Arcade League/Challenges have a few problems (notably Monkey Curling is near impossible to Platinum because after a few rounds the physics break entirely and your monkeys fly into the sky, so you need a perfect score before that happens), but the majority of the problems are in story mode. Mansion of Madness has such intense slowdown during the insect swarm part that the game runs at 1-2fps any time they are on screen, takes a good 10 mins or so to get past that with how many there are to kill. What Lies Below is rife with issues with broken textures obscuring large parts of the screen, and then in both of the U-Genix stages the security systems basically need operating blind to progress because most of the monitor is broken. Overall the game should be possible to fully complete, but at times it gets incredibly difficult and frustrating due to all the issues. I just have one question, for games that cannot be played with the official controller, which controller is suitable for games like timesplitter, second sight? Can you leave me a link to access the image and information of this controller? sorry if my English is not understandable because I am French speaking.
Those rock candy controllers are for sure worth it. I loved the thing so much that when my dog chewed through the cord I manually replaced it. After 800~1000hrs of play the sticks broke. Still a great choice
Also the original Xbox is also very underrated, the original Xbox is easy to hack and you can get hours of fun just from the emulators... I still have an original Xbox And I can tell you it's pretty underrated with a great library
Ight i did a little work and i have a really neat trick for ya to get some more games running on the og emulator. Tools you'll need are a rgh 360,xextool,and a hex editor. Inside the 360s compatibility folder youll see a xbox.xex and some xefu files. The xbox.xex acts like a Directory which sends games based on their title id to a certain emulator (the 360 has 8 emulator versions). So you can decript the xbox.xex file with xextool(XeXSolutions has a good video on how to do this from 7 years old.follow his video and dl his kit to get started).,hexedit a game's title id and if its not found you replace an existing title id of a game that you do not want to play with the title id of one that you do,then right below its title id is the emulator it will use so you can switch which emu to use and test out all 8 emulators to see if your game will run. I got mechassault and Steet hoops fully working, but not Bruce Lee,Midtown madness 3,and Def Jam ffny.so ymmv. Here are the emulators codes, only the last 2 digits are different for each. Xefu(default emu) 82 00 06 7C xefu1_1 2c xefu2 40 xefu3 68 xefu5 88 xefu6 54 xefu7 B0 xefu7b 9C mathieulh has a Twitter post from dec 3 2019 that has the master list of title ids within the xbox.xex. Enjoy!!!!
Wait can you emulate the Simpsons hit and run, both the SpongeBob games on the series X? If so please tell me what are the necessities and link a useful tutorial.
This reminds me of the fact that the DS can easily run SNES games through emulation and I don’t get why they had to wait till the 3DS to actually sell them
"easily" is a wild exaggeration, my DSi has trouble with some Gameboy Color games. Yes the ds CAN emulate snes but the performance is pretty garbage and the screen resolution is too low to match snes resulting in weird scaling. 3ds screen is almost exactly right for snes, and New 3ds is actually needed for full speed
Well, the most important game runs flawlessly so the emulation checks out, that game being Panzer Dragoon Orta. Great walkthrough on X360 though, deff one of my favorite consoles.
Got two notifications for this, that means it's time to stop everything I'm doing, put everything down and watch it! Twice. 👀 (I see it's a re-up, but I actually didn't have time to watch it the first time yet, so I'm excited for this one!)
Do a video comparing the officially listed original xbox games on the 360, Xbox one and the series X. I wonder if any of the games play better on 360 than they do on series X
This was my experience with the officially supported games too. Bad framerates, graphical glitching, cutscene issues, crashes... Even the ones that were "playable" weren't as good as they should have been. I appreciate how difficult it is to emulate an xbox, but the team that did it just couldn't bring the technology over the finish line. If I had made one of these xbox games I would have been annoyed that Microsoft were seemingly demonstrating it in a bad light to new gamers by making it look like a slow, glitchy mess and I wonder if that's why so many are missing from the Xbox One - not license issues, the devs just didn't want to see their work trashed in public.
With regards to the backward compatible library..... I love it, i love playing some original Xbox games on my Series X, like Splinter Cell, especially with the enhanced visuals and Auto HDR. The same goes for 360 games. But whoever compiled the list of games that would get the nod for being back compat, and the ones left is an absolute melt. Some of the digital games on the store are F#####G AWFUL! And the ones left out. How about the Conflict Desert Strike 1 and 2..... And the rest of the conflict series? Then Medal Of Honour, European Assault i believe it was, and Medal Of Honour Warfighter. Then Half Life, The Orange Box......... I could list another 20 games that were absolute belters, but have been left in the oblivion of past games. Yes, i know there are a couple of old Disc games that will work that aren't digital games, but they are crap. For me, with the massive library of games, if you are going too go and boast about game conservation and back compat... Go balls deep and do it with all great titles, not this half arsed childish crap available that wouldn't look out of place on a bloody Switch.

Those rock candy controllers are for sure worth it. I loved the thing so much that when my dog chewed through the cord I manually replaced it.
After 800~1000hrs of play the sticks broke. Still a great choice
I wish they gave us backwards compatibility program 2.0 on xbox
i really want to play more original Xbox games on Xbox One/Series X? so bad 😢
2:59 You ready for this?
"No?"
Good.
My old comment about load times on Unreal 2 still stands LOL
is there any way to play incompatible 360 games on xbox one or something?
A new updoot from me buddy, can't wait for the second part;)
Don't mind watching this again with how much I already enjoyed it~
Wish to see you do a video on OTVDM by testing many Windows 3.1 games from 1990 to 1994.
I'm a playstation guy but got to say the Xbox 360 was alot of fun online especially
Also the original Xbox is also very underrated, the original Xbox is easy to hack and you can get hours of fun just from the emulators... I still have an original Xbox And I can tell you it's pretty underrated with a great library
Can you still save/load game progress like normal on these bypassed compatibility OG xbox games?
Generally yes, there might be a few that don't but iirc there are fixes.
My man didn't talk about mortal kombat deception
Hey Frame, i heard your voice in the duke nukem 2001 restoration project
EZ-Vend welcomes you to this video. =D
Xefu(default emu) 82 00 06 7C
xefu1_1 2c
xefu2 40
xefu3 68
xefu5 88
xefu6 54
xefu7 B0
xefu7b 9C
mathieulh has a Twitter post from dec 3 2019 that has the master list of title ids within the xbox.xex.
Enjoy!!!!
I miss the Yeah Framerater! song :(
"a dry martini shaken not st-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t" Sean Connery perfectly summed up Xbox backward compatibility. 😂
Did you try running any of these in 480i or 480p. That helps the slowdowns
I've heard it's not consistent, but will give it a try in the next one.
This help harry potter game?
Very good video Frame!
Wonderful vid. I didn't watch the original but this is a great video and I'm glad I caught it the second time around
Wait can you emulate the Simpsons hit and run, both the SpongeBob games on the series X? If so please tell me what are the necessities and link a useful tutorial.
I remember playing chamber of secrets all the time on the 360 with no issues! And I never had a modded xbox
The only OG Xbox game I've played on my 360 a lot was Star Wars Battlefront 2
This reminds me of the fact that the DS can easily run SNES games through emulation and I don’t get why they had to wait till the 3DS to actually sell them
plus, werent snes games regulated to only new 3ds?
"easily" is a wild exaggeration, my DSi has trouble with some Gameboy Color games. Yes the ds CAN emulate snes but the performance is pretty garbage and the screen resolution is too low to match snes resulting in weird scaling. 3ds screen is almost exactly right for snes, and New 3ds is actually needed for full speed
This is why I keep a modded og Xbox around.
As another TH-camr likes to say, comments are good for the TH-cam algorithm
This is why I love Nintendont on Wii U.
Well, the most important game runs flawlessly so the emulation checks out, that game being Panzer Dragoon Orta.
Great walkthrough on X360 though, deff one of my favorite consoles.
Can you test midnight club 3 and nba street vol.2
You could tell me the bloom in Mace Griffin was intended and I'd believe you. Almost every fucking game back in the day had too much bloom.
i love it how youtube is fundamentally such a broken and non functional piece of software
Got two notifications for this, that means it's time to stop everything I'm doing, put everything down and watch it! Twice. 👀
(I see it's a re-up, but I actually didn't have time to watch it the first time yet, so I'm excited for this one!)
Capcom vs snk 2 doesn't work in too it crashing
i really want to play more Xbox 360 games on Xbox One/Series X? so bad 😢
If I had made one of these xbox games I would have been annoyed that Microsoft were seemingly demonstrating it in a bad light to new gamers by making it look like a slow, glitchy mess and I wonder if that's why so many are missing from the Xbox One - not license issues, the devs just didn't want to see their work trashed in public.
watching, liking and sharing again to support the channel uwu
Already watched the original
Def Jam NY, Bloody roar Xtreme, moratl kombat shaolin monks, That would be a great exploit
10 years from now XBOX will be a disered system for collectors to want.
Why did you re-upload the video?
A couple things I needed to change but the TH-cam editor was frozen.
Time splitters 2 and FP run on the series x which is crazy
Watching it again gang.
Why the re-upload?
There were some errors in the video that he couldn't fix in the TH-cam Editor
