hey, i have a 2002 F250 . every video i see says there are two fuse boxes. one under steering column the other which is large is under hood. How come mine doesn't have one under hood? Where everyone else has a big fuse box all i have is a little thing that holds one large relay and two small relays. thats all. I'm having issues with my AC compressor not working. i jumpered power direct and it comes on. i also jumpered the hi low switches and it dont work. so i was trying to locate my relay. the one i found i pulled and jumpered it on two wires and clutch pulled in. so i replaced that relay. still dont work. now i'm lost. fuses look good.
I'm having the exact same issue I'm trying to work through now my AC clutch has 13vdc going to it at the pins when unhooked and as soon as I plug it in it falls to 0.8vdc also I jumped it straight to the battery as well and put a amp meter on it and the coil is using 3.4 amps doesn't seem excessive. I know there is a bad connection or corroded connection somewhere for it to not carry the 3.4 amp load same as yours doesn't blow the 10 amp supply fuse. I checked the connector under the hood to the high low switch and compressor and have less then 0.1 ohms so I know it has to be some where else my money is on the relay for the AC clutch but I can't seem to locate it if it even has a relay for the AC clutch. Let me know if you figured this out. If I find something I'll post it.
I found the relay it's under the hood driver side behind the air box under the cap is 3 relays 1 regular 5 pin ford relay and two small ones. The bigger 5 pin relay was bad. Replaced it and now the clutch kicks in
Thanks for your help
Happy to help
