    I am 75 and my doctors tell me I look 45. I shaved my face since age 15. Began shaving my neck since watching YOUR videos! I only began using sunscreen 30 at age 62 when I moved to Singapore. Then six years ago I moved to Thailand and stopped using sunscreens until two weeks ago due to your channel! I am olive tone skin that is oily still but never had a pimple because I wash my face using baking soda!
    I know... but it does not dry out MY skin. I began using The Ordinary hyaluronic acid two years ago and it plumps my nasolabial lines, i added vit C and niacinamide recently due to you! I just added The Ordinary retinoid 2%. Now, also due to you, I will add a bioidentical estrogen to help with collagen. I eat a tsp of bovine gelatin in my oatmeal with goji berries daily. My nails are strong. I have no jowls YET! Maybe it is my exercise routine with heavy weights, circuit training, and cardio EVERY DAY for more than 40 years. I am 153cm and 41 kg.
    That is about 5' tall and 91 lbs. I was on HRT from 50-67 and now regret stopping because within six months of stopping, my arms and legs' skin became crepey. I am considering going back on Prempro or similar med. You are a gift to all of us! Thank you!

    Absolutely correct on testing. As a nurse working at an integrative medicine office where we focus on hormomes, we check the following for all...this is a comprehensive and thorough list--- for thyroid: TSH, free T4, free T3, reverse T3, and thyroid antibodies. Estrogen, progesterone and free and total testosterone. DHEA, Cortisol, and high sensitivity C-reactive protein. Prostate specific antigen for men. A1c, fasting insulin, and complete metabolic panel. Complete blood count. Fasting lipid panel. Vitamin B12, Vitamin D, and Magnesium. FSH, LH, and Prolactin. We do add other things as needed...rheumatoid factors, food sensitivity testing, candida...tons more but the list above is our standard for all our patients.

      @healthcoachnursingnessa, thanks for this. =). Would you say that hair loss is due to DHEA being too high? I learned that my DHEA is very high.

    • @healthcoachnursingnessa
      @healthcoachnursingnessa 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      @thehealthinsight4587 I would look into checking your testosterone because DHEA is a precursor to making testosterone. If your DHEA is high, it's possible your testosterone is on the higher end as well. Hair loss can be So many things. Stress truly can cause it. Also illness. Typically, if you were ill a few months prior to new severe hair loss, it could have been from the illness. Hypothyroid is also a big cause of hair loss or hair thinning. Hormone deficiencies in estrogen or progesterone as well. The hair cycle consists of resting and shedding phases. Sometimes people go thru a shedding phase that consists of a good chunk of their hair and mistake that for hair loss. Hope these tid bits help.

      ‘’At 65 your almost dead” cracked me up but it’s so true about the DEXa scan. 65 is at least 15 years past any possibility of preventing bone loss. It’s ridiculous. DEXa scan is only about $100 so ladies, buy it yourself at 50. If you are losing bone then take the results to your doctor and insurance will have to pay for hormone replacement therapy. After they refer you to an endocrinologist…..

    I’ve been watching your videos for a long. I appreciate your straight forward common sense advice. I’m 73. I use a regimen of bioidentical HRT with the help of my primary care physician and a compounding pharmacist. It’s been life changing for me. I also use a mixture of hyaluronic acid and small amount of estrogen twice a week on areas of my cheeks that are thickened, dry, and don’t slough as they should. The change in my skin has been amazing. The texture is softer and smoother. The dark areas are becoming lighter. This isn’t for everyone, I know. Prior to starting this my physician and I had a long discussion about possible side affects. I’m a quality or quantity girl. We did all of the labs you recommended and as a team my physician, my pharmacist, and I work together to make a formula that works for me, tweaking it if necessary. Another benefit is the improvement I’ve had in urinary incontinence.

      Cope. Literally have never seen a 39 year old look 22 but every woman on the internet somehow claims it. Also sunscreen is highly toxic to the skin. If you have gray hair showing you're obviously going to have other signs of aging in the skin, breast, hairline, etc. Typically grays aren't the first visible sign of aging.

      I'm just getting grey bits in my dark hair and no deep lines, just fine around the eyes from laughing too much, lol? A bit of droopiness around the eyelids and jawline. I'm 54 and my mammy and daddy are in their seventies. They are still quite dark haired and have a fairly healthy lifestyle , mainly they have each other and don't frown too much despite everything.

    Simple has definitely changed in my skin care routine, I have added serums and do now exfoliate once a week. Also, I don't walk out the door without sunscreen applied to my face, neck and hands! So true! I am one who has some sun spots on the left side of my face because I was driving while not wearing sunscreen !

    Been following you for over 3 years now and LOVE all your advice. I turn 50 next month and ppl find out my true age they are floored. They say I don't look a day over 30. I attribute it all to good genes, great skincare started as a teen, quality vitamins, good supplements like collagen and a proper diet with moderate exercise. I've never had any procedures or botox and I am def not opposed to such when the time comes. I loved your video on silica and the bamboo shoots. I have to try that now-lol. We all want to look as beautiful as possible at every age but the key is not to over do it. No one likes the plastic look.

    Damn he’s good. His advice and reasoning is on point. I am very happy to say I listened to my intuition and did my hormone tests every 6 months to a year. And I was also considering dexa scan - but instead increased my weight lifting sessions,and working on my diet to “clean up”,and then I can just do a scan to check my progress.
    Everything he says here is pure gold.
    He deserves millions of followers. Im saving this video to share with all my friends. Everything he’s talking about took me long time to hunt down on the internet over the years - and he’s literally breaking it all down here.
