What I love about psychic force is that it was during a time when fighting games tried to be different from its competitors. I used to love how unique and different each one tried to be like Bushido Blade, Bloody Roar, Rival Schools, Ehrgeiz, Evil Zone, Destrega, Battle Arena Toshiden and Tobal no1. Yes some maybe similar games to street fighter and Tekken, but they all have different mechanics that makes them different. I felt like most fighting games lack the originally nowadays because it’s all about combos and supers and not trying to be different.
Hello. I'm thrilled to see your introductory video. I am a native Japanese and can only understand Japanese. This comment is Google Translate. So, your narration will be translated by Google Translate at the same time. There are many games that haven't been released due to different countries, but the games you're introducing are just played by daughters and sons. I wasn't doing much of the housework, but now that I'm with my partner, I'm starting to think about playing a lot of the games left by the kids. Thanks to you. Japanese TH-cam and blogs were biased towards Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy, which made me annoyed by action lovers like me. My best game is Super Metroid from Super Nintendo. I'm trying sequence breaks and reverse boss defeat. I never get tired of this game. Also, thank you for introducing me to a racing game that runs through my hometown of Yokohama. My partner bought one after another for kids because the game could be one of the tools for communication with friends. Or there are games that you can't play in different regions, but all the games you've introduced in this video and in other videos are fascinating, so I ordered some from Amazon Japan. thank you.
IM SO HAPPY YOU PUT CRISIS BEAT I USED TO PLAY THIS WHIT MY MOM ALMOST EVERYDAY, ITS A OK GAME BUT ITS SO MEMORABLE TO ME GOOD JOB, YOU HAVE A FAN FROM RIO DE JANEIRO❤️❤️❤️
I have these huge prints of the artwork for psychic force and psychic force 2012 and the artbook. I really enjoyed Psychic force in the early days of anime styled games that actually kept their anime style. See westernization of game covers like megaman.
Your videos are just the best!! I always get pumped when I see one of your new videos show up in my feed. Many times I’ll rewatch a few of the older ones before I go gane hunting so I have some new games to look for. Thanks for all the hard work my friend.
Great video! I loved Psychic Force, especially Zuntata's great musical score. PS1 had an insane amount of unsung gems. I'd also recommend Ehrgeiz and Tobal No. 1 for fighters, and Elemental Gearbolt and Project Horned Owl for shooters. Also gotta check out Trap Gunner, which is a ton of fun, especially two player.
Great vid 👌. I really enjoyed Ronin blade. Definitely frustrating to begin with but once you get the hang of it it's alot of fun. Theres definitely alot of great forgotten games for PS1. The Unholy War, Syndicate War's, Deathtrap dungeon, Exhumed and Men in Black the Series Crackdown all spring to mind. None are perfect but all definitely worth a play.......love the ps1!
Another great vid! Thank you for reminding me Destrega and Crisis Beat. Never finished them but I might get back to them because of this vid. :) Also saw the translation of Racing Lagoon which is a really great Iniatial D alternative.
@@jayt2917 Eh, I disagree with not being a great game. It's a game that doesnt take itself seriously and its fun to play. But yeah, Alundra 1 its a great game. You cannot compare them since they play very differently. Alundra 2 wasn't eve supposed to be an alundra game, the developers just slapped the title in there. But to each their own.
@@Elmaku92 to each their own of course . But you are also in the minority here . Many gamers praise the first game . Alundra 2 was a huge downgrade and a disappointment . I played the game a little bit its not even that fun lol .
Racing Lagoon, that's gonna be an automatic subscription from me dawg. It just got patched too I can finally understand what's going on after over 20 years lol This channel is amazing, I still play a lot of the PS1 games you have featured in your videos. Nice to see someone acknowledging them, PS1 was next level (pun intended). Later! ^_^
Great video as always! Mobile light force is a quick and dirty hack job of the first Gunbird title, removing content. The second MLF is oddly a port of the first Shikigami no shiro title.
I owned Robin Blade as a kid, but it's the Japanese version, Soul fo the Samurai. Starting stages are definitely annoying, but when I got used to it, it's a lot of fun! So much so that I powered through and successfully finished the game without knowing Japanese 😅
Brave fencer Musashi is an underrated gem. My only complaints are that it is too short and there are certain platforms where you can fall through the floor when you get near the edge.
Whoever was responsible for the horrific Westernization of the phenomenal *Gunbird* into _Mobile Light Force_ - including removing all the in-game story and "that cover" - deserves to be drug out into the middle of an airport runway and repeatedly run-over by landing & taking-off planes.
Love watching your videos. I may have missed some but I would love to see a video of games you are partial to even though they might not be good/popular. I have a special spot for fantastic four lol and star wars masters of Teras kasi.
Another great video. Brave Fencer Musashi is fantastic and deserves a quality remake, the camera could use some help lol. Mobile Light force as well is a fun shooter with a terrible cover, like Phalanx. Had the PS2 version as well which is very similar. Hopefully The Unholy War will make part 4!
Racing Lagoon is one of the best RPG I have ever played, the music, the gameplay and the story make it one of the best games in the console. It is mind blowing how and why this was not ported to the west, considering it was Square. Thanks for sharing this amazing list, please continue being cool and awesome!
great vid but some are missing here. dragon valor area 56 shining force (i think tge one where you traverse map and collect elemental sword) chocobo racing dino crisis
You need to put Evil Zone on your list someday. Its a great PSOne game. Or maybe you have already put it on your previous video?? 😆 Anyway, keep the good work. 👍
my top forgotten and top underated and one of the most graphically impressive games of the ps1 would be TOMBA! a lot of people had it back in the day but no one played it really far because how hard it was at times and had you think outside of the box. so people gave up on it early. too bad
@That Video Games Show if you love fighter games try out Evil Zone sometime, my personal favorite since I was a kid. Also if you like first person shooters check out Shadow Master.
I was able to find granstream saga again after searching for it I like it myself because it's fun and challenging to the mind it maybe retro in today's standards but I think it's one of many charm,s about it at least to me anyway🤔☀️
Crisis Beat is a little cumbersome, but like you say, it's still fun to play, it says it was released in 2008 in the video, I believe it's a typo for 1998. Racing Lagoon is probably one of the most impressive PS1 games graphically, to me, it surpasses even Gran Turismo 2 in that category, but I find it odd the collisions are basically non-existent, your car collide against guardrails, other cars, etc, but there's no physics, comparing this aspect with Driver and Driver 2, it's night and day. I didn't know Soul of the Samurai was called Ronin Blade in PAL territories, I still had a Saturn when my friend played this and other games like Tenchu, good times.
Release date for Crisis Beat caught me off guard lol but in the end, it was just a typo :( All of these look great, I wish I had some of them as a kid, I'd most surely have a blast playing them!
Have you covered the game Silouette Mirage on your channel? If not i'd strongly recommend it! Game released on Dec 31 1999 to almost no fanfare and is one of Treasure's last releases! Soundtrack is bitchin and the game is tons of fun
Racing Lagoon translation? I've been waiting for that for YEARS ! ! !

Destrega was one of my favorite games growing up. The memories...
YES! Destrega is SO slept on!!
I did not know Mobile Light Force had a PS1 port! It is also known as a series called Gunbird with Gunbird 2 being my favorite.
Uhh, I played Gunbird 1 & 2 on the PS2, such fun games. The characters were full of personality and the bosses so unique!
That's how I've always known it :-)

What a strong video! I remember ads for Psychic Force! Never played it. What a great birthday present from my favorite content creator!
