What species should we setup next?
Ackie monitor. Unless I missed it.
Lygodactylus williamsi is my most beloved gecko species. They are often overlooked and underappreciated, despite their remarkable qualities and easy care. If you need video I could send you some
Ackie all the way
should setup a rhino iguana enclosure ...............
Vampire crab
This is my absolute favourite type of WWR content, don’t get me wrong top fives are entertaining, but they are nowhere near as fun and useful as tutorials and videos like these.
I just wish everyone else thought so. these videos do SO poorly
@@WickensWickedReptilesWe like them!! Please do more
same, i love them SO much
Same! Love them!
Hey Adam I love these kind of videos a lot!
I personally enjoy all of your content but I agree with the initial comment I find tutorials and DIY how to videos a ton of fun!
Keep it up 💪
haven't even watched the video yet and I can already tell its another wickens wicked reptiles BANGER!!
thank you!!!
Woah woah, Adam!! You could fit AT LEAST 7 more tegus in there
ugh, I knew I messed up!
Sticks and bricks round 2!
rocks n blocks
Totally watching the video for information and not just for cute tegu
😊
Great video! I loved that she was exploring as soon as she went in the new enclosure. I always look forward to your next new video so thanks for sharing with us all!
she's been cruisin around in there!
Over the past few years, I have been following your channel since its inception when you had only 600 subscribers. I appreciate your dedication to éducating people on proper animal care. Please continue your excellent work. 💪
Wow, thank you! I really appreciate this!
Loved this video! I have been wanting to see Mushu's progress for awhile now. She is adorable!
I love the simplicity of the process, and how it still turns out so beautiful in the end. Simple and straightforward doesn't have to mean boring looking 🥳 I have a day off work tomorrow so I'm gonna go down to a nature trail and gather up some sticks and whatnot for my own lizards lol. And Mushu is super cute! 🦎
Thank you so much!
I love how you do not get over-concerned over fictitious or un- knowable nonsense. Keeping it simple is best for introducing folks into keeping.
Amen. Sadly the world is so anxiety ridden and messed up. Glad to have Adam being a voice of relaxation. It’s really needed
Love this video. It was awesome content. So informative and that tegu just adorable. Keep up the good content.
Thank you so much!
Great video as always. It's a nice setup
Thanks 👍
You are doing so well with the updates keep it up
thanks!
Hey Adam I hope you had an amazing week and I hope you have a fantastic Thursday and weekend. As always great vlog today
Thanks so much!
Great video! Rather thorough, yet concise. I think you did a pretty good job covering all the bases on this one that people complained about last time. Enclosure looks great!
Much appreciated!
This video was so simple and smooth. Very appreciative, literally the inspiration I was just looking for. Going to start today for my ball pythons. Question, do you recommend the same substrate mix for them?
YES SOME TEGU LOVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I like this style of video 🔥🔥
Great video per usual 👍🏻
Appreciate it!
I love how you mention the risks to taking things outside and to either buy an item or sanitize. I bake corkboard when I buy it. I didn't years ago and found after a while an infestation in my chewy's enclosure! I've baked any nature things since. So great you mentioned this!
So true!
Beautiful setup.
Thank you!
Another banger Adam! Just gotta fight the sudden urge to get one 🤣💀
Mushu is amazing!
Love when you upload
love when you watch!
We have a 9x2x2 enclosure from Cornels World, and we love it! Spoiled Bearded dragon in our house!
Also, Mushu is adorable! Love Tegus!
Great naturalistic, totally achieveable enclosure. 👍🏼👍🏼 Really interested in how your moss will do.
Thanks! 👍 I'll keep everyone updated!
I don’t even have a tegu
enjoy anyway!
Me either lmfao but here i am 🤣
@@ThatOrange5.0 fr 😂 I like the care guides they my favorite
Same
Idea for a video: the nitty gritty of UVB. The different types of bulbs, the different ways to install the fixtures, different strengths, what distance and mesh tops do to the UVB, amd what all this means for the end keeper. All in a fun easy to understand package.
Dem crocs! Best trademens shoe!
safety first!
Woh the video quality is 10/10 😮 feels like I’m there haha
Love it! I used to go to school in Argentina and we would wake up to wild Tagu’s in our dorm rooms… that was always fun 😂! Now that I live in North Carolina in the States, I am so sad that it is illegal to own these awesome lizards
that's insane!
Lol hey! I have those safety shoes in PINK! 😂
So safe!
Look at that tegu and them snoks (i know they're officially called crocs, but ever since i saw a meme showing a ball python's head compared to a croc, i started calling them snoks 😂). Aldo, very handy and simple tutorial, definietly gonna use it for my bts
He's so cute and friendly! ❤
she sure is!
Tegus are some of the most rewarding pets when you put the work in!
I have two 4x2x2 Custom Reptile Habitats PVC enclosures and I LOVE them! So do my Ball Pythons🥰
that's awesome!
WHAT ARE THOSEEEE!!!!! ADAM RESPONDS these are my safety crocs😂😂
DAMNNNNN DANIEL
@@WickensWickedReptiles I love you still tho bro! Crocs just should have stayed for inmates lol😂
Great video🎉. I'd like to see an enclosude for an adult iguana so people know what they are truly getting into. I'd also like to see a frilled dragon enclosure. And, in agreement with a previous poster, a custom build enclosure. Like, how to build the enclosure itself, not, just decorating.
My tegu just runs around my room 24/7. She also has a 8x4x4 in the closet that's always open just incase she wants to go in. She has heat lamps in my room and on enclosure, and has uvb.
This was perfect timing for my friend getting a larger lizard and wasn’t totally sure how he could set up a bigger enclosure!
Wicked!
You are the best TH-cam ever have a awesome day have a cool day have a wonderful day good job
thank you!
@@WickensWickedReptiles Can you do a educational video about ball pythons????
This is the type of video I like. Top x videos are cool. But videos about keeping reptiles is what brought me to your channel originally. Keep them coming!
I just wish more people watched them
Love your channel!
Where do you put your Govee?
I’ve had one for a year in my 6x3x3 and am having trouble finding the ‘sweet spot’.
somewhere in the middle usually!
Yes, yes, Circle saw the perfect tool for the job.
I mean, it worked and I didn't have to drag out the chainsaw...
defiantly want to see the 8 foot encloser
Soooo n
2:40 "Do not buy enclosures where the glass panels do not come out" Noted. 📝
3:51 I love Crocs, too. 🐊👞
Looks like Mushu approves of the set-up. 🦎😃
thanks for watching!
I love your videos; you could literally make anything, and I would watch the video. A lot of people would hate me but if I lived closer to you, or let alone in the same country, I would give you one of my CB Boelens babies Unsexed. I hate how much companies charge for them or the monopoly companies. I haven't established myself as a dedicated breeder, I work another job. So my pair laid eggs something like 2 months ago, not even intending to produce eggs but they did and all but 1 egg hatched and I never see creators like yourself make videos on Boelens in depth. They make amazing pets and honestly are so great to handle, very rarely defensive. I hope one day you make a video about them, so you and your following can see and maybe break the stupid price on such an amazing animal. Thank you for all your hard work.
I still would love to see a more in depth review of how you built up your Kages cage for your bearded dragon.
I did make one and it's on the channel still, enjoy!
Thats wild how small she is compared to mine whos only now approching a year old. Granted mine is a blue tegu that didnt brumate, he did slow down considerably during the winter but still ate and basked and pooped just much less than before and now
I use a plastic hide for Jewel because I consider that the best, and there's nothing but the best for her.
that works for sure!
Sticks and Bricks for the W once again !
always!
I would love to see update videos of how these enclosure builds do after a few days, weeks, months. I have an 8 year old male tegu and any decor is immediately destroyed.
video idea: an updated video touching on snake mites and other types of parasites or diseases that reptiles are susceptible to. i, as well as most of the friends i have in the hobby have had or are having issues with them and nothing seems to work. i currently am dealing with some snake mites and they’re a nightmare
good luck with that but yes I'd for sure make one!
@@WickensWickedReptiles can't wait, I'm definitely worried about those. Never had the issue before, but better to have info and not need it than to be caught lacking.
Try Nyx lice shampoo diluted 50% in water soak the animals the rinse with lukewarm water. Take everything out of the enclosure and soak it in the nyx. spray the tank with the nyx mixture and wipe it out. Put down paper towel and return the animals to the enclosure. Any live plants will need to be disposed of and replaced. Do this every 3-4weeks for about for 2 months and the mites should be gone. Been using this method for 15 years without fail nor harm to my animals. *PS do not do this for amphibians and remove any insects or arachnids from the room during and for 24/hrs after treatment.**
I found that the best way to deal with mites is to get the predatory type mites.
Tarrus mites they are called I believe. It cleared all my snakes out within a week! As well as my friends too.
They are expensive but honestly if you go for them from the start they are an absolute best. They die out once snake mites are all gone as they have no more food.
@@alexanderrobbins3984 Thank you for the advice! I have tried the Nyx, but not in anywheres near as strong of a solution as you’ve recommended, so that could be why i’m having lackluster results, thanks again!
I am in need of a new enclosure and I was wondering if I should get one with a screen top or find one that does not.
Oh Russy bussyyy❤️
baaaaaayyyybeeeee
Adam I can't remember. Have you done any videos on DIY enclosure builds? Not set up videos. I'm talking about building the actual enclosure itself from pieces of lumbar or whatever else you might use. Or even repurposing old shelves or cabinets.
I think that would be super cool, especially for people interested in large reptiles.
Agreed.
Mushu got big!!
Sure did
Man I wish I had room for this
such a cool species!
I wish you did more than 2 videos a week on both of your channels. They are great.
Working on it! :)
You should make a frilled dragon care guide
I use this size for my Tegu. It's enough for now. I plan to double it when he gets to be an adult.
awesome!
Sweet scale baby.
She's awake!
Finally
Sup Adam
I miss Brian
yo yo
I’ve never understood tier’s of cages. I always (with the exception of tarantula and scorpions) up my pets in the size they will need as a adult. Dose my ackies monitor need a 120gal tank as a baby, no. But it definitely enjoys it.
she disappears in an 8ft cage right now. Just hard to get at her when needed at this size
So many things my guy. I am a fan that you are out there giving practical advise. I think the hobby needs some more. Some more of everything. Rain, wind, plants, encloses that are taller to accommodate grasses. Grasses are tough enough to take Mushu trampling and digging once established of course.
How do you maintain humidity without misting system? Are you misting manually.
yes exactly
She is beautiful ❤
Do the Retic setup with the mixed species
coming up!
is Mushu still doing that weird brumation thing? glad we finally get to see more Mushu content.
KILLS ME EVERY TIME YOU SAY STICKS AND BRICKS 🤣
Hahahaa
I know this is super off-topic, but I absolutely love your crown molding in your house just below the ceiling! I bet your home is very lovely! I mean you set up the homes for reptiles nice, but I’m sure you don’t fill up your bathtub with mosses to keep the humidity up!😅
Yes! Thank you!
What size 8ft are you doing for him full grown?
I'm from new zealand looking to get a bearded dragon in the next 2 years. Any tips of what I should get, I have watched your care guides and a whole load of other channels about how to care for them and how to set up the vivariums. But am still a bit confused.
My enclosure isn't 120 gallons, and I was planning to keep her in the 30 to 40 gallon one that she's in now unless I can get an appropriate one for little or nothing. I'm not in the market for a tegu, but I do have a corn snake.
corn snakes do great in 120 gal
@@WickensWickedReptiles I know she would, but 120 gallon tanks are beyond my budget.
I still don’t own a reptile but I watch Reptile content
New vid🎉
WOOOOOOOOO
We have a poor range of vivariums in the UK
here in Canada too!
Fluffy puppy😂
Scale Puppy!
How many 1 on 1s do you get from patron?
My tegu is smaller and I got him a 5x2.5. He’s so spoiled
love that!
Mushu is so cute! I hope they enjoy that new home and don't dig it up or decide that something looks too tasty to be decor and it results in a $753 vet visit. Or something.
Who needs a chainsaw? Lol, love the shirt❤
You can remove the doors, you lift up and inwards, not outwards :)
welllll then, that's handy to know!
you should make a vid about reptiles with a bad rep that aren't actually so bad
I have! It's still up to watch :)
I don’t think I could make my enclosure look as good as yours even if I had infinite resources 😭😭
You sure could!
She looks SO cuuuute in there! No, I don’t need a Tegu…no, no, no, I don’t need a Tegu……ugh…my brain isn’t comprehending that. Maybe????
hahahhaa!
Adam for a ball python can I put the heat mat on the side on the enclosure?
I wouldn't recommend it
@@WickensWickedReptiles so underneath? And thanks for replying.
Heat mats are not recommended at all. Heat naturally comes from above, not below. They get their belly heat from the rock/brick under the heat lamp.
💜💚💚💜
From youngster... how long roughly would a 4x2x2 be suitable for a B&WA tegu?
depends on how fast they grow. by three years old usually you'll need to upgrade
What I do, if there’s pesticides as I freeze the moss, and it doesn’t actually hurt the moss, but it hurts the pesticides
what about grow tents
They can work for sure!
tegus like soaks in the tub like a dragon right or no ? i been searching youtube and there isnt current videos on them so i thought i would ask u..? plz n ty
There isn’t any reason to soak your tegu and especially not your dragon unless you are treating an ailment like stuck shed, blocked pour, etc
@@WickensWickedReptiles makes sense.. mine seem to like it specially to keep from pooping in their enclosure so i thought id ask .. i gave him a quick bath and he seemed to love it and pooped then i took him out.. less then 3 mins i would say. ty for answering btw!!
almost 2 years and just not moving into a 4x2x2?! she must've been brumating on you for at least half that time. tegus are weird but by far my favorite, ive kept.
She brumated for sooooo long
Hi
hi!
PS plss can you make a: top 5 reptiles from Afrika or Europe plzz❤❤❤😢
wicked idea!
Thanks!!
I have a ball python that I got from a rescue sanctuary last Monday. I held it 5 days before , it was friendy , calm and beautiful . When I went to get him he was in his hide a pcb pipe, the sanctuary "snakelady"said it will come out and gave me the pipe. It did come out once when we got it home, it's been 5 days it will not come out, I'm supposed to feed today, help !!! Please
Great build. But for a newbie reptile keeper who doesn't have the convenience of having someone give them an enclosure, have back-up substrate on hand, and has big branches and bricks in their yard (or lack there-of if they live in an apartment), and doesn't have their own green house with reptile safe plants, and isopods.
So maybe just tweaking the title to "How I Built THIS Enclosure For Almost No Money."
Otherwise, great set-up. I'm sure Mushu is loving it.
I'm having such a hard time finding a quality 8x3x4 enclosure that doesn't cost a fortune and shipping doesn't cost about as much as the enclosure. Help me please?
use the kages link below!
But they don't have an 8x3x4...only a 8x3x3 or 8x4x4.
I am confused you said you can set up a tank for little to no money, the one you are showing is 699$ w/o everything else.
How dare you, Wickens?! You know damn well that you can't do that.
It’s true, sticks and bricks are the devil!
