Probably the best true WCW game released for playstation, Odd thing is that if you combine different parts of all of the WCW playstation games (mayhem's graphics and commentary, nitro/thunder's wrestler rants, backstage assault's roster and moves) into one game, you would get a game that could have rivaled Revenge on N64
+Allen carter I Remember playing this Game For The First Time 15 Years Ago And It Blew My Fúckin' Mind lol, I Must Of Played It Several hours Non Stop, This Was Also At A Time WWF Attitude And Warzone We're Still Newish And PS2 Was On The Cards Of Release So Graphic Wise It Was Awesome.

Man I remember when Mayhem came out. I was a kid and I marked out so tough when I saw you could go into the crowd and backstage it was the greatest thing ever at the time. Those were the days. There will never be a time like the 90s when WCW and WWF were both on. 95 96 97 98 were the best years ever
T-Rex arms and short stubby legs. Man WCW games really fell apart after THQ went to WWF.
Not to mention the last good wwe game was 2k19 and the best wwe/f game ever is shut your mouth

Actually playing right now on "Hard Difficulty" as Sting. Unlocked Chris Jericho, Jimmy Hart, Rick Steiner, and Scott Hall for the first time in my life. Just keep running attacks going, and using the Scorpion Death Lock, and the other submission maneuver while the opponent is laying on this stomach. As far as "Run-Ins" take the fight to the backstage area, and then leave the backstage area, or immediately throw him out of the ring. Good luck grappling though.

Hall and Jericho were unlocked on mine by default idk if I had a later version or what. But I never played the season mode only did exhibit matches so idk why they were in mine straight out of the package. There's also a single cheat code you can use to unlock all wrestlers,the. When you save it(at least on ps1) all unlocked wrestlers would be saved
Yes it is 2020 and I am still playing this game. Anyone know why when entering the cheat code to unlock All characters makes Stevie Ray a little boy?
Some of the cheat codes for this game allow you to play as the what I think are most likely the developers of the game and their family

God The PS1 era of wrestling games was fucking horrendous N64 and PS2 had the best ones.

I didnt beat it to get Woldpac Sting. I just chose sting on ome controller and then again on the next and then backed out to where 1 player chooses and then i had it. I think, if i could remember properly, its been a long long time since i played this game lmao

I have a question about unlocking Chris Jericho? I know that your supposed to fight in all of the backstage areas but I was wondering how it worked like when you go backstage can you go from on backstage area to another or can you only go to 1 backstage area for each match also is the backstage area that you end up fighting in randomly selected by the game? The reason I ask is because I did a quest for the best play through on easy difficulty and I went and fought backstage for every match throughout the whole quest and it didn’t give me all 13 backstage areas so I was wondering if it was randomly selected by the game to the point that you have to play quest for the best over and over again and I was wondering if the difficulty had and affect on what backstage area you fight in at all (Easy, Medium, Hard) I’m sorry for asking so many questions but there’s just a lot to think about and consider
