    Thank you for the information. I would like to add that you can reach these relays by removing the panel under the steering and the heater duct. Then reach up from under. A small mirror helps to put back the relay if you remove all of them.

    Thank you for making this video, it was the problem my truck had too but mine started running really rough before it quit in my yard. Went and got the relay you said and boom it was fixed. We didn't have a book so this saved me so much, thanks again!

    Been looking for that fuel pump relay on my truck for a minute today. Damn. Looked all over. I was gonna jumper a hot wire to the socket to run the pump continuous to drain the last 10 gallons of diesel out the tank but not doing it like that. To hard to reach that socket. Now I'll just hook a 12 volt jump box direct to the pump. Gotta replace the Motorcraft PS176 fuel level sender as it has a spot in the middle where it has extreme high resistance and makes my fuel gauge read full, till I burn the fuel load down below that point. Kind of annoying, so I will make factory fresh new again.

      Actually, I discovered, the hard way, one of those relays is the Low Voltage Relay which protects the PCM should the system voltage supply drop below the prescribed amount. It will then shut the electrical input off completely to the protected items. The truck WILL NOT start, period.

    Great job buddy 👏🏾
    And thanks so much for showing us about that funny little relay.
    I have a 99' 5.4 and a 04' 6.0 and I am always doing maintenance on both of them.
    Take buddy and good luck with your truck, runs great now 👌🏾

    As an aside....The front windshields tend to develop a leak around the seal and rain water cause several short issues.

    Seems cold solder joints on backside of fusebox causes by relay running hot. External relay solution. I did not do any of that. Put the fuel pump on switch inside truck.

    I'm currently having this issue with my 1999 F350 7.3. It's a buzzing noise that mine is making and when the sound goes away, she cranks up but when it's buzzing I get nothing. Ive replaced the 2 relays there for the pump relay and the trailer. Starting to wonder should I replace the 2 fuses under the hood too....

    • @powerstrokepatriot5480
      @powerstrokepatriot5480  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Where is the buzzing coming from, the fuel pump? Sounds like a possible bad ground. You can check power at the inertia switch when your having the no start. I think pink and blue wire is power there

    Hi brother good video I’m sort of hoping I’m in the same situation I’ve had no problems with mine it’s a 2001 7.3 the other day of course trying to go to work no start the pump seems fine but if I remove the cables from batteries and put them back it starts right up hahah and it keeps happening

    • @powerstrokepatriot5480
      @powerstrokepatriot5480  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Does it crank? Have you tried starting in neutral? If you can hear the pump prime with key on, you should be good there. Check volts on batteries and check alternator when running and make sure everything is charging properly. And check for power at the starter

    • @audioface420
      @audioface420 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    • @crandallscooking

      Run power from the battery ( + & - ) directly to the pump, with the key in the on position. If you don’t hear the pump start to prime, the pump is probably dead.
