On Page 376 you can see a very early prototype of the tiger (it doesnt state the date). Through page 376-379 Varius prototyps get showen, theyr storys/backgrounds explained and theyr fate stated (scrapped or reused). Page 377 tells the story of set prototyp. Only 1 existet and had a wodden mockup turret. Later in 1943 a 8,8cm flak as well some changes got added . More isnt stated in the book. The grille you were refering to was a 105mm haubize auf SelbstfahrLafette panzer3. The wespe was on a pz4.

@Random Potato Bulldogs and IS-2's aren't bad as long as you can position yourself to get the first shot because you can lol pen the bulldog. IS-2 isn't hard to pen either, sometimes you get bullshit bounces but that's just war thunder. The IS-2 has like a 30sec reload so I think it's balanced. What isn't balanced is fighting american T34's and later model Cents that can lol pen you and hull down to make themselves impenetrable to you. Cents aren't so bad when they aren't hull down, just lower plate them and watch the fireworks. But the T34's are like Luke Skywalker shooting the death star. The weakpoints are so small that you're better off shooting at the barrel and going from their. The Tiger E should move down to 5.3 imo. Or more tanks from other nations need to fill out a better 5.7 lineup so that the E isn't uptiered to 6.7 literally every match.

Elefant saw the addition of an MG 34 in the hull were it was welded shut on the earlier ferdinand. the other major noticeable improvement was the addition of a cupola for the commander. Please Gaijin it's not "Porsche and Henschel turret". The turrets were both designed by Krupp so get it right and call them Production and pre production turrets! (Also the turret on Tiger (P) is slightly different to the one on the Henschel model)

It was (kind of) produced... They even said what happened. The japanese bought one from the germans, the germans produced it and shipped it over to japan, but it never arrived there. The tank sunk together with the ship it was on. But yeah... the Maus shouldn't be removed.
The japanese underwent a trial run for a panther and a tiger, both were approved but at the time japan did not have the proper size of submarine to ship it, so as the war went on the germans refunded japan, and took back the tanks that were stationed in a warehouse in italy and used them instead to fight on the western front.

My fafourite Tiger variant ist the 10,5cm Tiger II. I hope, I‘m not alone with my opinion. Sorry for the propably bad spelling. It‘s simply not my first language.
It always annoys me when they call the king tigers with the “Porsche or Henschel” turret. They had nothing to do with the turret and only built the hulls and engines. Krupp was the company who built the turrets and were asked to make another turret that didn’t have a shell trap in it which was put on the Henschel hull instead of the Porsche.
"It can shoot while on the move" Reality: Tiger-I guns are not stabilized and can't shoot while on the move. It takes a while to shoot accurately unless if you stop.
One thing I with the devs would add to the Tiger H1/E would be the additional armor upgrade. There’s photo evidence that the Germans did that during the war.
With Tiger II turrets, it’s not Porsche or Henschel turret, that’s an incorrect fact we came up with in the west, the turrets were all designed by Krupp. The correct naming (and some support from the Tank museum in England Bovington tank museum so you believe me as I’m right) say the variants are Tiger II “P” for Pre-Production. The final variant is just Tiger II production.

I actually fought him in a Panzer IV F2 and trust me, only unexperienced players doesn't know his weakness, the turret and the separation between the turret and the hull, if you shoot there, is a one-shot kill
well, ive watched a training video on youtube about attacking tanks, and it shows that tanks armour is thinist on top, and gaijin have said in some of their videos, that when using aircraft, go for the top of the tank, for example, a jagdpanther vs a tempest strike aircraft, if you use a tempest and spot a a jagdpanther in the field, climb and try to go for the engines (at back of boxlike structure housing the main armament) that will either catch the engine on firre or destroy it, making it immobile, what im basically trying to say is,is that when playing aircraft (or tanks) try to go for the top of the vehicles
All turrets were made by Krupp. Porsche and Hensel had nothing to do with it. The "Porsche" turret was the prototype version and was a one piece casting, because it was to difficult to produce and the angles made it vulnerable to trapshots, Krupp redesigned it.
I'm an ace with Tiger 1 is really fells like i can understand Michael wittman, is easy to drive and handle if your crew have been trained to their maximum points, and if your angle is right you can bounce almost every shells in its tiers, and you have many choice of shells too.
The different turrets on the 2 main Tiger 2 are not made by Porsche and Henchell (sorry for incorrect spelling), Krupp made the turrets. The flat one was decided to be used as it was simpler and more effective
Little tip for everyone here shot the jumbo on the left side of the hull at the machinegunpoint or a littlebit above, the panther will go through this portion of the armor easily
I might be wrong but if i remember well, in a tank chat at Bobington Tank Museum it is explained that P and H do not stand for Porsche and Henschel in Tiger 2 (P) or (H)
The overlapping wheels were a problem in the Eastern Front because mud would get stuck between them and freeze this rendering the tank temporarily immobile.
I believe Japan brought several Tiger 1’s from Germany, even sent soldiers over to check them out. There were talks about disassembling the for ship or sub, but these plans never played out. Instead, they fought with German crew while still owned by Japan, hence being the only Japanese tanks to fight in the European theatre. I think Dracnifiel or the History Gun did something on them. I do not think they sunk.

The turrets of the Tiger II pre production and production variant were not designed by Henschel or Porsche. All the Tiger turrets were produced by a third company. It might have been Rheinmetall, but I'm not sure.

the problem was the spare parts were not enough and it was very complicated to repair.
The Tiger didn't had as much problems with the transmission as the Panther.

VK was a reward for couple of old events (I think old summer event had the Soviet aircobra and VK as rewards).
The turrets of the Tiger II variants are both Krupp turrets. The round one was just made for the Porsche prototypes, the VK 45.02 A and VK 45.02 B. Krupp had already manufactured about 50 of them so they were fitted on the first 50 Henschel hulls.

Sorry for the propably bad spelling. It‘s simply not my first language.
It always annoys me when they call the king tigers with the “Porsche or Henschel” turret. They had nothing to do with the turret and only built the hulls and engines. Krupp was the company who built the turrets and were asked to make another turret that didn’t have a shell trap in it which was put on the Henschel hull instead of the Porsche.

Reality: Tiger-I guns are not stabilized and can't shoot while on the move. It takes a while to shoot accurately unless if you stop.
When brawling you can move while shooting if you are good.
One thing I with the devs would add to the Tiger H1/E would be the additional armor upgrade. There’s photo evidence that the Germans did that during the war.

With Tiger II turrets, it’s not Porsche or Henschel turret, that’s an incorrect fact we came up with in the west, the turrets were all designed by Krupp.
The correct naming (and some support from the Tank museum in England Bovington tank museum so you believe me as I’m right) say the variants are Tiger II “P” for Pre-Production. The final variant is just Tiger II production.
Where is the Elefant??? Where is the Sturmtiger? Where is the second variant of the JagdTiger and the machineguns from their top back???

I actually fought him in a Panzer IV F2 and trust me, only unexperienced players doesn't know his weakness, the turret and the separation between the turret and the hull, if you shoot there, is a one-shot kill
well, ive watched a training video on youtube about attacking tanks, and it shows that tanks armour is thinist on top, and gaijin have said in some of their videos, that when using aircraft, go for the top of the tank, for example, a jagdpanther vs a tempest strike aircraft, if you use a tempest and spot a a jagdpanther in the field, climb and try to go for the engines (at back of boxlike structure housing the main armament) that will either catch the engine on firre or destroy it, making it immobile, what im basically trying to say is,is that when playing aircraft (or tanks) try to go for the top of the vehicles

All turrets were made by Krupp. Porsche and Hensel had nothing to do with it. The "Porsche" turret was the prototype version and was a one piece casting, because it was to difficult to produce and the angles made it vulnerable to trapshots, Krupp redesigned it.

I'm an ace with Tiger 1 is really fells like i can understand Michael wittman, is easy to drive and handle if your crew have been trained to their maximum points, and if your angle is right you can bounce almost every shells in its tiers, and you have many choice of shells too.

The different turrets on the 2 main Tiger 2 are not made by Porsche and Henchell (sorry for incorrect spelling), Krupp made the turrets. The flat one was decided to be used as it was simpler and more effective

Still today, a hull down jumbo needs apcr to be killed
Little tip for everyone here shot the jumbo on the left side of the hull at the machinegunpoint or a littlebit above, the panther will go through this portion of the armor easily

I believe Japan brought several Tiger 1’s from Germany, even sent soldiers over to check them out. There were talks about disassembling the for ship or sub, but these plans never played out.
Instead, they fought with German crew while still owned by Japan, hence being the only Japanese tanks to fight in the European theatre. I think Dracnifiel or the History Gun did something on them.

My favorite Tiger variant is the original Tiger H1. It's a classic, and nothing beats a classic.
The turrets of the Tiger II pre production and production variant were not designed by Henschel or Porsche. All the Tiger turrets were produced by a third company. It might have been Rheinmetall, but I'm not sure.
Nobody angles the thing. I love seeing Tigers, shells go straight through the front of that box of free points.
