I just happened to be working today on an 04 f250 super duty 5.4L. Did an oil change on it pulled an accessory light on top of the cab. Finished that then went to crank it it turned over for and died in about 2 seconds then nothing only cranked. Replaced a fuel filter but verified no pump when I put the new one. Checked all the fuses good. Popped off passenger cover by fire wall checked the stuff the looked like some kind of module the checked and was good. Ran a hot wire to pump gas flowed out. Then went to find the purple w/black wire no power at the pump. Went check all the fuses again good. I was getting tired of this model truck did some more internet searching found this Video. All I did was hit the Dash like he said and boom the fuel pump kicked on connected the fuel lines the motor turned over. Thanks

On my 2003 f250 5.4, the relay is not behind the radio. I pulled that relay and it killed my blinkers but my engine still starts and runs. On the driver side engine compartment, there are two small relays and one large one but the engine still runs with them removed. So even though they say it was 2004 when the relay was soldered to the PC board behind the passenger side kick-panel; I'm suspecting that is where it is?

Unfortunately for me that relay cover didn't just pop off. What a pain. So a follow up. Only one large relay behind the radio but it was not for the fuel pump. I found mine on driver side in engine compartment. Little black box with 2 small and one large relay. These also were not the fuel pump relay as the truck runs with them removed. Maybe mine has a fuel control module back by the fuel tank. I'll look there next.

@@TaylorCutsTrees I only have a large black one and yes it is the blinker.

@@TaylorCutsTrees Mine does not have a blue blinker. The wires on the back only go to one of the two sets of sockets for a black relay with five pins just like most relays but I can feel it clicking every time the blinker blinks. This is weird. I'm going to remove the fuse panel under the dash on the driver's side to see if I have a relay wired to a circuit board like the Expeditions have that's located under the kick panel on the passenger side.

So why does it have five prongs like a relay? All the flashers I've seen only have two prongs.

    was that the fix?
I pulled the cover. the blue fat relay had been replaced with napa.
there were no small sideways pin relays below?
    I'm confused
