Water spots are caused by water that dries onto the vehicle surface, leaving behind mineral deposits. This tutorial will give you different techniques to safely remove water spots from your car’s paint or glass.

    3. Paint correction. Watch my paint polishing tutorial here: • Paint POLISHING tutori...
Whatever the scenario, don’t leave water spots unattended for too long. The longer they bake onto the surface, the harder they will be to remove.
Pro tips to prevent water spots:
    1) Don’t wash your car in direct sunlight or heavy heat. After washing your car, make sure you dry it as quickly as possible using a microfiber drying towel
    2) Use a quick detail spray as a drying aid. This helps add lubrication during the drying but also helps lift any minerals left behind with the water.
    3) Go the extra mile by using a car dryer to blow water from window seals, door jams, door sills, mirrors and grilles. This will reduce water drips.
    4) Avoid parking near sprinkler systems. Also, test the water hardness levels in your home. You might want to invest in a water softener or water deionizer system. Watch my video: • WATER SOFTENER SYSTEM ...
    5) Apply paint protection to your paintwork. A wax, a paint sealant or a ceramic coating will greatly reduce the chances of developing water spots due to the hydrophobic properties of that protection. The protection will repel water and prevent it from sticking to the paint.

Finally a detailed video on this! On another note, I used the water spot remover from P&S and it did a great job. It is an acid though (says clearly on the bottle) so maybe that might or might not be a deal breaker for any of you. Honestly though, if you just follow the directions and use common sense, you will be just fine and get great results.

Before watching your video I already dealt with some water spots left on my car using only vinegar and water 50/50 mixture. Worked perfectly . I watched it multiple times and then some more of your videos.
I was convinced and ordered everything you used from that first video, but not a polisher. I'll do it by hand.
My car really needs a complete wash and wax as the water just stays on the body like it's a mobile swimming pool.
I got the foam gun adapter for my K5 Karcher so this weekend looking forward to snow bathing my car.
Also, this morning I used the 50/50 vinegar/water solution and all the years of water droplets have gone.

Pan, great video. I live in a very dry (low humidity) area, and water spots are enough to drive one crazy. Tried the TW Ice Quick Detailer as a drying aid and wow did that work after taking a leaf blower to the car to clear the most of the water off the surface. Keeping in mind that the TW Ice Shine and Seal AND Ice Spray wax is already on the car so the surface is in primo condition and sheets water very well. I think I just found my new wash method without any streaking or hassles AND without putting too much wax on an already waxed surface since I wash the car weekly. Thanks Pan! Keep the tips and tricks coming! Wish I had a Pan emoticon for "keep it tight, keep it clean" for you buddy!

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Thanks! The same steps apply for ceramic coatings and graphene coatings. You can use water spot removers just like you would for ceramic coatings.
Keep in mind ceramic and graphene coatings are WAY more durable and chemical resistant compared to traditional waxes and sealants, so no worries. Also, brands who develop the coatings also develop the water spot removers, so you know they are safe to use. For example, CarPro makes the Spotless water remover. It works quite well on coatings.
But also keep in mind it depends how bad and how etched in your water spots are. If they have been there for a while and caked into the paintwork, sometimes the only thing that will work is machine polishing, and that will obviously remove the coating so you will have to reapply the coating.
