- Palestinian militant groups such as Hamas’ Al-Qassam Brigades regularly post videos of their forces in combat. But what do these videos reveal about the tactics they use against the Israeli military?
1. They rely heavily on ‘hit and run’ strikes.
2. They put significant resources into filming attacks.
3. Few attacks seem to result in vehicles being completely destroyed.
4. They frequently use makeshift devices such as homemade explosives.
5. Hamas are still capable of mounting armed resistance against Israeli forces.
Almost five months since Hamas attacked Israel on 7 October, it’s unclear how much closer Israel is to its goal of ‘destroying Hamas’. It’s also uncertain what will be left of Gaza even if the Israeli military is eventually successful.

They do have some fairly good weapon systems. They can fight these tanks so effectively because of guerrilla warfare too. The RPGs they are using are equipped with tandem-charge warheads. You can see the smaller secondary charge on the tip of one near the start of the video. They also have a plethora of late Soviet era ATGM systems such as the konkurs which is still plenty to knock out a merkava that isn't equipped with the Trophy active protection system.

In the movies, scenes like this did not happen. A soldier from the Hamas forces carries a bomb in his hand and places it on the hull of the occupation tank and escapes, after which the tank turns to ashes.

Hamas is a terrorist group
The RPG is not designed to explode the entire tank.
The rocket has 2 explosive charges built into it.
When the rocket impacts the tank the heat from the explosion melts the metal shell of the tank creating a hole straight through to the cabin where the soldiers are sitting.
When the second charge explodes the blast is funneled through the hole setting the soldiers inside on fire.
The strategy is deadly effective.
Each tank hit is carrying 6 soldiers.
This is why the Israeli defense minister openly admitted on camera the IDF has lost 70,000 soldiers to date on the battlefield and are in need of more troops.
Except that didn't happen. And the tanks have a crew of four. Source please?

@@levarcheatham9586 there is no model 6 of the merkava tank as of yet . Merkava V entered service with the IDF in 2022. Crew is 4 man . MBT´s lost in Gaza so far : 2 completly destroyed, 50 damaged of wich 8 could be repaired in field. KIA for IDF aproximatly 550 Soldiers KIA, around 2k WIA .

Prophet Muhammad discarded the 360 idols but retained for Islam, the Ka’aba with its Black Stone, justifying it with the claim that Abraham and Ishmael originally constructed it. However, there is no historical or archaeological evidence for the existence of the Ka’aba beyond a few hundred years before Muhammad's lifetime. In fact, Muhammad's own words disprove any connection he was attempting to make between Abraham, Ishmael and the Ka’aba.
The Qur'an says Abraham built it:
Remember We made the House a place of assembly for men and a place of safety; and take ye the station of Abraham as a place of prayer; and We covenanted with Abraham and Isma'il, that they should sanctify My House for those who compass it round, or use it as a retreat, or bow, or prostrate themselves (therein in prayer).

Muhammed says it was built 40 years prior to the Temple at Jerusalem:

The Temple at Jerusalem was built by Solomon around 958-951 BC. This implies that if Muhammad were to be believed, the Ka’aba must have been built approximately 998-991 BC. But Abraham lived around 2000 BC and both Abraham and Ishmael would have been dead by then.
If Muhammad is correct, then the Qur’an [and therefore Allah] is wrong. But if the Qur’an is correct in stating that Abraham and Ishmael built the Ka’aba, then Muhammad and the sahih hadith is wrong.
The Ka’aba has nothing to do with Abraham or Ishmael. It has a wholly pagan heritage. Egyptian Professor and foremost authority on Arabic literature, Dr. Taha Husayn, said the following:
The case for this episode is very obvious because it is of recent date and came into vogue just before the rise of Islam. Islam exploited it for religious reasons.[1]
Also, according to sahih hadith, Muhammad even considered dismantling it:
Narrated Aswad: Ibn Az-Zubair said to me, "Aisha used to tell you secretly a number of things. What did she tell you about the Ka'ba?" I replied, "She told me that once the Prophet said, 'O 'Aisha! Had not your people been still close to the pre-Islamic period of ignorance (infidelity)! I would have dismantled the Ka'ba and would have made two doors in it; one for entrance and the other for exit." Later on Ibn Az-Zubair did the same.

Worship at the Ka’aba and the kissing of the Black Stone are just the first of many practices adopted from 7th century paganism and repackaged within monotheistic Islam.

For example, the pagan deity 'Al-Lat', mentioned in Qur'an 53:19, and believed by pre-Islamic pagans to be one of the daughters of Allah, was once venerated as a cubic rock at Ta'if in Saudi Arabia. An edifice was built over the rock to mark it apart as a house of worship.
Al-lat stood in al-Ta'if, and was more recent than Manah. She was a cubic rock beside which a certain Jew used to prepare his barley porridge (sawiq). Her custody was in the hands of the banu-'Attab ibn-Malik of the Thayif, who had built an edifice over her. "A principal sacred object in Arabian religion was the stone, either a rock outcropping or a large boulder, often a rectangular or irregular black basaltic stone… of numerous baetyls, the best known is the Black-stone of the Ka’aba at Mecca which became the central shrine object in Islam".[3]

There is no denying that the Black Stone was one among many stones and idols venerated at the Ka’aba by the pre-Islamic pagans. The Black Stone was kissed during pre-Islamic pagan worship. Though Muhammad threw out 360 other objects at the Ka’aba, he retained this Black Stone and continued the practice of kissing it. It is this same stone that the pre-Islamic pagans once kissed, that Muslims kiss today when visiting Mecca.
Praying 5 Times Towards Mecca[edit]
Pagans prior to Islam would pray five times per day towards Mecca.[4] Muhammad retained for Islam, this pre-Islamic practice, sanctioning it with a story of a night trip to heaven on a mythical beast called al-Buraq. In heaven, the Hadith tells us that Allah demanded 50 prayers per day per Muslim. Upon advice from Moses, Muhammed bargains with Allah and successfully reduces it to five prayers per day.
Zoroastrians are also expected to recite their (kusti) prayers at least five times a day having first cleansed themselves by washing (ablution). So even today, this is not a practice unique to Islam.[5] But, contrary to the Muslims, they pray in the direction of the Sun (at each time of the day) and/or of the Holy Fire (if they are in a Fire Temple). [6]
Fasting on the 10th of Muharram[edit]
Muhammad's pagan tribe, the Quraish, fasted on the 10th of Muharram. Though optional, Muhammad retained this pagan practice too.
Narrated 'Aisha: 'Ashura' (i.e. the tenth of Muharram) was a day on which the tribe of Quraish used to fast in the pre-lslamic period of ignorance. The Prophet also used to fast on this day. So when he migrated to Medina, he fasted on it and ordered (the Muslims) to fast on it. When the fasting of Ramadan was enjoined, it became optional for the people to fast or not to fast on the day of Ashura.

Tawaf between Safa and Marwa[edit]
Doing Tawaf between Safa and Marwa is an Islamic ritual associated with the pilgrimage to Mecca. Safa and Marwa are two mounts, located at Mecca. This ritual entails Muslims walking frantically between the two mounts, seven times. This was originally a pagan pre-Islamic practice. Muhammad retained it for Islam, sanctioning it with yet another Qur'anic revelation.[7]
Narrated 'Asim: I asked Anas bin Malik: "Did you use to dislike to perform Tawaf between Safa and Marwa?" He said, "Yes, as it was of the ceremonies of the days of the Pre-lslamic period of ignorance, till Allah revealed: 'Verily! (The two mountains) As-Safa and Al-Marwa are among the symbols of Allah. It is therefore no sin for him who performs the pilgrimage to the Ka'ba, or performs 'Umra, to perform Tawaf between them.' " (2.158)

Clearly, the Hadith testifies that Muhammad merely adopted this pagan ceremony from the pre-Islamic "period of ignorance" and justified it with yet another convenient Qur'anic revelation.
A myth was also created about Hagar running between these two mounts in search of water until she found the Zamzam Well. Even if this story were true, why is this reason for people to run up and down between two mounts to please a god? This myth was not created to further justify the ritual, but for another reason; Muhammad was trying to market Zamzam, owned by his family, as a money-making venture.
Requirement of Ihram[edit]
Ihram is a state a Muslim enters into for his pilgrimage to Mecca. It involves a series of procedures like ritual washing, wearing 'Ihram garments', etc. Ihram was originally a pagan requirement for worshipping idols during pre-Islamic times. Muhammad retained this practice for Islam. Muslims assume Ihram to perform the Hajj or Umrah.
Narrated 'Urwa: I asked 'Aisha : ...But in fact, this divine inspiration was revealed concerning the Ansar who used to assume “Ihram” for worshipping an idol called “Manat” which they used to worship at a place called Al-Mushallal before they embraced Islam, and whoever assumed Ihram (for the idol), would consider it not right to perform Tawaf between Safa and Marwa.

Are Muslim fundamentalists inherently inhumane, savage and evil? Of course not. Muslims are ordinary people, just like anybody else. They are fathers, brothers and sons. They could be doctors, engineers and lawyers. They are your co-workers, and your next door neighbors.
So what goes on in their minds when they act violently? To understand this one must understand an important and dangerous Islamic teaching called "Jihad", ( or Holy War).
It is important to understand that not every Arab is a Muslim, not every Muslim is an Arab, and not every Muslim is a fundamentalist. We are not trying to attack a religion. We are only exposing a teaching in a religion that could have a serious effect on all society.
It is also important to know that in exercising Jihad, Muslim fundamentalists may not think they are trying to maliciously hurt others, but rather they are only obeying God�s commandments. And in doing so, they are assuring themselves a place in Paradise.
JIHAD ( Holy War)
Jihad is one of the most sacred duties Muslims perform. The word "Jihad", is an Arabic word which means "struggle". In this sense Jihad is the struggle for the cause of spreading Islam, using all means available to Muslims, including violence. This kind of Jihad is often referred to as " Holy War".
In resorting to violence, Muslims will not have any problem finding passages in the Quran ( believed by Muslims to be Allah�s word), and the Hadith (Mohammed�s sayings as recorded by Al Bukhari), that will not only condone violence, but will also demand it.
JIHAD IN THE "QURAN".
Allah orders Muslims in the Quran to terrorize non-Muslims on His behalf.
"Strike terror (into the hearts of) the enemies of God and your enemies."
Surah 8:60
Fight (kill) them (non-Muslims), and God will punish, (torment) them by your hands, cover them with shame." Surah 9:14
" I will instill terror into the hearts of the unbelievers, smite ye above their necks and smite all their finger-tips off them. It is not ye who slew them; it was God."
Surah 8:13-17.
JIHAD IN THE "HADITH".
In the Hadith Mohammed also urges Muslims to practice Jihad.
Mohammed was once asked: what is the best deed for the Muslim next to believing in Allah and His Apostle? His answer was : " To participate in Jihad in Allah�s cause. " Al Bukhari vol 1:25.
Mohammed was quoted as saying: "I have been ordered to fight with the people till they say, none has the right to be worshipped but Allah."
Al Bukhari vol 4:196.
Mohammed also said; "The person who participates in (Holy Battles) in Allah�s cause and nothing compels him do so except belief in Allah and His Apostle, will be recompensed by Allah either with a reward, or booty ( if he survives) or will be admitted to Paradise ( if he is killed). Al Bukhari vol 1:35
MOHAMMED: AN EXAMPLE
When the prophet of Islam started preaching his new religion in Mecca, he was conciliatory to Christians and Jews. He told them, "We believe in what has been sent down to us and sent down to you, our God is the same as your God. "Surah 29:45. This attitude changed completely after he gained strength. Allah then tells him to
"Fight People of the Book (Christians and Jews), who do not accept the religion of the truth (Islam), until they pay tribute (penalty tax) by hand, being inferior." Surah 9:29.
Regarding Christians and Jews, it seems that Mohammed hated the Jews more. During his lifetime, Mohammed devoted much of his efforts to get rid of the Jews: "You (Jews) should know that the earth belongs to Allah and His apostle, and I want to expel from this land ( the Arabian Peninsula), so, if anyone owns property, he is permitted to sell it". Mohammed was quoted.
At that time there were in Medina three Jewish tribes. Two of them, the Qaynqa and the Bani-al-Nudair tribes, were besieged by Mohammed�s men, blocking their access to food supplies, until they surrendered on Mohammed�s terms, which were that their lives would be spared, that they must emigrate from Medina, and that they must deposit all their belongings at a certain place for distribution among Muslims.
The third tribe, Bani Quayza, was not as lucky. After the war of the trench, in which Mohammed was besieged by the Qurayshites led, by Abu Sofyan, it was alleged that Bani Qurayza agreed to provide help from within to Abu Sofyan�s forces. Although the alleged help did not materialize and the siege eventually ended, nevertheless, Mohammed never forgave them for their willingness to help his enemies.
Muslims turned against Bani Qurayza and blocked their streets for twenty five days.
The Jewish tribe expressed readiness to accept the surrender terms which had been conceded to the other two Jewish tribes, namely cession of their belongings and departure with safe conduct.
Mohammed, however, would not consent to this, and instead appointed as an arbiter Saad iben Moaz, a man who was known to be on bad terms with Bani Qurayza. Saad ruled that all Bani Qurayza�s men should be beheaded, that the women and children should be sold as slaves, and that all their property should be divided among the Muslims.
Trenches were dug in the bazaar of Medina for disposal of the nine hundred Jewish bodies whom Mohammed had spent the night slaughtering. (See Ibn Hisham: The Propeht�s Biography: vol 2 pages 40&41.)

It's also on several of the APCs. You can clearly identify Merkava iv tanks in some of the videos as the turret is very different. The minimum effective range published for the Trophy System is 50 meters. Half as much as you claimed, but also depends on the system facing as an rpg fired at 20 meters can be easily knocked out if the system is already facing the threat. Israel has sustained very few Merkava losses, mostly due to mechanical issues. On the other hand, they are very effective at stomping out the hamas cowards and turning them into pink mist.
