My sweet daddy wanted Jimmy Capps book for Christmas in 2020 and I bought it for him off Amazon. He never got to read it. He passed a few days before Christmas. 😢 He watched this show and now I watch it to remember him and feel connected to him until we meet again.
Got to see Bobby in North Carolina when l was a boy. Best tenor bluegrass singer l ever heard. Bobby was a Korea war veteran in the Marines, he received the 💜 Purple Heart Medal . Great entertainer, great gentleman. Rest in peace. 🙏
84 year old kentucky boy born in chavies ky.was told the osborn bro,s were related to me, hyden ky had a lot of Bowling,s there.we left hyden area in 1941, my dad was a carpenter,retired & returned to hyden ky. In the 1960,s.i visited him in around 69, when i got to hyden the first thing i saw when i entered hyden was the sign of DR.JOHN BOWLING,S OFFICE ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE STREET WHEN WE ENTERED TOWN.MY GREAT GRAND FATHER WAS JOHN HENRY BOWLING.(spot jaw). Great memories.

Bobby Osbourne, & Sonny Osbourne were originally from Eastern Kentucky, but was most known for their Tennessee State song Rocky Top .

He was! He made this appearance on Larry's Country Diner as a solo act with his band, The Rocky Top X-Press, back in 2014.
