Nchi ya Somalia imekuwa na ukosefu wa usalama kwa ziaidi ya mwongo mmoja sasa, swala ambalo limefanya nchi kadhaa barani Afrika kuwatuma maafisa wa usalama nchini humo chini ya mwavuli wa Umoja wa Mataifa ya Afrika, kwa madhumuni ya kudumisha amani. Wanajeshi wa Kenya KDF, ni miongoni mwa maafisa ambao wamekuwa nchini Somalia kwa miaka kadhaa. Kati ya maafisa hao wa usalama ni wanajeshi wa kike ambao wamejizatiti kudumisha amani katika sehemu mbalimbali za nchi hiyo. Mwanahabari wetu Robert Karuga anasimulia zaidi kutoka Somalia.
