I wish I could paint like this! It takes great devotion, great study, and great commitment. Thanks Andrew! You’re the best! (My favorite in the world).
he offers courses and tutorials. did you get into one of em? you have to start and over time you will reach your goal but thats not coming from wishes...
I'm watching you paint all of these rocks, and I still don't know how you do it oal rocks everywhere looks as if everyone has got a special attention. I could never begin to such a massive cluster of rocks, just blows my mind I think about it. LOL this painting is absolutely breathtaking as the rest of your landscapes. Brilliant! Thank you for allowing us to be part of the process. Keep them coming.
Many of your comments, confirm thoughts that I have concluded as I discover painting techniques, color and , as you state, hacks for successful outcomes. Thank you once again for painting insights. Beautiful painting.
17:50 I've only been painting for less than 4 months and I've discovering that! If you apply more paint to objects closer to you and less in the shadow even tho it's only mm's difference, there IS a difference. I found it by accident, I put a blob of paint on a rock and found the blob created a shadow where I'd left a bead of paint off the edge of my brush.
You are super observant! It took me years to learn what you found out in such a short time! I believe it's called" Texture" . I paint with thin paint called "glazes" like the old masters! no texture! anything that stands out from the surface- does make a huge difference- like thick paint! I have taken it a step farther! I am experimenting with a raised surface, like embossing before painting, using epoxy putty to give it extra depth! especially in the foreground before applying my oil paints. Final detail is then added with thicker paint! You are definetly on the right track!
There is no words to describe how amazing you are. When you describe what you are doing in your painting, you transmit such a profound harmony that it catapults you into a parallel world, it almost seems to me that I am breathing this clean air, feeling the drops of the waterfall touching my face. What you are able to convey is something that only an artist with a capital A can do.
Wow, how amazing it is to listen and watch you paint. We are like in a trance, and it’s over before we want it to. You are a true genius with the colours. Simply beautiful, I wish the painting was mine to look at in my home. Thank you so very much for sharing your artwork with us. I love it.
Fantastic work of Art my friend it looks awsome.. seems you've pushed the bar even further with this one.. keep it up and Thank you for sharing your thoughts and process 🙏😊
I’m a beginner-painting for a year and a half! What u say about ppls reaction and ur hoped for reaction resonates with me because people say, of some of my paintings that it makes them feel calm or peaceful! Your intention u say is second nature but I’m not truly there where I’ve decided unconsciously, that I want to always paint that painting that has a calming effect! Ty, always for sharing! I have learned so very much from you!
Hi there Andrew, my compliments on this meticulous work of art, it's demanded many many hours ( months) of patience from you, but you did it!! the owner must be thrilled with it! It's a beautiful gift you have been given, and you use it to the limits!! Hope you and the family are well. God bless ,and love from The Netherlands ❤🤍💙🙏
i did enjoy this video. last time i watched your videos i was dealing with cancer, good news is its gone, probably for ever, so now im getting back to painting thank you for these
I think you've outdone yourself with this stunning masterpiece, Andrew! The time & effort you put into all the little squiggles to create the light dancing around on the underwater rocks is amazing. And that in addition to all the work on the stone cliffs & foliage. Bravo!!!
Watching and listening to you as you paint is a treat for me. Your work is what few people can achieve because of constraints of normal life. God has been good to us through your art. Thank you for sharing the way you do.
This was very enlightening. I have always wanted to paint like Monet,my favorite artist. Lately i've really been enjoying Kandinsky. My eyes and mind doesn't see the same way as they do. It would be interezting to be Kandinsky and see music as color or like Monet and run inthe same circles of so many talented men of the day stepping out into a new way of painting. After listening to you I realize that I will never paint like those two men.I have spent my life being just "the Roger" and I will go one painting like "the Roger". I am the only one i have to please with my work and get enjoyment in doing so.
This is insane Andrew, oh my god. I can't wait to join your academy. and bring my paintings out of this galaxy. you have already crossed human limits. thank you sir for teaching us and being on this earth. really really grateful for that.
Really enjoyed this video again LOL. I am just in awe. There is no doubt you're the master of painting rocks!... No Doubt you are the most patient painter on the planet. Such small brush Strokes throughout the entire humongous painting..( awesome.) blows my feeble mind... buy🤯 ... really enjoy watching you paint ...(always). thank you. ...❤
Thankyou Andrew for the teaching and inspiring others to stay commited to their Artwork moreso thankyou for producing what the creator had made for us to marvel and enjoy and in this case paint!
Theres nothing wrong about using a projecter or coping a photo- but your Painting must be better! Leaving things out or changing colors! must watch out for the destortions a camera or projectors make! Saves a lot of time to make more time for your artistic subject and composition!
Wow what a landscape. I' m a landscape enthusiast. I LOVE to love this painting, so that is what I did, I don't mind watching this video a million times 👍 Thank You for creating and for telling us your thought process as you paint❤🥰
Believe it or not!, I think there is better way! I think Andrew is the best in the world! I've been painting in oils ,off and on most of my life. I'm light years behind Andrew's work, but have come up with an idea, that will take it even farther! I paint mainly in glazes on plywood panels. Before the final painting I use epoxy putty for a "raised" surface similar to embossing or sculpture! AMAZING RESULTS! 3-D effect? Please let me know what you think!
I really believe nobody in the world that could do this as you have! It's amazing such a huge painting with such small brushes. It must take you over a year to finish one of these. Maybe a lifetime. LOL just remarkable, what talent and originality! Truly you are a master in your own time. Thank you for letting us be a part of it..... The only thing I have learned ?I've learned that I couldn't do it. LOL
I have to agree!! I've made only one painting in my life that is comparable to Andrew's! He seems to do it every day! Most people want to make instant paintings to show their feelings as " true" art! My best work has taken many hours and hard work! PEOPLE DO NOTICE,,! Do what satisfies you the most !
This painting sparked the ambition to do more work💯🙌!!! Loved the painting and I've seen this painting on Instagram but never found a turtle or wallaby till now😅😂
For some reason i left your channel a while ago ( sorry😢) I’m so glad I came back! It’s 12.50am in the UK and I’ve been binge watching for 4 hours!! Thank you for sharing Andrew 👍🇬🇧❤️
Very nice work, hope the customer is satisfied. It must be very pleasant that someone orders such a work, if you just paint it it will be difficult to sell because of the high price, all those hours. But these are the works that stay with me, they are impressive. am also glad you paint so much detail, i like paintings when you take a step forward. If you have to step back they are usually badly painted.
Just the multi-colored foreground of rocks and moving water alone would be a bada$$ painting. The number of "hidden" faces in the rock face is awesome. I know they werent intentional, but I can't un-see them now. Awesome work as always. One of the best teachers of them all. 🤘👽 (spoiler alert.... that Norse God in the overhanging cliff on the left at mid canvas, ALMOST looks intentional.)
If you lived in the 17th century, today you would be put on an equal footing with Caravaggio, Vermeer or Rembrandt. Your talent is called genius. I wish you every success!
Imagine seeing those chunks or "striations" of layered earth next to the waterfalls and spread around the earth and realizing that they are remains of ancient massive trees!!
Great video Andrew ! I bought your video on landscape painting, really enjoyed it. Learned quite a bit of great techniques and gave me millions of ideas for my own paintings,

It’s called discipline. Refined with practical understanding that comes with application experience and failure.
If wishes were horses, beggars would ride

Thankyou Andrew for the teaching and inspiring others to stay commited to their Artwork moreso thankyou for producing what the creator had made for us to marvel and enjoy and in this case paint!
looks like a paint by numbers to me I have been painting for 40 years can't imagine I would feel good about using a projector for my layout
