We have had a Triton GLS Premium here in Australia for a few weeks. We've been offroad every week (bush fires allowing). The Super Select is great. Really good. The ute overall has been great on the rough stuff out west of Sydney. It eats up the steep stuff and crawls nicely though rough. We love it.

I’ve had my new triton for 2 weeks now and this model is by far the best to date . This is my third triton and decided to get the VRX best decision I’ve made

Whats your fuel economy like for the VRX because they only come in auto?
garynz345 haven’t noticed anything to major. I think the specs put it at 8.5 litres per 100km and my old 18GLS manual was 7.8 or something like that .

Does the manual glx-r model have a rear diff lock?? I am extremely interested in this ute if thats the case. Also the 3.5 ton rating, is that with all 3 axles braked or simply a 3 axle trailer that has a trailer brake?

Awesome truck and not a rip off like Hilux and Ranger are currently.
The only drama ATM is the lack of winch compatible bull-bars....
Be warned to that the current factory Mitsubishi bars ARE NOT winch compatible either.
I would like to see them put the 8 speed transmission from the Pajero into this Ute.

More gears is for cruising less gears is for hauling that is how pick up works utilizing every power from each gears
One thing i dont like in this new 2019 Mitsubishi Triton, and Mitsubishi Xpander in Lefthand Drive Country. The handbrake stayed in right, only the steering wheel is relocated in the left. The handbrake is supposed to be beside the driver not beside the passenger.

paddle shifters should be mounted on the steering wheel though.
Disagree. Off road I have found them better where they are as you'd have crossed up hands trying to hunt down the right shifter with the wheel turning

So? Most other utes don't have a 4WD transmission for bitumen except for the Amarok (but doesn't have a low range) or a full size transmission cooler. In fact most of the opposition don't have one at all. The Super Select 11 transmission is outstanding from an overall safety point of view.
@@kevinblythe2192 it’s low standards. Go live in America and experience the standards in car comfort and technology and soon you’ll come to realise the cars we get in APAC is basically the asshole of the car industry, and you have to pay through your nose for BASICS seen in the states and Europe

No one ever loves any new looks of cars just gets into your skin with time and you get to love it . I had the same experience with the current LC 200 face lift...totally normal
Yeah I wasn't sure about the front end but put a bullbar on it and it looks great.

Totally agree. And how about the "probably". Probably the biggest boot, probably the most comfortable...mate you clearly haven't tested any others hey. Nothing against the Triton but geez just call it a sales pitch.

Mitsubishi Salesman wont tell the truth everthing is wonderful. My series 5 has been very poor not as good as my series 4 tried a series 6 and still has the same poor qualiy interior and poor quality paint and you get better grades than we do in the UK less horsepower and doesnt even have proper sat nav any more
Simon Perry no need for sat nav, i use my cellphone. In europa only has 150 hp, with the new mapping it makes 181 hp no stress. And you can still bump that number but i wouldnt recommend it due to factory warranty.
Its looks disgusting, just like the new hilux....
