Yes it is but as I think about who was better I cannot think of anyone who outshines him. Probably my #2 pick of best would be Vince Gill, another great talent.
I have 200 LPs of original Merle Haggard vinyl records, almost everything he ever released. Thank you for sharing all this great music. 🎶🇺🇸🥀🙏❤️
Merle was a real patriot, love this song. Americans were really lucky having the opportunity to see him on tv shows and his concerts. His fellow musicians rightly praised him and appreciate d him.
I agree. He loved this country, maybe NOT the political systems but he loved the country.

One of countries best ever.
Wow such a voice. That dimple is delicious, so good looking. Such a shame his record labels didn’t appreciate what a talent he was, he had to work so hard. He was an absolute phenomenome
Special classic country from Merle Hagerd I grew up listening 🎶to him ❤❤
Wow . Poetic rebel , this boys, and girls is real country music.
Sounds awesome, and no special sound effects or equipment like they use today, just pure talent.

Thanks , awesome performance by Merle . Love his music and consider him as one of the best. Nobody today can come close. I listen to Merle, Willie,Waylon, George and Cash more than the modern country artists. Again, thanks for sharing- GingerS
Country the king
Merle was so handsome n I learned young from my brother that came home from Vietnam to love Merle’s music ❤❤
That was haggard. Those words are so damn true. In 2024. In America. On the edge. Like never in history….
He was one handsome dude - those eyes, those kissable lips - wow - never mind what he sang, just looking at him, he would get my vote.
I agree. I've been in love with Merle since I was 3 years old. My sister had the Branded Man album when it was first released and it was IT for me. "Don't Get Married" (my name's Julie) had me doubly hooked. I don't even know how many times I've seen him live, but he NEVER disappointed.
I totally agree
Hey
He was my Man..
Took a lot of shit growing up for loving him so!
WOW!! It Don't Get any Better than This,,He Was The BEST !!😊
And then,and then...comes Ben Haggard,just WOW !
The voice that echoes 'round the world.
One of the coldest evenings in Toledo Ohio I was given the honor of witnessing one of Musics GREATIST ARTIST. That would be Merle Haggard .He wrote and sang most of his own Music. It was simply breathtaking .I didn"t know it at the time but it was probably the best concert I have ever been to, Thank you Merle and to his band . I shall always remember his show .
I saw Merle at the Sports Arena in Toledo Ohio many years ago.I am now 83 and still love listening to his music.Im happy his 3 sons are carrying on his music.I believe Ben sounds more like him and plays the guitar sounding like his Dad.
They have it on TV but that's not country I'll keep the phone listening to what I want love.
Love me some Merle 😁🥳♥️♥️♥️
What a great tribute! Thx. I love Hank and Jimmy Rodgers but Haggard is #1 for me. Rip Papaw Larry
Losing him was like losing my dad all over again. I still get chills listening to that steel guitar.
The main guitar licks was Roy Nicoals lead guitar nom hamlet on steel they had the strangers recognized music
@@douglashowell9968 One record, he claimed he, Roy Nichols, IW Harper and Jim Beam wrote a song together called Billy Overcame His Size/Hobo Bill.
