That's why I watch these. Surrounded by people who would happily hang me from a tree in a place that seems at the epicenter of mass insanity. Mental health is a god damn luxury anymore.
OMG! Turned out fantastic. I remember my grandmother making me a tea with just immature nettle leaves. She had a natural cure for whatever caused you any problems. Excellent video. Veronika didn't look very happy slicing those nettles. Thank you for posting. 👍👍👍
Assuming this cutter was used for occasional culinary purposes, finding lead paint was not good. 😬 It's a pleasure to watch something be brought back to life like this. A job well done.
I was thinking the exact same thing: Lead paint on a food grade product? You have to wonder how many people were exposed to lead while that device was in service. Nonetheless, very well done restoration.
Looking at the description it also said it was used to chop manure into manageable size pieces for fuel. If that's the case then they wouldn't worry about the paint.
Another beautiful restoration! I think that Veronica is happier in the kitchen than chopping nettles! I don't blame her! Best wishes to my favorite restorers!
As fantastic as this turned out, I have to ask: Did anyone else read the title and think “why would anyone need to cut nettles?” I found my answer by reading the description btw! Great job!!! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Veronika did not look very happy chopping up nettles but I still enjoyed watching your restoration. I've never seen a machine like this, I'm sure there is something similar in my country but, although close to farmland and wildlife I'm not close with a farmer. Wonderful restoration Radek, buy Veronika some flowers - she looks a bit upset. Nick
Two things I get from this: If you are self-taught you are both a very good teacher as well as student; I need to discover the use for nettles, I always thought them to be a nuisance Good Job! Thanks.
Another wonderful restoration! I was so so happy when you kept the wooden bass instead of tossing it simply because it had some cracks and breaks in it. I wish more people would try to do that. And when you can't save it Or the piece is missing you'll always do a great job of creating something new like the handle for this.
Thank you for the recognition. Since the machine will be part of my collection of antiques and will not be used, I try to use as many original parts as possible. Thank you colleague :) Radek
Very nice job !! I love the green ....glad to see all theses wonderful old devices get a new life under your hands ....you do a wonderful job !! 👍👍👍And it works very well !!
Excellent. Like the power of your finger with the video editing tricks! Not seen a cutter of that size before, seen larger versions for chopping hay, straw etc. Great restoration.
Excelente trabajo!
great work on the restoration and video. I would like to see more of the finished product in use showing how all the fine detail work you did fits together to make it work. Thanks for sharing.

I never seen this, very interesting. Great job you guys doing. God bless you both. Thanks for all those videos i like them all. Big hug for both of you.
That was awesome! Couldn't figure out why you kept the wood, until I saw the repair, that's some cool glue (?, resin, what ever), pretty dang impressive stuff. Thanks so much for posting!
Keep fixing these old hand operated machines, we're going to need them when everything falls apart and the power goes out.
It already is in Australia. They shut down too many coal power plants and we have running blackouts because renewables don't give us enough.
Glad to know I'm not the only one who thinks like that lol
We might need some hand operated politicians too!
Yes we will be ready :)
@@DaleDix Did no one tell the government that they need to get sufficient renewables in place before they shut the old power plants down?

Total therapy. Love your channel and fascinated by these old machines
How thoughtful of you to get Veronica a machine to make nettle soup with! I can’t wait for her recipe on the Tube.
Yes, I won't get burned Lol. I don't know the recipe, Veronica hasn't prepared food from nettles yet :) Radek
Very good restoration 👍👍👍Thanks for sharing
I thank you :)
People were very smart in those days to make all these valuable tools and gadgets to live by. I love watching your videos!♥️
I agree Donna, thank you
Will buy my wife one of these machines as a wedding present. Thank you.
Well, I don't know if she will be excited. Lol
You're the only restorer I have seen on TH-cam who actively tests for lead.
Thank you :)
Nice job looks amazing and good job to your wife for doing the hard work lol
Lol, Thanks Derrrick :)
OMG! Turned out fantastic. I remember my grandmother making me a tea with just immature nettle leaves. She had a natural cure for whatever caused you any problems. Excellent video. Veronika didn't look very happy slicing those nettles. Thank you for posting. 👍👍👍
(Hide the pain Veronica, as the stinging nettles fall all over her arm) 😅
You must wear gloves and long sleeve shirt as they say the nettles have a sting when touched and must never be eaten rare!
:))
Hello from a rainy England.. watching this while having a beer and waiting for a takeaway.. day off tomorrow too so I’m pretty buzzing 👍

Lead used to pipe water directly to most kitchen sinks
@@elizabethkizzar5489 Burning dung is not lethal.
At the time the cutter was made, all they had was lead paint and did not know of the harmful effects of lead in paint that we now know of!

As fantastic as this turned out, I have to ask:

I found my answer by reading the description btw! Great job!!! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Nettles are edible and can be used as replacement for spinach for example.
not only are nettles edible they can be used to make beer instead of hops
I wondered this very thing. lol
My grandmother in Hungary used a very similar device. She fed the ducks with cut nettles, mixed with coarse-ground corn
As a kid I did it every summer with exactly the same tool, maybe 200kg for a week, for pigs :-)
The lucky one who got to operate that machine, got to LOVE that look on her face. It was Pure joy. 😾
Lol, thanks :)
Hello Radek beautiful restoration professionally restored well done my friend see you at the next restoration

Thanks to Nick, a few unsuccessful shots of Veronica apparently exhausted her to smile. In addition, it was terribly hot for us to work outside. Radek
