Great video! Can't believe that Aston Martin story! I parked my car by the sprinklers in my Apt complex recently and today I went and noticed spots all over! I thought I could simply take my Meguiar's instant detailer and spay it on since the car was recently cleaned. That didn't help at all! I was seriously pissed off! I went to the wash and did pre-soak and then powerwash and most came off the side and hood. BUT I still have spots on my roof that would not come off no mater how much Meguiar's Instant detailer I sprayed on. I'm going to give this product a try in hopes it gets ride of the spots. Must be a ton of Calcium or something in my city's water. I'm going to be extra careful from now on. Also, I recently waxed my car and that does not help repel at all! This did a great job on your wheels! Thanks man
3D waterspot remover is a POWERFULgel. I used it on my wife's 21 Explorer that had some water spots on the hood after I coated it about a month earlier. Its black and sits outside so it gets the super easy. After I put it on the hood and let it sit for a min or two in the garage and rinse it off. It completely killed the Gtechniq CSL I had her car coated with on the hood. I had to recoat her hood after I was done.
I tried drying fresh washed car with leaf blower under sunlight---big mistake, just made the water spots form quicker. Came back with 50/50 spray bottle of water and vinegar, sprayed the areas with spots and micro fibered the spots gone. Shiniest my car has ever looked!
This just saved me. I used my buddy of mines power washer the other day and it had a shitty foam cannon that spit out soap water and it dried on my car. Thanks to you I can get them out with this product.
@@Mannyfresh_ sounds like you misunderstood what I said. Electric power washers come with a crappy quote on quote foam cannon that actually just sprays soap water. Maybe you need to rewatch some of the detail videos to understand the difference. Don't judge a book by its cover.
Nice work Josh! This MaxShine to the rescue for water spots. I've used white vinegar on glass shower doors and it worked well. I like the idea of having something slightly less acidic that will cling to the surface better and not damage the paint.
Watched the vid and by for was the most informative and the results of the product was great…bought 2 water spot remover bottles and a nonpressure washer bottle. Used your affiliate code also.
Thanks for this video! How long would you let this sit on your paint before rubbing off and rinsing? How long would this take to apply to all panels of the car? Would it be offensive to suggest my detailer use this?
Had bad water spots on car sitting next to neighbors sprinkler x 1 year. Bad real bad. Watched videos. Local detailers said $250_350 no inside cleaning. Took off with McGuire ultimate compound and a 30 dollar buffer Walmart. DIY! No need all these products and techniques and expensive buffers. Hope this helps.
Awesome!! Water spot remover can help break down the deposits making it a bit easier, but compound and polish is always a good way to go to!! There are always cases where the water spots actually etch in to the paint and sometimes beyond repair in extreme cases
i love suds lab wheel cleaner especially for the price, i bought griots wheel cleaner for 20 bucks and after 2 washes my bottle was basically gone, suds lab was cheaper and iv done 2 washes and still half a bottle left
If this is an acidic chemical product I'd hesitate using it on the car's body paint. However, I've used acidic products on wheels and I also use a polymer or acrylic sealant on the wheels as well. If you got a older daily driver I guess it's moot since most drive commercial car washes use water that has an acidic product diluted in it.
Do you have a tutorial on a product that can remove hard water spots on windows? I was really hoping you would show some removing hard water spots on glass.
I have water spots on my car that has clearly etched into the clearcoat, because using Gyeon Water did not really do much to resolve it. Or it could mean that I have to resort to cutting and polishing with a machine. If so, what compound and pad do you recommend to use for removing hard water spots? And what type of car shampoo do I have to use beforehand?
Hi-Thank you for all you do! Keep up the good work. Q: Have some nasty water spots from the rain while camping. I think it's mixed with pine tree sap (?). Will this work for these water spots? The sap came off easier with isopropyl alcohol that the water spots which are nearly impossible with my normal wash/detailing sprays. My car was coated with nano-graphene last year and I'm surprised by this. Thank you for any guidance!
Just for some clarification, water spot remover won’t remove spots that have etched. At that point, you’re dealing with physical clear coat damage which will require paint correction. For spots that haven’t etched, I’ve also had good luck with ClearSR from The Last Coat.
How long does water spots take to etch? Just bought a 2023 Honda and it has HORRIBLE water spots! It's all over the piano black exterior trim and that definitely looks the worst.
Can you do a video about best cleaning soap? You already did best foaming, but are those directly correlated? Just bought my setup and got the MJJC from your website. Can’t wait to use it!

So the waterspots r baked fully on there.. gonna try this method on it and wheels and tell them that my ceramic does not garantee hard water if they r gona just leave it by sprinklers. Any thoughts? Great video thank you!!
Thanks Josh. It would be good to know how effective this is on paint as you used the wheels as an example. I have used many products to date for water spot removal on my Mazda however I can still see them. They seemed to be etched into the clear coat due to the length of time they have been on the car and no treatment to date has been effective. I would rather not have to wet sand the paint. Visually it seems to be mainly on the bonnet (hood for you US folk) and the roof.

How about using ordinary white vinegar? I was surprised to see it not on the pH chart. It is about 4% acetic acid and won't get you in trouble In fact, you can drink the stuff. Amazing for lime deposits. Next on the strength scale would be Lime Away.

Hey Josh, I have a question regarding coating. So I got my car graphene coated(10H)recently (package for 6 years) & I have to visit my detailer once in a year for maintainence.
