MrTechyGaming I was going to mention it but you can still use storage if you have Free membership. You're just limited to the point where you can't use it as a live save tool in game (at least on 360), and you can only move and delete.

i need help with xbox 360 cloud storage i decided to boot up my old 360 the other day to mod skate 3 saves to upload to xbox one. but for some reason i can not move or copy any save to the cloud storage. i can copy and move items out of the cloud storage just fine. i have xbox live and my console is connected to the internet. the option to select the cloud storage device is not even there when booting up games. i should mention that im an RGH 1.2 jasper latest kernel with proto.

From what I got, all you need to do is copy the data on the xbox 360 to cloud. And when you start up your game for the Xbox One, it will get the cloud data and that's it. Is there a way to download the cloud data to the Xbox One just in case the Xbox live membership expires and cloud can't be used?? Or if you can't connect to the internet after doing so.

It's worth noting that Xbox Live Gold is required to transfer saves as silver users cannot use cloud storage on Xbox 360

You need to initialize the cloud storage option in your storage settings on the console.
