Thanks so much for posting Midwest Country. We don’t get the show in our area. Really like Bobby Darren and the other fine artists keeping the real thing alive. Totally blows away the goat vomit coming out of Nashville. And I do remember the National Barn Dance on WLS Chicago when I was in grade school. They had a powerful clear channel frequency (850 AM? can’t remember now) that came in like it was coming from next store. I remember Bob Atcher, Lulu Belle & Scotty, Captain Stubby & The Buccaneers, Dolph Hewitt, and of course Arky The Arkansas Woodchopper. Lisa Marie did one of my favorite songs “The Box That It Came In”, one of Wanda Jackson’s evergreens. Regards
