- A true DSM build story! First of all, i want to start off by thanking the guys over at DSM headquarters for sticking along for the build journey in the last three years. I also want to thank anyone that took part of this Mitsubishi Eclipse in any way or form. Enjoy!

Glad you gave attention to the 420a platform. Not many people like the 420a sadly but i love it. I love my 99 gs and you answered a lot of questions I had when it comes to boosting it ! Keep it up bro
It’s always been like that. I started off with the 420a, so I have a soft spot for them
They're good engines, however their purpose is different than 4g63t so idk why people compare the 2 motors, it's like comparing a V6 mustang to a V8 mustang
One engine is performance orientated the other is reliable daily, GS/RS and GST/GSX are just completely different cars that have the same body
Man pulling/installing 4 engines back to back is insane but I am glad it finally turned out well. Now I am excited to see the VR4 when you get the boost issues fixed!

My era of vehicle, Miss this car… I recall going in 1998 to a Mitsubishi dealership to buy my brand new eclipse off the lot. A 1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse RS White. I know does not sound like much however… for a young guy 17 at the time 🤩. Nice upload 👍
As a former Neon enthusiast, it's always good to check and change the rod bearings on the 420A block. Get the ARP rod bolts and also change the rear main seal. As you probably know, those like the leak TERRIBLY. Good thing is, those engines are a dime a dozen. And they are so easy to disassemble/reassemble!

He really was! You need to get it off eBay. You power it directly to the starter and ground it somewhere

Great video! I’m about to freshly rebuild my 420a eclipse from scratch. It’s currently at the machine shop getting some head work and some block work as well. Any tips when assembling it? And any parts that I should buy upgraded or any brands in specific to buy for certain parts?
Take your time. Sadly the aftermarket for the 420a platform is non existent. Most things you have to get off eBay with generic brands

Hey Miguel I have a question, when you said on a video you did a 4G63 Swap, do you mean a different 4G63 engine other than the gsx? I thought the gsx already came with 4G63 motors? Not sure if I remember correctly I think you said your dsm was a 420a? Correct me if I’m wrong plz, thanks! Love your videos!!! I’m saving for a dsm currently

Thinking of boosting my 420a but Is it possible to still keep the fog lights on or will the intercooler piping get in the way
Depends on the one you get. The cx racing one lets you keep fog lights
