thinking of searching all of Arkham asylum to save him as it is the first place anyone would look if someone important is kidnapped.
Two Heroes and one bullet
There are definitely better reasons to ship them
Wasn't Jason interested in Barbara in Three Jokers?
I think Jason suffered the worst injuries of them all..... Being tortured, waterboarded, tied by barbed wire, mentally molested through drugs and further psychological manipulation FOR A YEAR!!!! That's really hurtful and scary. Poor guy.
Crazy how almost all of these injuries happen from Batman and the Joker (directly and indirectly). In this regard, its like Batman has done as much harm as the Joker has. Obviously Jokers brand of harm is a lot worse, but.. the fact that you can even compare it is telling.
Damian Wayne’s death scared me but when he came back I cried with joy.
shame that stephanie brown wasn’t on here! she not only had horrific issues with her pregnancy, but she was also tortured to death. her stomach was drilled into several times over by black mask, and /technically/ she didn’t die
The Arkham Knight version of Jason’s torture is so much darker and sicker and WORSE than the main continuity.
Jason's was easily the worst injury, that torment was absolutely brutal.
Jason's worst injury in every continuity will always be the crowbar / torture (not just the crowbar injuries but general torture if we include the Arkham games) as he actually didn't die because of it. He only died after the bomb that exploded the warehouse. He would have survived if Bruce had just gotten there sooner
I love damein and raven together and I find it cute how she is always the one to heal him
You are doing a great job ive been waching for years . You are one if my favourite youtubers dont stop this kind of videos
Oh my god that first Nightwing hurt clip- THE WORED WENT THROUGH HIM DAWG
Imo, Damian's worst injury was in the comics. When Bruce was trapped in time and Dick was filling in as Batman, he and Damian fought this villain called Flamingo. During the fight, Damian was shot several times in the back and paralyzed. Talia took Damian and surgically replaced his entire spine. Definitely worst injury for our favorite Bat Brat.
notice how all of their injuries except damian's were caused by the joker
I think we're forgetting Barbara's pain didn't stop at just the spinal injury, in the comics it's heavily implied joker sexually assaulted her after he shot her
Wasn't Dick Impaled by a Paradoom and then Ressurrected by Damian in Apokolips War (That also made him lose his Sanity) ? I personally think that was more of a Bigger injury than just Losing an Eye
It’s funny how great the shows are, there’s always a dark secret.
The Bat-family with no limits 🦇🦇🦇
I think I read somewhere that nightwing once lost his legs which in my opinion is worse than an eye, especially for an acrobat
Bruce was always weirdly cold towards Dick after he became nightwing, which really hurt him. Wish more people would talk about this.
Man one of these stories, batman needs to die, and the family gets revenge on joker, and then Jason and tim go far to even torture him
To quote Tim Drake's friendly fire insult to Jason in a TikTok skit "You got crowbar'd to death by a clown with as much muscle mass as a Victoria's Secret model. If you were able to walk away from it, it wasn't that bad."
Edit: Before I get bombarded by replies calling me a prick for not giving credit, I went to find a link to the videos on YT, and the creator is named PandaRedd.

3:46 I know this is messed up to remark...
But... *Harley looks gloriously fųcking thicc as hęll in here*
There's so little to know of *Batwoman* at all so far though, she had her moments but she's never a highlight, the animated series gets suddenly cutoff on movie by identity reveal on the same debut.
Most male Robins tend to get maximum amount of psychological torture and even Nightwing...
we need a film of the batfamily that fights a joker robot
Honestly, I’d like to see a video game of that.
Batman Ninja
Alfred also loses an eye in Telltale depending on your choices but I'd still say the hand is worse.
In the injustice world, Alfred is killed by Victor zsaaz. Damian Wayne then finds him in Arkham asylum and kills him.
To be fair, let's not forget that Barbara was stabbed repeatedly in the gut by Bruce 😏
Batman: I don't kill people
Alfred: Shotgun! everybody get in for the, long run!
Jason Todd had the worst injury in the bat family members
I kinda thought Tim's would've been losing his spleen, but to be fair, that's the main continuity so I wasn't thinking of different universes. I do remember the return of the joker and how brutal the torture of Timmy Todd was. (I always saw him as a blend of both)
Jason Todd has had the most pain and has had to endure what we must call a fate worse than death
For Damian: In issue #6 of the Batman and Robin (2009) comics, Damian had to have his entire spine replaced with a prosthetic.
My favorite was definetley Damians. That little brat deserved it for acting like such a badass on a team with aliens that can blast people with the forced of a meteor and and more
Every sidekick Batman had except Dick and Damian were all tortured and abused by the Joker.
Everyone respect alfred he has saved batmans ass on multiple occasions
I feel like dicks worst injury was in dark apocalypse war when he gets his arm and leg chopped off
