What I love about psychic force is that it was during a time when fighting games tried to be different from its competitors. I used to love how unique and different each one tried to be like Bushido Blade, Bloody Roar, Rival Schools, Ehrgeiz, Evil Zone, Destrega, Battle Arena Toshiden and Tobal no1. Yes some maybe similar games to street fighter and Tekken, but they all have different mechanics that makes them different. I felt like most fighting games lack the originally nowadays because it’s all about combos and supers and not trying to be different.
Racing Lagoon translation? I've been waiting for that for YEARS ! ! !
I have these huge prints of the artwork for psychic force and psychic force 2012 and the artbook. I really enjoyed Psychic force in the early days of anime styled games that actually kept their anime style. See westernization of game covers like megaman.

I could never forget Brave Fencer Musashi, especially Topo's Dance or Die level; the music is truly catchy and while tricky, is fun to perform!
I remember the first time I tried Brave Fencer Musashi on a demo disc and it was amazing. I loved Vagrant Story as well.
It’s such a solid game, oh man love some Vagrant Story as well!

Great vid 👌. I really enjoyed Ronin blade. Definitely frustrating to begin with but once you get the hang of it it's alot of fun. Theres definitely alot of great forgotten games for PS1. The Unholy War, Syndicate War's, Deathtrap dungeon, Exhumed and Men in Black the Series Crackdown all spring to mind. None are perfect but all definitely worth a play.......love the ps1!

Man I never heard anybody talk about Alundra 2. I feel like that game is forgotten.
Because the game is not that great . Compare to the first game lol . Thats why people dont talk about it much . Alundra 1 was a masterpiece tho
@@jayt2917 Eh, I disagree with not being a great game. It's a game that doesnt take itself seriously and its fun to play. But yeah, Alundra 1 its a great game. You cannot compare them since they play very differently. Alundra 2 wasn't eve supposed to be an alundra game, the developers just slapped the title in there. But to each their own.
@@Elmaku92 to each their own of course . But you are also in the minority here . Many gamers praise the first game . Alundra 2 was a huge downgrade and a disappointment . I played the game a little bit its not even that fun lol .

PSYCHIC FORCE !!! I liked the sequel on the dreamcast more due to better graphics and speed. But Psychic force is anime in the 90s.

Never heard of Racing Lagoon so I'll give it a shot. I'd gone fully Dreamcast by 1999 though.

Brave fencer Musashi is an underrated gem. My only complaints are that it is too short and there are certain platforms where you can fall through the floor when you get near the edge.
I owned Robin Blade as a kid, but it's the Japanese version, Soul fo the Samurai. Starting stages are definitely annoying, but when I got used to it, it's a lot of fun! So much so that I powered through and successfully finished the game without knowing Japanese 😅

@@moomoocupcakes looks like mobile light force and Gunbird have both a pal release here in Europe, Mlf on ps1 and gunbird on ps2

Great video as always! Mobile light force is a quick and dirty hack job of the first Gunbird title, removing content. The second MLF is oddly a port of the first Shikigami no shiro title.
Racing Lagoon, that's gonna be an automatic subscription from me dawg. It just got patched too I can finally understand what's going on after over 20 years lol This channel is amazing, I still play a lot of the PS1 games you have featured in your videos. Psychic Force was so much damn fun. It reminds me of Destrega, another criminally underrated PS1 title.

my top forgotten and top underated and one of the most graphically impressive games of the ps1 would be TOMBA! a lot of people had it back in the day but no one played it really far because how hard it was at times and had you think outside of the box. so people gave up on it early. too bad

I did not know Mobile Light Force had a PS1 port! It is also known as a series called Gunbird with Gunbird 2 being my favorite.
Uhh, I played Gunbird 1 & 2 on the PS2, such fun games. The characters were full of personality and the bosses so unique!

Mobile Light Force or Gunbird as I know it and it's sequel can be bought on Steam and they're a blast to play.
I love Gunb... sorry, Mobile Light Force. The sequel on Dreamcast took it to the next level though. Crisis Beat looks so similar to Dynamite Cop! :O
Another great video. Brave Fencer Musashi is fantastic and deserves a quality remake, the camera could use some help lol. Mobile Light force as well is a fun shooter with a terrible cover, like Phalanx. Had the PS2 version as well which is very similar.
Hopefully The Unholy War will make part 4!

In Mobile Light Force you can charge your attack like in Megaman series. It's really help to fight bosses when you out of bombs.
You need to put Evil Zone on your list someday. Its a great PSOne game. Or maybe you have already put it on your previous video?? 😆 Anyway, keep the good work. 👍

I was able to find granstream saga again after searching for it I like it myself because it's fun and challenging to the mind it maybe retro in today's standards but I think it's one of many charm,s about it at least to me anyway🤔☀️
@That Video Games Show if you love fighter games try out Evil Zone sometime, my personal favorite since I was a kid. Also if you like first person shooters check out Shadow Master.

Psychic Force feels like X-Force, which is good.
Crisis Beat is a little cumbersome, but like you say, it's still fun to play, it says it was released in 2008 in the video, I believe it's a typo for 1998. Racing Lagoon is probably one of the most impressive PS1 games graphically, to me, it surpasses even Gran Turismo 2 in that category, but I find it odd the collisions are basically non-existent, your car collide against guardrails, other cars, etc, but there's no physics, comparing this aspect with Driver and Driver 2, it's night and day. I didn't know Soul of the Samurai was called Ronin Blade in PAL territories, I still had a Saturn when my friend played this and other games like Tenchu, good times.

Have you covered the game Silouette Mirage on your channel? If not i'd strongly recommend it! Game released on Dec 31 1999 to almost no fanfare and is one of Treasure's last releases! Soundtrack is bitchin and the game is tons of fun

Whoever was responsible for the horrific Westernization of the phenomenal *Gunbird* into _Mobile Light Force_ - including removing all the in-game story and "that cover" - deserves to be drug out into the middle of an airport runway and repeatedly run-over by landing & taking-off planes.
Musashi from ps1 is better than the musashi from ps2
I honestly can’t fathom at why western companies thought that a game having the Japanese box art would stop it from selling its so fucking stupid if anything if I saw light force in a shop I’d avoid it because it looks so cheesy and budget.
Time stamps or keep the name of the games on the screen.
i dont want to be that hm whiny bitching guy, but again Ronin Blade, is the EU name of the game, Soul of the Samurai is NA,
I kinda try to get NA games together, its not a cheaper way, but 60fps in many titles is preferable for me then 50 (some i know can be switched in EU versions).
Anyway, i try to search Ronin Blade and it comes up, but in EU and the name in NA is Sould of the Samurai, i mean i said it once, but ill say it again, would be nice to include
the different name of the same game, if there is a game like that. Some games didnt even released in EU, some in NA, but sometimes if both did they did get a diff. name. And this continued on in PS2 era as well and i think its BS, calling the same game with diff, names, ridiculous. But again would be amazing if u could do it in ur videos, to get at least wiht a diff. font or diff. color or whatever the name of the game in other regions, especially if its NA & EU are concerned. Or at least mentioning it, like u did with that Japanese only game in this video.
Probably many dont give a shit, probably u dont give either, but i think it would really benefit others like me. I can search for answers, i can find out the truth, but would be much more comfortable
if it was present in the video, im no gonna lie, im lazy :). But again, its up to u. Can give u only suggestions. Otherwise great video, especially cause 2 new games to get for myself, hopefully good ones, look that way.
