I've been trying to get into this pose for quite some time but couldn't really get the hang of it. I finally managed to do it with your excellent instruction! Thank you, Cathy!
Out of all the instructional videos on "how to do a L-Pose, yours is the best! And although it might be out of my reach at the moment, your video taught me a few technique to make it less challenging and to keep practicing. Namaste ❤
Will be trying this. I can get not exactly this 90 degree but perhaps 100 or 120. So Will try harder. Really want to finally get to the hand stand. Thank you so much for wonderful crystal clear instructions.
If this is the gateway to handstand, I'm stuck! I've been working on this about 4 times per week for 16 months, but I've made no perceptible progress. I can't get my wrists, shoulders, and hips aligned, even when standing upright. And I certainly can't bend 90 degrees at the waist with straight legs. Your downward facing dog at 3:18 makes my jaw drop. I've been working calves, hamstrings, and shoulders with active and passive stretching plus foam rolling (ouch!), but again, no perceptible progress in more than a year. Any suggestions for those of us who are not, and may never be, flexible?
sounds like you need someone to spot you? It's tough for me to know without seeing you. Are you on IG? You can DM me a home video of what you're doing and I can give you tips. @cathymadeoyoga

Great tips. This has greatly helped me understand how to stabilize in this posture. Still working towards handstand.

Great! Thanks to this video, I've done L-pose at first try!

Yay! So glad it helped
Great tip on the gaze! That's why I always slide out from the L shape🤣
I'm so happy that tip helped!!
Amazing tutorial. Thanks so much as I've done many L shaped handstands, but is always great to re-educate oneself. 🙏
Indeed! Thanks for watching🫶🏽🙌🏼
It forces me to be so more aligned than whenever i am handstanding, that Infeel immediatelynthe rhomboids activated so hard. Underrated exercice.
Excellent video!
