Thanks for the inspiration. I've made one so far, and will be making another tomorrow. Good vid. Thanks for taking the time to share. It was a huge help and is much appreciated. Thanks again Coops.
Dude Ur a legend. Been watching a few of the US reptile channels and thinking I wish we could get some of these exotic reptiles they have. Then I stumbled into coops reptiles. I never realised we had so many cool lizards in the hobby. I've decided I'm Gunna get me a couple of blueys to satisfy my cravings for now but the plan is to do a major build for some Boyd's forest dragons. I've built a hutch from Ur other video and I'll have one of these built as soon as Bunnings gets form ply in. Then onto the Boyd's enclosure. Thanks for the inspiration
Love the build, I’m just about to use the same material just a few adjustments on the sizes as I have diamonds and want to give a bit more height Love the channel, keep up the great content
Nice build Coops, you should get some sort of dwarf monitor for the bottom enclosure. Maybe Storrs, king dwarf or even a Pilbery rock monitor but they are so expensive.
Hey I have just built it and it looks great. I'm looking to put some lights in. Do you have the details on where you got yours from? I'm in Australia too
Looks awesome! Im curious, is there a small hidden shelf space between the two? Im just wondering how the light fittings go into the bottom enclosure without going up through the top enclosure?
Hey mate, absolutely awesome build! I'm going to use the same design but triple bay instead of double. Was wondering where you sourced the light fixtures and what brands/models you would recommend. Loving your channel and looking forward to seeing more of your content! Cheers mate
Can you add a heat mat to this seems like the wood would be to thick for the heat to travel through....I've been wondering what people use for the wood enclosures
I built a few formply enclosures and noticed that silicone doesnt stick very well to the surface of formply. It held up well in the boyds enclosure where it is mostly untouched. In the mangrove monitor enclosure, however, it is pretty much all gone within 1 year. That being said, there is no evidence of water damage and swelling even though there are no sealant on the edges. If i were to do it again, i think ill try smearing silicone over the cut edges of the formply and assemble it before it cures
I love this video. Great info and awesome design. Ok so after I realized it’s spelled “Form Ply” and not “Form Play” I was able to find this stuff. But I would love to know where the dude is getting it for $200 for all of it. I can only find it it for $84 for a 8’x4’ panel. Where do you find this stuff?
Very nice Cooper, may have to do something like this in the future depending where my collection goes. It’s a great idea mate thanks for sharing Also, good old Bunnings.
I hope you’re giving old Terry a slab for all the time on the tools ;P. Nice enclosures man! I never bothered siliconing mine as it doesn’t stick too great to the smooth surface on the formply.
Hi I am wanting to make an enclosure the same size for my blue tongue lizard, I was wondering do Bunnings cut this material to size? If so what are all the sizes for each part please.
Yeah they do, they don’t cut anything smaller than 300mm though as it is dangerous. So any smaller cuts say for the front board panels you would have to do yourself
Hey coop I notice with your blue tongues you have them in the same outside or inside enclosure is that for breeding and because there young because can’t they be dangerous to each other I’ve got a blotched and it’s about 4 months would it be smart to add to the inclosure
SnagsVF I have adult pairs together that get along yes. Alll depends on the animals. I find young blotchies usually get along but young easterns do not most of the time. They are fine living by themselves
HELP MEEE! Please! I’m making an enclosure, bearded dragon, what uvb can I mount inside? It’s 52” long and 32” tall. Can I mount a t5 12% inside without frying him? If not what do I need??? Thanks!!!
If I may suggest one thing on behalf of all head phone users, maybe consider not including the sounds of you actually drilling the screws in and instead maybe just add a timelapse. Regardless, I can’t wait to try my hand at making this enclosure 😄
making my enclosure tomorrow gave me a bit of inspiration, enjoy mate
shooka awesome hope it goes well for you!
Thanks for the inspiration. I've made one so far, and will be making another tomorrow. Good vid. Thanks for taking the time to share. It was a huge help and is much appreciated. Thanks again Coops.
Thanks mate!
It is always good when you can make an enclosure with minimal cutting.
Well done this is a great video and I look forward to the rest.
Thanks mate yeah made it so much easier!

More for dry or wet enclosures? Or doesn't matter. Love these making all kinds of enclosure videos. Sure does help.
What kind of boards did you use again please???
I think it's called formply
How are your lights gettin to the bottom?
Love the build, I’m just about to use the same material just a few adjustments on the sizes as I have diamonds and want to give a bit more height
Love the channel, keep up the great content
Love it. was going to build from Lukes video but I like the idea of a double enclosure better. Another great video mate.
Thanks mate just make sure you get all your measurements right!
How did u do the bottom lights
does this type of wood not require pond sealer?
Is it true that I can mount a T5 inside my enclosure?
Nice build Coops, you should get some sort of dwarf monitor for the bottom enclosure. Maybe Storrs, king dwarf or even a Pilbery rock monitor but they are so expensive.
Willem Koenen all awesome animals! I’m going to be sitting my gillens monitor on top of this one most likely!
@@coopsreptiles2588 yeah thats a good idea.
How do you cut the track and the boards evenly and what glue do you use for the track
Where do you order your PCV from.
Simply drilled a hole through the back of each enclosure near the top to allow cables through!
@@coopsreptiles2588 Oh cool more simple than I thought! Cheers!
How did you put the light in did you cut a hole in the top
Hey what silicone do you use?
Thanks
Nice , what tipe of material u use
What size Perspex did you use
What did you use for the window tracks and where did you get them from??
What is the thickness of the formply?
What’s the name of the wood you are using couldn’t quite make it out In the video
formply
Looks good bro i want to make one for my bluey 😁
It came out nice 👍
Hi Coop, I noticed you had tracks up the sides as well, did you just use the off cuts or have to buy more ?
Please put where you got your supplies from
Nice job mate
Thanks 👍
What was the name of the board ?

I never use heat mats. I cant imagine any reptile that would suit these enclosures that wouldn't benefit from being heated above
Usually when people here use heat mats/cords in enclosures they put it between 2 tiles

Nice to know! Good tip for next time. Nice builds dude
Nice build! i'd love to know where your bunnings is as form ply sheets are usually like $80 each
What’s the name of the light fixture for the heating bulb and where can I find it!
hey how would you add heating to bottom for ball python?
How do you cut the boards?
Going to homedepot today!
Me an my dad built a 8 by 2 by 2 out of pvc and plexi glass for my baby tegu
how would you do under tank heating for the top one
How long does the perspex last? Seems like it could bend. Im gonna buy 5mm perspex for my blueys. Thanks

Aaron's Reptiles thanks Aaron!
Very nice Cooper, may have to do something like this in the future depending where my collection goes. It’s a great idea mate thanks for sharing
Also, good old Bunnings.
Bunnings is essential for a reptile keeper in my opinion haha!
Coop's Reptiles I agree
I hope you’re giving old Terry a slab for all the time on the tools ;P. Nice enclosures man! I never bothered siliconing mine as it doesn’t stick too great to the smooth surface on the formply.
Beaches Scaly Beasts hahah thanks mate and yeah I’ll see how it holds up!
Is the material similar to melamine?
Lol what size is that perspex, asking for a friend.

How is your day going I love your channel
Great thanks! Glad you are enjoying it
This might sound stupid I’m not sure but you do turn off your uv and heating lamps right at night and turn them on first thing In the morning right
SnagsVF yes lights go off at night reptiles need a day and night cycle
Good vid loving the content man
SnagsVF thanks heaps!
wait so did you put anything on the inside of those vent holes, or just the screen on the outside?
outside screen and the wooden edging to make it look nicer
Hey coop I notice with your blue tongues you have them in the same outside or inside enclosure is that for breeding and because there young because can’t they be dangerous to each other I’ve got a blotched and it’s about 4 months would it be smart to add to the inclosure

Subscribing!! Awesome build. Can I ask what are the measurements? Planning to build one for my reptiles too. Keep it up ma guy ✨
add more stuff tho.
Nice!
Are u kidding me coop I want to watch but it's 2 am
I don't mind when you watch just as long as you do! ;)
HELP MEEE! Please! I’m making an enclosure, bearded dragon, what uvb can I mount inside? It’s 52” long and 32” tall. Can I mount a t5 12% inside without frying him? If not what do I need??? Thanks!!!
Look up the arcadia lighting guide
I like the chicken audience. Lol
This is a good vid
Is it safe to put light direct inside the enclosure. What if snake can burn itself by reaching to the light?
i'd always use a light cage if its for a snake enclosure
where did u get ur form ply i can find it 69 per 2 sheets
Said he got em at Bunnings but thier like 68
Thumbs up 👍
11 dollars a sheet really in Perth western Australia it like 60 dollars a sheet at Bunnings
are you sure you arent looking at the larger size?
Yeah it's the same in Brisbane 60 odd bucks for the 1800x1200. They don't seem to have any smaller sheets, at least not online anyway
Nathan 2 months late but.. At the moment the 2400x1200 sheet is $88 so that's $22 per 1200 x600 panel wish I could.find it for $11
Yeh, check In store and online. Smallest one they have is 120 by 180 and it’s 68 ish. Wish it was cheaper. Have any advice coop?
Cooper can you breed blue tongue lizards with brothers and sisters sorry if I asked this a lot I can’t find my coment🤣🤣
You can but its best to breed unrelated animals.
I bet you wont sell me one
FIRST COMMENT!!!!!!!!!!!
If I may suggest one thing on behalf of all head phone users, maybe consider not including the sounds of you actually drilling the screws in and instead maybe just add a timelapse. Regardless, I can’t wait to try my hand at making this enclosure 😄
Make me one I’ll pay (not joking)
Did I just watch this man make a shelf and call it and enclosure because of the lip and etc lol
