I’ve been watching your videos for a long. I appreciate your straight forward common sense advice. I’m 73. People always made fun of me for doing so much preventative stuff to my skin back in my 20s but I am now 43 and when I say my age the first thing people do is literally laugh because they think it's a joke. When they realize there is no joking they don't even really know what else to say.
If that’s you in your photo, you look great. On the other hand, I’ve done _nothing_ to prevent aging in my face, I’m 31 and bartenders are still suspicious AF when I walk in, even after I hand over my ID lol
It’s not about number it’s about whether u went through menopause or not yet. 43 is nothing these days. Wait until you go through menopause. That’s when things change not before
I have always taken good care of my skin, every weekend, egg yoke, cream of wheat and vitamin e for face mask, ageing was not a concern at 40. I do credit my good Genes as well
Damn he’s good. His advice and reasoning is on point. I am very happy to say I listened to my intuition and did my hormone tests every 6 months to a year. And I was also considering dexa scan - but instead increased my weight lifting sessions, and working on my diet to “clean up”,and then I can just do a scan to check my progress. Everything he says here is pure gold. He deserves millions of followers. Im saving this video to share with all my friends. Everything he’s talking about took me long time to hunt down on the internet over the years - and he’s literally breaking it all down here.
Thank you for the advice! Personally I started doing guasha and face yoga exercises at 37. When I got my new drivers license photo on my 40th birthday I was shocked at how much nicer my face shape was compared to my old photo. I have always used high quality products on my face even in my teens so these additions were on top of a good regime as suggested here.
@@balbybalby2500 Hi! I like the channel The Moments on here, she has both guasha and face yoga routines along with facial massage too. Hope it works for you too!
"Consistant" has made all the difference. I stopped botox, after 15 years, its no longer needed because of my, now, consistant care, using your guidance. Thank you, is not enough!
Thanks doc. Genetics also plays great role. M 38 mother of two but no one believes I have children. They guess my age between 25-30… it’s a blessing to me..
I have started taking MK-7 following Dr. Ranjani's advice in one of his videos. I was resigned to the facial bone loss, and I never thought there might be ways to slow it down before I watched his videos. I learned another great idea from this video: Sculptra on the upper face can slow the sagging! That's brilliant! Being 44 and passing as someone in her 20s made the idea of fillers less appealing to me. But now I am thinking of getting preventive Sculptra. Thank you so much for this video!
Fillers in the lip makes the face look older to me. It draws more attention to the fact that you are fighting getting older. It's like a woman wearing glittery eyeshadow. It emphasizes lines.
@@lisacup6876 I do 1 ml in my lips once in 2-3 years. It looks very natural and Noone can say that I have a filler. Because I don't create any additional volume. I just substitute the lost volume. Also who is doing it is veeery important
I just did 1 ml overall of HA filler called Neauvia intense #28 with very "firm" structure into my cheeks. I am overwhelmed with the lifting result. But I found a good doctor. And he did the same brand but #26 - 0.4ml into my lips ("Russian lips" technique). The other 0.6ml he redistributed in nasolabial and chin. Could be a good upgrade for 40+ ppl in my opinion, but obviously each one decides for themselves
Oh wow!I have a lisping problem and the first time round I was so busy concentrating on the way u speak and the entire topic totally flew off me..going through your vid a second time to actually get through the context, great one at that! You,sir are an eloquent speaker with very precise pronunciations so thank u!
I’m turning 39 and I am often mistaken to be 22. I wear sunscreen everyday even when I’m at home. My gray hair though is now peeping through. Aging is inevitable. Just look great for your age.
Cope. Literally have never seen a 39 year old look 22 but every woman on the internet somehow claims it. Also sunscreen is highly toxic to the skin. If you have gray hair showing you're obviously going to have other signs of aging in the skin, breast, hairline, etc. Typically grays aren't the first visible sign of aging.
I'm just getting grey bits in my dark hair and no deep lines, just fine around the eyes from laughing too much, lol? A bit of droopiness around the eyelids and jawline. I'm 54 and my mammy and daddy are in their seventies. They are still quite dark haired and have a fairly healthy lifestyle , mainly they have each other and don't frown too much despite everything.
@@myinmyin1997 Laughing is a Good medicine. It gives you crinkles around the eyes and all that. I would rather have that than deep frown lines on my forehead. Best wishes.
Been following you for over 3 years now and LOVE all your advice. I turn 50 next month and ppl find out my true age they are floored. They say I don't look a day over 30. I attribute it all to good genes, great skincare started as a teen, quality vitamins, good supplements like collagen and a proper diet with moderate exercise. I've never had any procedures or botox and I am def not opposed to such when the time comes. I loved your video on silica and the bamboo shoots. I have to try that now-lol. We all want to look as beautiful as possible at every age but the key is not to over do it. No one likes the plastic look.

Just curious since I've never had it done & thinking about it. You say you love it & can't wait to see results. May I ask what do you love about it if you do not see results yet?
@@sam-hs3zw The water in the Sculptra (PLLA) mimics volume temporarily which last 3-7 days roughly & during that time it provides a good glimpse of what the volume will look like in about 3-6 months. The water gets absorbed & then you’re back to baseline UNTIL the collagen starts building. So it’s not instant gratification like fillers but lasts a lot longer & looks very natural since it’s YOUR collagen producing the results. It’s been FDA approved since 2009 & has MANY happy users. 😊 I’ll probably get a vial every 2-3 years. Right now have had 2 vials but sure I’ll need at least 3 if not 4 initially which would be injected in next 3 mos. (I think) depending on what my injector decides is best.

Thanks for the great advice. The hormone test is really important at 40. I was having dry mouth for awhile, my dentist told me it could be a hormonal imbalance and it was.
Anyone know how you get a hormone test in the uk? Recently had full bloods done but nurse said they don’t test for peri/menopause because they assume over 40s are in it anyway lol
Hah, my dentist just told me to chew gum or get these special theramints to mask the dry mouth. No route cause analysis. Just cover the symptoms and go away.

I started really really working on my skin when i turned 60. At 40 there was no way I could afford anything I'm doing now. I quit smoking. And take supplements and I get all the tests. I had a calcium scan and my dr. Though I was crazy. I had bone tests since my 40s and have osteoporosis, I joined osteoporosis, since I won't take meds. I'm surprised you talked about being at your 70s and almost dead
I ❤ that you approach beauty full spectrum, which includes prevention and treating our body as a whole. Our health is THE GREATEST gift we are given. We need to honor and respect it. Thank you Doc for all you do to educate. ❤
“At 65 you’re almost dead.”😳60 yo me watching this after a fitness class + 3 mile hike and 50-hr work week. Blessed with good genetics, I look 45…but highly recommended HRT for those who can tolerate it. Life changing. And don’t smoke!🙏🏼
‘’At 65 your almost dead” cracked me up but it’s so true about the DEXa scan. 65 is at least 15 years past any possibility of preventing bone loss. It’s ridiculous. DEXa scan is only about $100 so ladies, buy it yourself at 50. If you are losing bone then take the results to your doctor and insurance will have to pay for hormone replacement therapy. After they refer you to an endocrinologist…..
Thank you for your precious advice, Dr. Rajani, you are truly a great Doctor and friend for all women! ❤ And yes you are right how such powerful, rich nations, can't take care of their citizens.
If you added ‘get on the blood type diet’ by Dr D’Adamo this would have been the perfect advice. Feed the body- get rid of inflammatory foods-remove gluten-
Had a baby at 38, and 2 years later, at almost 40, I am finally barely starting to get REM sleep regularly again. She is a contact sleeper from day 1 and there was a time I forgot my name and felt "time jumps" in the day because I was so tired. I feel like I aged 10 years in 2 without sleep. Hopefully I can reverse the damage in the comimg few years with good sleep. 😅 Thanks Dr Rajani!!
Genetics takes up about 80%, the rest are wearing sun protection as long as u go out, healthy low-carb and almost none sugar diet, regular physical activities especially heavy weight lifeting.
Salma Hayek says we should never wash our faces in the morning, cos cleansing destroys everything our skin produces during the night to keep itself ypung healthy. Apparently thats her way to look young
Prob if your pillow case is super clean and if you live in a relatively cooler climate. In warmer climates your face is covered in oil/,grime/sweat though those hours
I just use water myself in the am but do use a hydrating toner, serum and moisturizer. Btw, Salma has had a lot of work done, even before she made it in films.
Never worked for me, every time I try I break out like crazy even though I'm a back sleeper and change my (silk/satin) pillowcase every other day. I think it's really subjective, my skin looks horrible when I do but maybe people with really dry skin could get away with it or even benefit from it.
Excellent information. I agree with everything except the 30 SPF. Those of us with lighter skin in my opinion need 50 spf. I also take NAC which supposedly helps with photo damage from sun. I guess the only way to tell is through 3D imaging. I've never had that done but with so much sun in teens i expect the results wouldn't be happy 🙃
I always looked much younger than my age. I was divorced, met a younger man and while with him for 4 years and the stress he caused me, aged me 10+ years in that 4 years. Minimize your stress. As well as the other things mentioned.

Very informative. Thanks. As for the diet for women in their 40s, eating adequate amounts of proteins and avoiding sugar that makes you look order and deteriorates brain function is essential. A combined extract of Ginkgo biloba and Bacopa monniera have been shown to produce positive effects on cognitive function and anti-anxiety, anti-fatigue, and memory-strengthening effects.
Great video. I just want to add my personal experience with 8years of SSRI. After I quit it, i have been insomnia and IBS and alot of other aide effects from it. The Spanish company Isdin makes an excellent SPF 50 tinted mineral sunscreen. It does not leave a white cast and is especially formulated to repair and prevent actinic damage. It also follows EU standards so it offers better UVA protection. It’s a bit more pricey, although not unreasonably so. I’ve been using it and it’s definitely worth it. The slight tint also gives my skin a nice glow, especially since I don’t wear any foundation or other such makeup.
Great information. I am happy that I already have implemented a lot of your recommendations. Thankful my Doctor is recommending a baseline bone scan now at the age of 45. At 65 "the horse is out of the gate".
40 is a great age for women... then soon perimenopause hits and ruins all that for a while. I've had some luck with 1000 grams of Evening Primrose twice a day. It's a minimal, but noticeable difference. I rarely get night sweats or hyperhydrosis any more, but I do still run hot. My PMS is diminished and my cramping and breast pain is gone. I used to get them very bad.

Ok, so you’re saying at the age of 64 it’s too late give it up? I’ve been on retin-a since I was 30 but had to stop because insurances found out it wasn’t just for acne, but discovered it slows down aging. I have been proactive about keeping my skin from aging. I only have very very fine lines at my eyes and a very small 11 between my eyebrows. Pretty much everything you’ve talked about I’ve been using for 34 years. I also think that you should start anti-aging prevention in your 20s. Thank you for keeping us all very informed about our skin. I really enjoy watching your channel.

I have been fortunate enough to be one of your patients, and I love your videos, and how thorough and informative they are. If I could afford to see you more often, I would.
Thanks so much!! I appreciate you reaching out and all of your support.
People always made fun of me for doing so much preventative stuff to my skin back in my 20s but I am now 43 and when I say my age the first thing people do is literally laugh because they think it's a joke. When they realize there is no joking they don't even really know what else to say.
Have you tried co2 lazer treatment?
My doctor recommend me 3 session microneedling and after co2 laser..What you think?
If that’s you in your photo, you look great. On the other hand, I’ve done _nothing_ to prevent aging in my face, I’m 31 and bartenders are still suspicious AF when I walk in, even after I hand over my ID lol
It’s not about number it’s about whether u went through menopause or not yet. 43 is nothing these days. Wait until you go through menopause. That’s when things change not before
You must be a very modest person and not self absorbed at all
I have always taken good care of my skin, every weekend, egg yoke, cream of wheat and vitamin e for face mask, ageing was not a concern at 40. I do credit my good Genes as well
Don’t you ever die ❤️Dr Rajani ,love from Australia 🇦🇺
Fraxel changed my skin! Improved my acne scars
The best advice: Don’t worry about it!!
I too have been doing gua sha for a few years and I think it’s helped
hi… who can you recommend for me to follow on youtube for face yoga? thanks a lot for sharing
Imi's Bigan Yoga is a very cheerful, uplifting person on TH-cam. She has lots of different routines and targeted routines.
@@balbybalby2500 Hi! I like the channel The Moments on here, she has both guasha and face yoga routines along with facial massage too. Hope it works for you too!
@@sarahrosen4985 Oooo I’ll check that out, thanks for the recommendation!
Oh wait/ a new cleanser?!? I can’t wait! Ella & I LOVE your products
Thank you so very much
I'm about to turn 40 myself so I'm definitely gonna take your advice. The beauty industry is overwhelming with too many products and options.
I agree
Also HA filler 1 ml into lips if volume lose - once in a couple of years
Fillers in the lip makes the face look older to me.
What is MK-7? I can't find it on his site. Thanks.
Glad it was helpful! I appreciate your kindness....charge on and ignore the lisp. I bet it adds greatly to your character
I’m turning 39 and I am often mistaken to be 22. I wear sunscreen everyday even when I’m at home. My gray hair though is now peeping through. Aging is inevitable. Just look great for your age.
Thanks for sharing!! You are so blessed. ENJOY
I am trying to come up with a mental image of 22 that is distinct from 21 or 23
I'm just getting grey bits in my dark hair and no deep lines, just fine around the eyes from laughing too much, lol?
No one likes the plastic look.
so good!

Just had my first Sculptra treatments & love it! Can’t wait to see results 3-6 months! (My very skilled injector knows you. 😊)
Thanks @kathyb.9712. I very much appreciate you taking the time to share. It helps all of us learn.

How did you fix it ?
Anyone know how you get a hormone test in the uk? Recently had full bloods done but nurse said they don’t test for peri/menopause because they assume over 40s are in it anyway lol
@@kkkkitmy friend paid privately to have hormone tests and to speak to a specialist
Hah, my dentist just told me to chew gum or get these special theramints to mask the dry mouth. No route cause analysis. Just cover the symptoms and go away.
Dr. Rajani, I really appreciate the fact that you cover overall health. A true doctor. Thanks.

I clean my face every night, I do sleep with dogs, I use red light therapy, I use retinol, I use sunscreen, i physically do all the rest you mentioned and I am 76.
I've done Botox once and hated it! And I'm glad that I hated it . I only do biostimulators which is definitely worth it !

Love this!!!! Keep charging
Hey, if you can make it at 65 alive, you did well.
Ya me too, I'm half dead too. Lifting weights, Restoring my car, and other things half dead women usually do....lol jk

If you added ‘get on the blood type diet’ by Dr D’Adamo this would have been the perfect advice.
Feed the body- get rid of inflammatory foods-remove gluten-
Great advice! You are an honorable doctor for shedding light on these tests and why they are important
Im in the preventative plan, bought these. Thank you!
I just use water on my face in the morning but I am a back sleeper
😂 disgusting!
Never worked for me, every time I try I break out like crazy even though I'm a back sleeper and change my (silk/satin) pillowcase every other day.
I think it's really subjective, my skin looks horrible when I do but maybe people with really dry skin could get away with it or even benefit from it.
I really appreciate how dr. Anil keeps cost in mind . It comes across as humple , caring normal individual. You are very blessed where he is there,
It's my pleasure
Thank You, great tips Dr. Rajani. I would love to know what Mario Lopez is doing to look so young🙂
How often and at what dose do you take nac?
Thank 💕 you for working 💪 so hard to educate your community ❤❤❤!

There is no chronological age. Skin age is best. Some at 60 look 50...or 40. But I use age in my videos as it's most understandable for people
19:32 For maintaining good bone structure, it’s important to have all 32 teeth in their place in excellent condition. If someone’s face changed a lot, they must have lost several teeth.
And another important factor that influences badly the mature face is that how well TMJ and the masseter muscles are.
32? I only have 24. A lot of them were pulled out by the dentist when I was kid 😢
@@The_Voice_of_Reason_is_here You are not the only one…It’s for this reason many people can not maintain good facial bone structure after 40-50.
Not necessarily. If you take out your wisdom teeth you won’t have 32 teeth and still look good.
