Fuse deals more damage the closest it is, doest matter the number of beams thats just optical, try placing any troop next to a fuse wothout any walls (just put building health to x1000) you will se dps 6000/s+ Edit: the optimal position of enemy troop for fuse is not next to it (it would have 1.5 tiles distance, but on top of then centre of the building). In private maps if spawn radius is very small it doesnt destry building that cover the (or it used previous v6)
Swarmer is easily the most underrated turret in my opinion. Given it's small size and homing ability (which means barely anything is wasted too), you can spam a lot of them. They have a very decent range and are great for both crowds and single targets. They have one of (if not the highest) dps to size ratio in the game, so like I mentioned before, you can spam with great efficiency. It's only real downside is that it does not have any real piercing ability.
Because units like Oct and Eclipse have large hitboxes,At close range, fuse deals three times damage due to all three beams going through the hitbox... Also you should test the "blast-compound+cryofluid" combo... The "blasted" effect deals more damage than "shocked" when the unit is frozen...
fun fact: Spectre is a super heavy machine gun turret that goes BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR, Cyclone is a gatling gun, Swarmer is a Sam-Turret, Cyclone: IM THE BEST NON-OVERDRIVED UNIT Swarmer: IM THE BEST OVERDRIVED UNIT
My theory: When the turret is inside the shield, the shield does nothinng. Only the outside bullets gets absorbed by it. Also there is armor in play. I imagine each individual hit damage is decreased by the flat shield value, so a fast hitting weapon like a beam weapon against a highly armored unit wont do much at all. A slow, hard hitting gun is needed for that.
I think Cyclone+Wave would be better without OverDrive but if using it. Then Swarmer would be because of its missile shooting. I think 2 of them are great turrets. Combining Fuse and Spectre would be better
@@phenomenallyphen In games like these, you need to understand the difference between volleys and reload. Swarmers shoot a volley of projectiles, but takes time to reload the next volley. That reload, is longer than cyclone and spectre. Which is why percentage buffs to reload helps weapons with longer reload than ones with shorter. There are more milliseconds to shave off in swarmers than there are microseconds in cyclones.
It may be confusing at first but I come from a Kixeye game called Battle Pirates and they give a lot of statistics to read, and configurations to influence them. Unfortunately for Mindustry, your only source of information as amount of projectiles shot on average. That hides a lot of the turrets traits, such as firing behaviour. Does it shoot a volley of projectiles, or a shotgun burst of it, how long does it take to shoot all volleys, how long it takes to reload the next firing cycle, etc.
I said "woah this turret is op" the first time I used the swarmer. It outstats the cyclone in range, damage, area damage, size and firing rate and the materials needed for bluiding it are less than a cyclone And yes i confirmed, compound swarmer goes brrrrrrr
Talk about dps all you want but 5 to 6 meltdowns can virtually kill everything thrown against them.Once you reach large amounts of boss waves meltdowns and foreshadows are everything.
Meltdowns aren't the best for killing bosses, I'd go for spectre; and foreshadows, despite it having a low dps, can be effectively spammed due to its insane range
Then you haven't seen people that use the foreshadow + spectre combo paired with logic to boost the spectre's range via foreshadow's range. 4 Spectres are enough to melt everything, plus the Spectre actually has more range than it visually shows and unlike Meltdown, it doesn't need to cool off.
swarmer: how much damage will i do...?
ah! why not 200 dps?
swarmer: *accidentaly types another 0*

Lol bruh
crawler from mindustry real
8:05 Reign would had same dps as oct, but only 1 beam hitted him. Also I love these videos to inform me about the best turrets
Swarmer is buffed even more in V7, consume less ammo and gain 20% more range, now it has more range than Hail.
The speed increase buff of both overdrive dome and projector stack on top of each other. You should see it for yourself how much more crazy it gets
Hol'up.. that sounds cursed af, imma try it lmao

Spectre: does not do splash

7:15 because more beams are hitting the target. Most of the damage actually missed the reign in the first test, so you saw like 1/3 of the true power

Beatiful! Thank you very much for doing it it helps players great in deciding the the best turret and helps by properly informing them! Well done!!
Swarmer is more than 2 times smaller than cyclone, yet deal more damage.
Swarmer is OP as long as it has enough ammo to shoot.
try putting the fuse close to the reign. that way, reign receives 3 bullets at the same time, just like you did with an oct.
In io servers, tower defence the fuse is the most used weapon there its very effective. They spam it like ALOT and thorium fed

Shields protect even if you shoot from from the inside
in my opinion a mixed defence is ideal so why not use both cyclone and swarmer
fun fact: if you get too close all three of fuse’s attacks can hit the same unit
the reason the oct died to the fuse faster than the reign is because the reign was only hit by one shot, but the oct was hit by all 3.
No, the reign had plot armour
I think Cyclone+Wave would be better without OverDrive but if using it. Then Swarmer would be because of its missile shooting. I think 2 of them are great turrets. Combining Fuse and Spectre would be better
Yeah, I think overdrive doesn't work on cyclone, but spectre will always be reliable.
Now ill just point people here when they ask why i use swarmer
hey, download the Betamindy mod, it has processor booster use it to make stuff more accurate
It cannot be boosted, as I used @time and it is based in miliseconds
Electric damage maybe based by enemy hp
why is your fuse so slow...

Swarmer has the better buff due to its long reload. The other turrets have shorter reload, thus the overal dps increase is small

I explain the fuse is wall break (shield break) so the fuse go above the shield and damage the oct directly
Meltdown is too, wall break that is
Random Scorch From V5: NO.
Ahh yes the beautiful silence
Mindustry v6 didn't support audio recording 😂
Making the object even more powerful
Can you give a schematic for the processor you used in this video?
So my favourite turret is now that one with the highest dps, that's nice
(swarmer)
Swarmer is op but only when you overdrive it
Spectre = Big duo mom
Can you do swarmer vs toxopid?
Why no oil or however it was called on fire turrets? I think that boosts their dmg by a bit
Can i have the logic to see turret dps?
the fuse have three hit-points and the oct is bigger
Intresting.
try using foreshadow. it will look like hail, but the damage is huge
Foreshadow has low dps per turret
Overdrived swarmer is swarmer but on steroids
You forgot to add the overdrive projector it also boosts near right along with the overdrive Dome
can i copy the schem for the dps counter?
Fuse does more damage to oct because all 3 prongs hit it
8:05probably cuz Oct has a bigger hitbox Than regin
Scorch:HEY IM I HERE??!?!?!?!???!?!?!!!!
i did Cyclone Surge + Water Tsunami and it turned out to deal massive damage againts a HORDE OF ZENITH it took down like 39 zenith at once
How do I increase spectre range with logic?
Can't anymore
If an Oct didn't spawn as an Enemy.
Whao swarmer is underrated also where audio
Idk where, mindustry lost it
Weird, i didnt get a notification even though im subscribed and activated the notifications.
Can I get DPS counter schem ?
Oct is too fat that fuse can hit it with its side lasers, while fuse never hit the reign with side lasers
this is every turret on veggies
Cyclone kinda fast
I still ask myself why u didnt use logic to make the enemey units just make nothing
That's a good idea, wow thanks
