    If they managed to fit a 100kwh battery into the car but keeping the weight and size of the battery the same, I think it would be both great selling and buying point for Tesla and many consumers who are skeptical about range, or also may live in more extreme weather locations.
    A 100kwh battery would mean you could actually do 300 miles (500 km) between superchargers when driving actually 80 mph (130 km/h) on highways, and only by charging just between 5% -> 90%.
    That's what we need, and to be honest, that's what I wanna see the car be able to do too.

    As a Tesla MY LR owner now for almost 4 years. I can tell you that the range is not as stated our car is rated for 326 miles. There’s no way we will ever get that mileage at highway speeds it’s grossly overstated in the US. I for one was hoping for at least a 400 mile estimated range which would mean it would get about actually 300 miles of usage on the highway, also many people don’t know about Century mode and cabin overheat protection that drains the battery in hot climates even more subsequently having you charge the car more frequently can get annoying overtime.

      Don't waste your money. It is horrible. I hate mine. The charge time. The wait. Adding hours to a trip that should take 4 hours. It gets old, and frustrating. I have to rent a gas vehicle because this car takes me an additional 4 hours due to charging needs.
      Additionally, your car devalues in 6 months. 15k. US dollars.
      Trash. The charging is expensive as well. Do yourself a favor.
      Insurance is expensive as well.
      Tires are super expensive and you only ly get 25K miles on new tires.
      The back of that car looks like a Pontiac sub. Nasty.
      Also, you will only get 160 miles per charge. You will NEVER EVER get 350 miles per charge.

      @@DaCa4654the dude said he’s in Norway. They have gone all in on EVs and the infrastructure is very well supported. So much so that their public transportation is struggling from lack of use. None of your complaints are relevant. Not to mention they are patently false. I have driven halfway across Florida on a single charge. I paid $19 for 50 kwh in Orlando last November which is less than filling up the tiny 9.5 gallon tank on my Versa. If it’s as cheap as a four cylinder sub-compact car to keep on the road then it’s not expensive. The more frequent stops on long road trips is a valid point but it’s so overblown by detractors it’s hard to take seriously any more.

    • @DaCa4654
      @DaCa4654 13 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@Alopen-xb1rb I didn’t say he wasn't in Norway-pay attention.
      Also, I call your statement nonsense. I drive my Tesla for a living, and I’m on the road every week, so I know what I’m talking about. At 50 cents per kWh, there’s no way you’d only spend $19. You wouldn’t even get 145 miles on a full charge. I guarantee it.
      Here are the facts: I pay 45 cents per kWh. I drove 288 miles, spent $48, and returned home with 20% battery remaining-bare minimum. That 20% wouldn’t have lasted more than another 10 miles.
      Meanwhile, my VW Tiguan covered 200 miles on $15 worth of gas, and I didn’t even use half a tank. Do the math.
      On top of that, you conveniently ignore the time cost. Charging adds at least an hour and a half to my day. That’s time I could spend working or being productive, but instead, I’m stuck waiting for a charge.
      What about car insurance? Electric vehicle insurance costs can be higher than traditional cars. And let’s not forget the longer routes or extended time spent on the road because of insufficient charge, which adds even more inconvenience.
      Stop spreading misinformation and come back when you have real facts to back your claims.

    • @Alopen-xb1rb
      @Alopen-xb1rb 13 วันที่ผ่านมา +3

      @ 20% wouldn’t last another 10 miles. . . Sure thing bro. You might want to stop lying to yourself about your numbers. An SUV does not get 40 miles per gallon. Average price of gas is $3.10 around here and $15 is less than 5 gallons. Sorry, your SUV gets better mileage than my Nissan Versa if it goes 200 miles on less than five gallons of gas. Meanwhile 50 kwh for $19 is correct at $.38 a kwh. You should double check your math.
      Look, You bought an EV for long distance driving and are disappointed with it. That is not its strength. But Then you are applying your circumstance with long distance driving on a regular basis to everyone else who drives an EV and projecting it will be awful. Most people never drive more than 20 miles a day. They can happily charge at home and love their car.
      No way will I ever go back an ICE for oil changes, radiator flushes, and the other pile of maintenance issues you disregarded when you whined about the wheels.
      I got both and i have no time for anyone who is adamant ICE are unequivocally better than EVs at all things. I will concede they might be for lots of people. But I am absolutely not one of them.
      Now an ICE might be better for you. But you are using angry ex-girlfriend crazy math with your EV. Maybe just rid yourself of the car that you loathe so much. Your mind is clearly made up.

    • @DaCa4654
      @DaCa4654 13 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @Alopen-xb1rb First off, let’s address the claim about my SUV. I said my VW Tiguan went 200 miles on $15 of gas, and I didn’t even use half a tank. It’s a smaller SUV with a combined EPA rating of around 24/31 MPG. A full tank of gas would give me 459 miles, based on the manufacturer’s specifications. Gas prices vary by region, so while $3.10 might be the average where you live, that’s not necessarily what I’m paying. Your comparison to a Nissan Versa is irrelevant because these are two completely different classes of vehicles. Comparing a compact car to an SUV makes no sense in this context.
      Now, let’s revisit the Tesla’s range and charging. I said I drove 288 miles, spent $48, and got home with 20% battery left. Based on Tesla’s efficiency ratings, that 20% would translate to roughly 50 miles of range in ideal conditions. However, real-world driving is rarely ideal. Highway speeds, cold weather, heavy loads, or even terrain can significantly reduce that range. In my case, that 20% wouldn’t last more than 10 miles under those conditions. This isn’t “angry ex-girlfriend math”; it’s simply a fact based on firsthand experience.
      As for the claim about EV maintenance, yes, I understand the advantages-no oil changes, fewer moving parts, and so on. But let’s not pretend EVs are maintenance-free. Tires wear out faster on EVs due to their additional weight and torque. Battery degradation is inevitable, coolant flushes are required, and repairs to charging systems can be costly. At the end of the day, it’s an expensive, high-tech computer on wheels with its own set of problems. Facts.
      Finally, your argument that "most people never drive more than 20 miles a day" might be true for some drivers, but not for those of us who rely on our vehicles for long-distance travel. EVs were marketed as a cheaper and more efficient alternative to gas vehicles, but they’ve failed to live up to that promise for many of us. Between charging costs, rising electricity prices, and frequent charges, the savings are simply not there. It’s not just me saying this-it’s been all over the news. Tesla has been in the spotlight for being more expensive to operate than gas vehicles in many cases. Look it up.
      Yes, I’m frustrated with my Tesla, and I have every reason to be. I purchased it for its advertised range and the supposed affordability of electric power. Instead, I’ve been met with rising costs and frequent inconvenience. I’m not alone in this, and my frustrations are shared by many others. Maybe you’re happy with your EV, and that’s great for you. But let’s stick to the facts instead of dismissing my experience as “angry math.” It’s real, it’s thousands of peoples experience and disappointment, and it’s backed by hard numbers."

    @johnfranklin6394 15 วันที่ผ่านมา +3

    Yeah, I have the 2024 Model 3 with no indicator stalk. It is absolutely fine in all but one scenario.
    When you have to make a very sharp turn (e.g. at button roundabout or left or right turn >>90 degrees) then it is hard to keep track of the orientation of the indicator buttons when you have turned the wheel a few rotations. Other than that (thankfully rare) scenario, the buttons are fine.
    But, of course, a stalk is perfectly functional in all scenarios.
    As for the those front lights on the new Y, maybe they are the actual dip and main beams and not fog lamps at all. The light bar above may be just that, a light bar without dip and main beam capability?

      I have one as well. In Europe the inconvenience of not having a stalk is not at all rare, and it can certainly create some dangerous situations if you for some reason need to engage blinkers quickly while maneuvering. • @gannetripple
      @gannetripple 12 วันที่ผ่านมา

      You say that the scenario you describe is rare. May be true in some countries but many others are full of roundabouts. I won’t be replacing my 3 with a new one (UK). @ I live in the UK. There are 7 roundabouts on my route to work. So, 14 in a day. But, they are all regular size, so the indicator buttons are not an issue. Button roundabouts are rarer, at least where I live, being limited to some large housing estates that I rarely drive on.

    The turn signal buttons. I've got used to them, and even prefer them, and my brother quickly got used to them too which surprised the shit out of me when he drove my car. However, there's always gonna be the time you need to turn the signal on when the wheel is turning or upside down and also... Occasionally we will push the turn signal button and it's stuck. The teeter-totter design of it, where one button is used for two things, means it occasionally just locks up. Which isn't good. Altogether, if they can include it, great. They still shaved off the cost of the other side of it.
