Does the 360 work plugged directly into a TV? It could have something to do with HDMI power on/off settings on the 360 or even XB One, but that's all I can think of right now. Another possibility it the AC power isn't plugged in. It sounds stupid, but it is very common to overlook.

First, make sure everything is plugged in and powered on. Based on other comments , your problem may be that some regions do not have the feature available.

I dont get exactly why you would connect the two because to play 360 your xbox one has to be on but you could just connect the 360 to the tv and only have one console on
As stated in the video, if your TV doesn't have any free HDMI inputs, this works better than unplugging and re plugging cords every time you want to play 360. There are other uses as well, but enjoy your fancy TV with its 4+ HDMI inputs.
I want to connect my 360 to xbox one x... The reason being I don't have a 360 controller anymore so I want to play it through my one x using the controller for that. I've followed every step. I've used the oneguide, gone through the set up. During the set up it turns the 360 on and the preview window shows the 360 menu, great. But then it asks me if it turned on. I select 'yes' (because it did) and my 360 turns off!! I've tried it 20 times now, even when I leave that menu and it thinks it's all set up there's no way to switch to the 360's menu... None. I've gone through every menu. So annoyingly it can show the 360 in the set up but can't actually switch to it once it's all set up. There's no "watch live TV" or "TV" button, there's no entertainment tab anymore either. Does it just not work on the one x? What do I do?
I'll try and find some time to look into this. You definitely need an Xbox 360 controller because the Xbox One is just being used as an extra HDMI input at this point. You can only use the Xbox One to switch between its regular output and the auxiliary HDMI

is a bit diffent menu for 2024 but the options are still there i couldnt get mine running but i will try with differnt hdmi cables
