Hey world travelers! Did we forget anything? Please share your Aruba travel tips below! Also, we are just getting started with our journey through the Caribbean Islands. Do you have any favorite islands we should check out?
About how long do you allow for the customs? I already had the bridge in mind, but will definitely be looking into the rock formations and winery. Also, thanks for the tip on the reusable bags - this is the first I heard about those.
My husband and I own a condo in Aruba and we agree with your assessment of this beautiful island. Aruba is so unique and beautiful. The people are even more beautiful and unique. If you haven’t visited the island yet I highly recommend you plan a trip soon! 🇦🇼❤️
I’m Aruban born and raised. Thanks for the wonderful info. If I might add my two placas. Is Aruba safe? In Aruba runners have to run very early in the morning to beat the heat. The longer the run, the earlier. I’m a female runner who mostly goes at it alone. To this day no issues on the road. Of course I prefer reasonably lit areas and stay watchful of my surroundings, but running in peace and quiet in the early morning and then watch the sun rise, is one of the things I enjoy because of the safety of Aruba’s roads. Secondly, if you really love Aruba, don’t go on those atv or utv tours. Those awful things have been a disaster for our flora and fauna and most people who live in the areas they go to detest the horrible noise and dust they make. Please go tour the north side with a guided jeep tour or renting a jeep on your own, but please avoid those awful destructive caravans.
True about the dogs - walked from Talk Of The Town hotel to downtown, decided to cut through the neighborhood & there were stray dogs everywhere! (former mailman )😊

I just left Aruba 2 days ago. The weather on average is 90 during the day and 80 at night. Also, maybe give current crime, not from 2008, 16 years ago. Aruba residents are very honest! If you lose something of value, it will most likely be turned in. My friend lost her bank card and the front desk had it. A person dropped $400 cash at Super Foods and it was turned in.
I agree they are very honest. My girlfriend left her 1200.00 camera on a vendors table. We didn't notice it until we got back to the resort. We drove back to the festival but it was after 11:00pm. We got lost but we passed the police station by accident so I decided to file a report since We were there. The next morning we got a phone call from the lobby. The police chief delivered the camera to us! Unbelievable! I've been going there for the past 10 years. My first year I met members of a band who were performing at the Bon Bini. We hit it off and became friends. We communicate every year, and three of the singers visit us at the resort at least 3 times a week and we have a great time singing Karaoke. They also take us to the places "The Locals" go. We always have a great time. It's funny because now their cousins, uncles, aunts, etc hang out too! I've watched their kids grow up. One of my friends niece is Miss Aruba and competed in the Miss Universe contest. My happiness was spoiled only one day when a TRUMPSTER decided to wear a Trump T-shirt and a MAGA hat at the resort. I filed a complaint with security as well with the Board Of Directors of the Resort. I told them that I was deeply offended and they needed to tell him that his shirt was Offensive, and that they need to prevent people like that from spoiling their country. That guy didnt wear the T-shirt or hat again. I go to Aruba to get away from crap like that in the U.S. Nobody cares what political persuation or candidate your allegiance is with. Awesome video! I noticed you didn't stay at one of the beach hotels. Any insight to a nice hotel and on which beach is the prettiest water? Thanks so much! ❤
Any hotel on Palm Beach or Eagle Beach will work. We thought Eagle Beach was the prettiest, but Palm Beach is closer to shopping, loads of restaurants, and activities.
I haven't been to Aruba in about 25 years and I still recommend this place hands down a beautiful island. I remember baby beach swimming and bringing a camera and they gave us stuff to wear...it was a store. I've of my girlfriend's is going back next month. I remember they didn't have all inclusive back then because the restaurants were so good. So they still have nice hotels without AI?
I really enjoyed the video. I'll be in Aruba this summer. I'm staying in a VRBO on Eagle Beach. I already have Red Fish on my list for dinner and you just confirmed my decision. I was planning on walking to Terrazza Italiana since it's so close to my condo but now I'm feeling concerned about the dog situation. Otherwise, I don't plan to walk in any residential areas during my vacation.
I would still walk. I don't consider Terrazza Italiiana to be a residential area. It's still mostly resorts and commercial properties. Plus, any dogs on the beach boardwalk are very friendly. So, I wouldn't worry about walking around Eagle Beach at all. It's the neighborhoods behind the Super Foods that have the more territorial dogs.

Parking is pretty much free everywhere on the island except around Palm Beach and in downtown Oranjestad. So I would take the bus into downtown and just pay to park at Palm Beach or just circle until you find free street parking.
where to stay was so short. would you trade air b nb for hotel? would you do it all the same ? what was missing for you that could have made it better? solo travel tips ?
Both hotels and Airbnb’s are great. It’s all about personal preference. We personally prefer Airbnbs. Plenty of people however do not. I suggest for long term stays go Airbnb. For short term 5 nights or less, stay in a hotel. And couples can’t really give solo travel tips. It’s two different experiences.
No you don’t need a jeep specially, but a 4 wheel drive vehicle is required to go to the Natural pool and recommend to see the Natural bridge, Cave pool and goldmines.
Also, the car rental company you used - Drive 4 Cheap - was that purchased via cash or card? Which would be better? Also, did you rent the vehicle before you arrived in Aruba or after? And was there a deposit in addition to the rental?
I reserved online and paid in cash to get that price. It’s a little bit more to pay by card. And yes there’s also a deposit in addition. I believe it was $300.
@@LucasWorldTravel it’s chill, went to the natural bridge and California lighthouse yesterday and also the flying Fishbone. First night we went to zeerovers and chilled. It’s too hot and dry for my taste, but definitely an experience lol

Did you find it hard to park your rental at the beaches? We are going in two months and staying at an Airbnb and plan to rent a car. I can’t find anything about if there is public parking near the beaches.
We didn’t have any problems parking. Most places have free parking. Parking can be a challenge around Palm Beach though. You might have to pay for parking there. You should be able to find free parking everywhere else.

When is the best time to travel to Aruba?
February-August
First time I see Lucas’ face so open. Although Aruba is a Dutch territory, the euro is not used?
Correct, Aruba was a Dutch colony but has been independent since 1986 and has never used the Euro.
Can we pay bus with card... in bus, or do we need to buy before
You must use cash for the bus. They can make change in both Florin and dollars but they don’t take credit cards.
