    I used this on a clients SUV. Heavy Water spots on paint, trim, windows, and glass roof. I washed the car as normal. Rinsed off soap. While vehicle was still wet, I took an applicator and went to work. A couple of small drops on the applicator really did go a long way and IT WORKED!! After I did the entire vehicle, I washed as normal, dried it off, and called it a day. Im not a big CG fan but the WSR really does work well. No complaints from me

    It depends on how long the water spots have been there, if its more than 3-5 days, nothing will get it off outside of a compound/polish/paint correction. Once those minerals etch themselves it, it's very tough to get them out. In some instances, you will have to wet sand and possible (worst case) re-coat the car.

    Used this water spot remover Just three weeks ago for first time. Followed correct directions by watching Chemical Guys video. My black suv had water spots from at least two years old. This product was easy to use and the results were amazing!. After using it I used their wet look glaze, again easy. Then put on Wolfgang Fusion Wax and to finish it off Xtreme Topper. The vehicle has a wet mirror like finish best I have ever had. I will always use CG Heavy Duty Spot Remover from now on.

    Didn’t touch the watermarks on my black audi. Had to use a DA with compound. They were etched in. One hose on one sunny day for a brief moment etched the paint. 😡

      DA its the last resource, not the Best way to take it off. Generally I use Meguiars heavy oxidación remover by hand or IGL Delete. This work fine, today I Just bought CG HWSR, so I Will see how it work. Probably Will work. Im a CG supplier but not a fan on all CG product lines. My Arsenal has a lot of brands inside.

      If they're etched deep enough in the clear coat, compounding is the only way to take them out. You should still use a chemical beforehand to dissolve solve the hard minerals which compounding will not do.

    It works for me on black paint. Water spots that had been on the car for several years. You dont have to scrub it on. Just wipe a liberal amount and let it set for 30 sec. or a minute and use a detail spray to wipe it off.

Is this for heavy situations like water spots on the car over years where it’s etched into the paint or are we talking just water appointments from the day or week’s previous wash in the sun or sprinklers a few days/weeks ago?

    OMG, the hood metal is sooooo thin!!! It moves when he wipes it! OMG!! Besides, if he's having water spot issues so bad, why is he keeping the vehicle under a tree and / or next to sprinklers that the water hits and dries in such spots AND why hasn't he applied a finish material such as a fine wax or other finish that easily allows for the water to be removed? Why isn't the vehicle covered so the finish isn't damaged by water spotting?

    The best water spot remover is distilled water when washing car because it contains no minerals which causes water spots.

    • @mkygod
      @mkygod 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Distilled water would a water spot preventer, not a remover. And no one has that much distilled water available on hand unless you buy it by the gallon. Deionized water would be much easier and cheaper to make and would work just as well.

    • @cfm17hellcat11
      @cfm17hellcat11 ปีที่แล้ว

      Distilled water and white vinegar applied after washing and clay barring would work well.
      A 50/50 mixture applied with a soft sponge that
      has soaked in this
      mixture. Allow to dwell on the surface, rinse thoroughly and wipe dry.

      Work smarter not harder! If they are etched water spots on paint or glass start with a clay bar and ALWAYS first and foremost wash your vehicle before you do more damage to the paint.
