      Great video and even better entry-level PCP Rifle 💯💯💯. I'm not a huge fan of the pump so I use a larger 4,500psi pump. The rifle can be tuned so it will send slugs downrange and it loves them putting out 750-800 fps with 21grain HN slugs.

      I bought this air rifle a month ago. My first PCP and I absolutely love it. I’ve had to repair the hand pump three times in that time. Is there anyone you know that can make a informative repair/rebuild hand pump video? The schematics in the manual are very basic and extremely hard to see for older eyes. Thanks.

    Rick just wanted to say thank you for all the great info I am new to The Airgun world been at it for about a year I don't make a purchase without watching your reviews they help narrow down my decisions and answers all my questions please keep up the good work and thank you

      Thanks Robert. It helps hearing that. My type of videos are getting gobbled up by “reality” style shows done by folks that really don’t have the background to be advising anyone about anything. They are entertaining and i appreciate their content from that point.
      I’ll keep doing what I do as long as the sponsors keep me on. It’s getting harder each year.
      Cheers

    Thank you so much for the awesome review, how does this get compared to air venturi avenger? which one do you recommend to beginner?

    Wonder if they’ll come out with a 25 cal like the Gauntlet? Itd be interesting to see how it compares to the .22

    Seems like a decent beginner gun but I'm glad I bought the avenger. The Avenger suits MY needs. But then again when I first started with PCPs it was with the discovery. After just the first 10 shots I knew I needed more adjustability.

    I just got the origin and I like the gun but the pump is garbage. Out of the box I couldn't get the pressure over 2,000 psi, the upstroke on the pump became impossible and it was pulling itself back down like excess pressure was building up inside the pump. I rebuilt the pump and finally got it to go to 3,000 psi, but when it gets there it starts building up excess pressure in the pump again. This is my first pcp and I am very disappointed with the pump, and a lot of people in the forums have been having the same problems. I ordered a Chinese hand pump from Ebay, it hasn't arrived yet but hopefully it will work better, everyone in the forums say the Chinese pump is much better. Umarex should not have included a pump if it was going to be such garbage, it's enough to discourage most people from pcp's.

    A lower fill pressure Avenger with a force multiplier. Smart idea. Throw in a hand pump,and get multi pump, and break barrel shooters in the game. Smart. Air guns are like Lays potato chips...you can’t have just one. Watching NV real hard. Amazing things might be happening soon.

  • @calebchristensen900
    @calebchristensen900 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    I’m a bit disappointed they didn’t bundle a scope with the gun or at least put open sights on it. Then again, the gauntlet didn’t come with one either.

    Love the gun but, the hand pump that I got would only pump 1000 psi and that was it. The hand pump would spring back up at you. Tried to contact Umarex about this issue with know reply, sooo I bought a hpa compressor and everything is good now. My point being a $400 gun turned into a $1000 gun

    To me I would think you would want to shoot a pellet of at least 20 grains to tame that velocity for best accuracy

    • @kevincornell1439
      @kevincornell1439 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      mine strings shots 3 inch's left to right with a 14.3 grain pellet at 30 yards and top to bottom is about 1/2 of a inch. don't know if it is the gun or pellet but not very happy with mine. going to try and get some heavier pellets and see if that helps before i send it back. i have a 120$ Crossman .177 brake barrel that shoots 1/2 inch groups at 30 for me. so i know its not me.

    Please I need your help, I have been thinking for two months and I cannot make the decision yet, I am looking for a rifle that has enough power, because I have a coyote problem on my ranch, I am in the middle of the g magnum fallow deer and this umarex origin, Both are around the same price but because of the spare part I think a lot because of the origin it will be more difficult to get them in Mexico. What is the approximate useful life of the parts of the unarex origin? Thanks for your videos I send you a greeting from Nuevo Laredo Mataulipas Mexico and I await your response to be able to make a decision ...

      HEY HOW YOU DOING ALEJANDRO I SEE YOU PUT UP ON THE POST ABOUT TAKING OUT A COYOTE BETWEEN THE GAMO MAGNUM AND UMAREX ORIGIN TO ME I WILL THINK THE GAMO MAGNUM WILL BE A BETTER HUNTING AIR RIFLE THAN THE UMAREX ORIGIN I HAVE BOTH OF THEM AND THE GAMO HAS MORE KNOCKDOWN POWER . IF YOU WANT JUST GO ON TH-cam AND CHECK THE KNOCKDOWN POWER ON BOTH AIR RIFLES GOOD LUCK

      @eddiecahall3824 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Budsc1 👍 I have break barrel springers that do it. That umarex isn't worth almost $400 bucks. Mine came with poor quality control. The Air pump didn't even work. Umarex wouldn't back it up when I tried to contact them either. The Air Rifle is cheaply made with plastic parts. The cocking lever is even cheap. I have other pcp air rifles in the same price point with way better quality! The Umarex Origin is def a hole in hole shooter if you can get a good setup and working good with some time in it. After I finally got it going it shot really good. I think it just feels and looks like a toy with poor quality might break at some point. I don't have a shop to work on it or one to work on it for me near. If I didn't have a little knowledge about one, I'd been shit out of luck. Good thing it wasn't someone that needed to rely on one for survival or something! Ed The Backyard Sniper Man😀✌

    I get what his saying but for the avenger your not going to pump it good luck all the time.. for I have two guns hatsan flash .25 shooting mk2 at 48fpe 21 shots on the regulator total cost $280 and a pp700sa.22 shooting jsb knockouts at 26fpe 17 shots on the regulator cost $233 don’t know why you all don’t show that gun and the pp750. I use a $35 pump from eBay I think they are $50 now. I have had it for 3yrs no problem it’s so good I got another for back up. Both of these guns are easy to pump and they have power

    If Benjamin can put a 3-9x40 with their break barrels, Umarex can do so as well. I’d pay the extra $100 for it and mounts. At the very least they should’ve put some traditional sights on it. I’m probably in the minority on this.

    Definitely an attempt to compete with the amazing Avenger! It's nice, but... falls short of the much more superior Avenger in every category. I am 5'7" talk and weigh 170 lbs and pump my Avenger .25(which the Origin doesn't come in)up to 4000psi daily with nowhere near the problem seen here. Decent rifle Umarex, but falls well short of the quality, performance and accuracy out of box of the Avenger. With the Avenger you get performance comparable with rifles 3X the price.... The Origin... Another unregulated $300 PVP that every manufacturer is going to produce trying to keep up with the Avenger. Another exercise in futility, same money, better performance, GO WITH THE AVENGER YOU WILL NOT REGRET YOUR DECISION!!
