I LOVE that color, it looks great. I sprayed mine in the Dodge color "Sublime" and added holographic metal flake to the clearcoat. It was a real looker! Sadly haven't had the car in years and I regret selling it. It was my first car.
I'm a shade tree mechanic but have no exp with turbos. Looking to put one in my 2001 GT Spyder. I can do most of it myself just not sure how to get all the sensors and hoses. Nor do I know where to look as far as setting it up. Any thoughts?
Im just getting into car builds and mods. I have no clue what you did or how you did it. All I know is that I want to do it lmao The car looks great bro.
Dude the amount of work that went into this is fucking insane, and all under 6 months?!?! Your a monster, paint, electrical, mechanical, everything you did was primo man. Super super badass man. Lol I can’t get over it, just crazy. 🤘🏻🤘🏻 Your on another level dude 🤜🏻🤛🏻
And let the generation that loved 90's start saving all of them! Every generation restores cars from their hayday and I'm glad to see a lot of 90's cars getting saved and loved once more! Love it and gives me a little kick to get back on my 97 AWD and get her finished up!
people can buy a new car and put a 1k hp set up and it gets millions of views and thats no small feat, BUT THIS is the real content true car guys like and adore. amazing job bringing the old girl back with some tried and true sweat equity and knowledge!
You did an incredible job! You've actually motivated me to get started on restoring my 1st gen. The fact that you did this by yourself is nuts, you've got mad SKILLZ!
I just want to say that I greatly appreciate your dedication and devotion on your build bro. 🙏🏽 I always wanted this car as a kid but nowadays.. none are in good shape. 😞
nah wtf. why can't every car transform video be like this. the amount of shots and storytelling that went into this. it's actually engaging to watch. unlike one of those time lapse builds
Glad to see people are still trying to keep DSM's alive. First one I bought in high school back in 98 was a 5spd 96 GS. I ended up putting a turbo kit on it and eventually the trans gave out. So I sold it to a friend pretty cheap, When I was in the Army in the early 2000's I bought a 99 GSX, I dumped a lot of money into that car. In 05 I broke my back and was Medically Discharged from the Army. I sold my GSX during my recovery, to this day I regret letting that car go.
I would say one in this shape will bring about 10 to 15 thousand. A rough one that still runs will cost around 3 to 5 thousand. A decent condition car can be had for about 8 grand.
I do not know how youtube decided to recommend me this video... I guess because I keep watching those Forza gameplay videos :D Anyway, I know zero about cars. Im even bad at playing car games, but this video is awesome. This is pure magic to me. I cannot imagine doing this stuff myself. This video is a perfect example of a person who found himself in this life. So much respect for that!
Well this is another reason winning the lottery would be nice. Beautiful build, patience and upmost knowledge. Absolute bomb color choice and probably my favorite personally. I'm sure the price was a steal regardless for the new owner!
Ehhh idk about that, congrats on the new car but I’d suggest researching a little more on that AEM ecu, usually there’s either not enough support or you often get bugs. But if your tuner suggested it then probably get it, my personal opinion, go with haltech.
I'm glad you're enjoying it! The car does have an eprom ECU so you could get DSM Link much cheaper most likely than the AEM ECU. Also If you want a stand alone I would highly recommend Haltech!
Although this style build with the loud colors is never something I would do, the amount of time, planning, work, and perseverance in the build is nothing short of impressive. Very clean final product. I love the interior on the car. Very clean and functional. Well done!
Nicely done. Love that gen eclipse, especially the gsx. I can't imagine the amount of work to do all that, let alone in 4.5 months. It's always great to see people with that kind of passion for cars.
I remember seeing this car on marketplace. I was like "if it's there tomorrow I'm sending him a message". Sure as hell it was gone the same night. Absolutely regret waiting!!
Reminds me of my first car, a 1999 Eclipse GS OZ Edition with a 5 speed. It was slow as hell but it looked great. My dad has a body shop and we took the entire car apart and fixed the dents and dings, resprayed it "Sublime" which is a lime green Dodge color but the hood, roof, decklid, and spoiler were painted black to give it a 2 tone look. I also sprayed the stock wheels black and installed aftermarket halo headlights and tail lights. Back in the day I used to constantly get compliments on it. I miss that car. Thinking about finding it and fixing it back to the way it was.
Cool video man! I always loved the look of the Eclipse and the Talon tsi. My sister actually bought a 99 GST brand new.. Literally drove it home from the dealership. We all piled in to let my mom drive it and we ended up getting in a bad crash. 2 minutes from home. My sister was having a mental breakdown after owning the car for an hour. If I could find one in Ohio that didn't have rust all round the shock towers I would totally pick one up. I can see these bringing be money when we get older. The style is timeless to me.
Brooo you did an absolutely amazing job on this car I would have quit at the wiring tbh. Your end result was incredibly impressive thank you for sharing this with us.
Damn, homie..... looking at all those wiring makes my head hurt already. I don't have a clue how all that works, hell, I struggle hard just to change oil. Big props to you for all the work you put into this build.
Oh man oh man when I clicked on this video I got a 2022 Mitsubishi Eclipse ad. Lol the thing ain’t even a Eclipse, but THIS right here is a wonderful REAL Eclipse
Okay we'll leave you did that in less than 6 months no way I haven't even got mine done and I pulled the engine like 3 years ago. You must have plenty of money time and smarts to do all that I'm impressed!! Love it 😁
Miss my eclipse. Had a 97 RS about 20 years ago. Slow as hell but super fun to drive. Been thinking about getting another one, either GS-T or GSX. But as you said, good ones are almost nonexistent.
My fist sports car! 🙌 I learned stick shift just to buy and drive my GST 4G63. Good times. The Eagle Talon has the same engine and setup. These car were beasting back in their day☠
Props to you my guy! This was quite an undertaking. Restoring an iconic car to a pristine condition like this takes dedication, a big wallet, and a whole lot of time. 3.5 months is quite a feat! Enjoy the ride bro! You, and your car, definitely deserve it!
** ATTENTION! **
For everyone that said they want to see more of the car here's the full build th-cam.com/play/PLkLzjS5-NHqmB__7Ja1Sbzxq9RgRra2DH.html
I LOVE that color, it looks great. I sprayed mine in the Dodge color "Sublime" and added holographic metal flake to the clearcoat. It was a real looker! Sadly haven't had the car in years and I regret selling it. It was my first car.
Any chance you want to sell?
I'm a shade tree mechanic but have no exp with turbos. Looking to put one in my 2001 GT Spyder. I can do most of it myself just not sure how to get all the sensors and hoses. Nor do I know where to look as far as setting it up. Any thoughts?
pro trick : watch series on flixzone. Me and my gf have been using it for watching all kinds of movies lately.
Did you find it in the Box Of Awesomeness..
My man this is actually insane. The amount of knowledge and skill that went into this. The car is absolutely beautiful. Love it bro keep it up.
wish i had the skills....
I wish too. I’ve had 2 DSMs and haven’t got either to work
@Boosted B18B1 yep, millions to a billions not that many.... why the salts?
Well said
for real im jealous with that knowledge
This generation of Eclipse is absolutely TIMELESS
Bro, this was my childhood dream car right here, everybody sees this body style and feels nostalgic. It is, it's wonderful.
Though I really love the design of this old eclipse I just feel like I'm more into the newer eclipse design
Shame the Eclipse is now a crossover 😒
2nd Gen Eclipse was the best.
I agree the 2nd Gen was my child hood dream car. I have a 99 GST and at first had a 95 Non Turbo RS model.
You took the whole "built not bought" to the max. Thats one bad man right here. Big respect.
"I need NOS, Harry. The big ones, and I need it by tonight"
No Brian, I've seen you drive... you got a heavy foot.
Dude, I almost HAD you!
Classic.
One of my favorite lines LOL
Brian Earl spillner….sounds like a serial killer
Im just getting into car builds and mods. I have no clue what you did or how you did it. All I know is that I want to do it lmao
The car looks great bro.
lol just watched one of your vids
Wow I didn’t know you liked cars
same😂
Dude same
Same fr
Dude the amount of work that went into this is fucking insane, and all under 6 months?!?! Your a monster, paint, electrical, mechanical, everything you did was primo man. Super super badass man. Lol I can’t get over it, just crazy. 🤘🏻🤘🏻 Your on another level dude 🤜🏻🤛🏻
4.5 MONTHS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Holy crap bro, as watching this I was thinking it took you somewhere around 2 years to do all that. You sir are amazing.
Did this man just did the electrical, upholstery, paint job and mechanics 😯😯😯 👏👏 amazing
And let the generation that loved 90's start saving all of them! Every generation restores cars from their hayday and I'm glad to see a lot of 90's cars getting saved and loved once more! Love it and gives me a little kick to get back on my 97 AWD and get her finished up!
I'm almost 38 years old and these Eclipses ruled the streets back when I was in Highschool.
I’m 38 and I own a 97 GSX
Yup. All it took was one GST or GSX to break everyone off. Was nutty, every time.
This is by far the most gorgeous GSX I have ever seen!
people can buy a new car and put a 1k hp set up and it gets millions of views and thats no small feat, BUT THIS is the real content true car guys like and adore. amazing job bringing the old girl back with some tried and true sweat equity and knowledge!
Nice job man...the only problem with these “10 minute” vids is it doesn’t commute mountain of work that goes into a project like this. Much respect!
You are my Hero!!! What a build! And the color is on point
makes my brain hurt how much work you put in to this. fantastic!!! (former 95 talon awd owner)
As a former Eclipse owner, this video warms my heart. Beautiful piece of work. Thanks for sharing.
This inspired me to actually do my own body paint. Was debating on taking it to a shop but fck that. I have access to all the tools lol
Same. That paint has me in awe.
How did it go?
Man, what a great example of saving a car that is timeless in a lot of peoples memories. Nice work.
Man, thank you for doing this car some justice. So many of them fall victim to a horrible fate by hack jobs.
Even though I'm not a fan of the car itself, this earns a mountain of respect doing a rebuild out of your own garage and it turning out that nice.
Bro you absolutely killed it good job!! I wish the GSX was easier to find for sale
i wasn't crazy about this color when i saw the thumbnail, but ended up liking it in the end. This was extremely satisfying to watch, beatiful machine.
Badass build bro! It’s always nice to see a Dsm saved🙌🙌
Cody’s a genius. Been wanting to build a gsx forever and here’s the video..
Such a professional job, simply amazing.
nah wtf. why can't every car transform video be like this. the amount of shots and storytelling that went into this. it's actually engaging to watch. unlike one of those time lapse builds
Pretty sure I watched every single upload you did of this build! Very good work, I love your videos
Thank you for your support!!
That color was very bold. The finished product looks amazing. I would have said no to that color, and bam, you pulled it off. Amazing work.
In the feelz! I miss seeing this car on the channel. But I enjoy the new WRX content! Keep up the good work man!
I am beyond impressed.
Not just with the car but your talent and knowledge.
Beautiful car
Looks like a lot of love & know-how was put into this car that’s really dope. Great video 🔥
Glad to see people are still trying to keep DSM's alive. First one I bought in high school back in 98 was a 5spd 96 GS. I ended up putting a turbo kit on it and eventually the trans gave out. That car came out really good dawg!
Man, that ended up looking REALLY good for a driveway paint job! Seriously, nicely done!
Everytime I see a video like that I'm like: "where'd you get the money from and how did you learn to do this"
Built might have cost roughly $10k and was money I saved for years from my hard earned paychecks.
To be completely honest here... you did a really great job.
What is the value of a car, just like this one? Considering it's basically a "new" car after all the work that was put into it. Subbed
Unfortunately they almost always get parted out:( I've seen it happen to a lot of 2g's... just more $ that way.
I would say one in this shape will bring about 10 to 15 thousand. A rough one that still runs will cost around 3 to 5 thousand. A decent condition car can be had for about 8 grand.

Niceeeeee🔥🔥
Que lo pintes el tuyo de ese color dice
el Gus ya me vi con el eclipse que acaba de comprar
The 10 minutes don't give it enough credit need a 24 hour loop of raw power sounds🤙
I will literally pay you to redo the body and frame and paint on mine
I miss my gsx.
Should have never sold it.
Cool vid!
Absolutely insane how u go from bare bones nothing, to a complete masterpiece. I wish i could harness the knowledge to do that.
What color is that it's
Well this is another reason winning the lottery would be nice. Beautiful build, patience and upmost knowledge.
Absolute bomb color choice and probably my favorite personally. I'm sure the price was a steal regardless for the new owner!
Haha I love the car! It’s getting a new tune and AEM ECU soon! Thanks again
Also If you want a stand alone I would highly recommend Haltech!
holy shit man, the fact you did all that yourself is just insane, major props to you
It was clean!
Ive only watched this episode thanks to the youtube algorithm but awesome work! This man is a master!
it’s almost impossible to find these, what’s the best was to find a gsx?
GSX are pretty rare just keep searching
Although this style build with the loud colors is never something I would do, the amount of time, planning, work, and perseverance in the build is nothing short of impressive. Very clean final product. I love the interior on the car. Very clean and functional. Well done!
Nicely done. Love that gen eclipse, especially the gsx. I can't imagine the amount of work to do all that, let alone in 4.5 months. It's always great to see people with that kind of passion for cars.

Damn man! Sorry to hear that. I had it posted for one day and had about 200 people wanting to come see it. It was overwhelming!
@@StreetInspired1 I totally hear you there. That car was CLEAN. I had a 98 gst and missed it. First with cash takes it. Glad you got your money!
I can't even fathom how much time and energy it would take to build all this knowledge... I love you
Reminds me of my first car, a 1999 Eclipse GS OZ Edition with a 5 speed. It was slow as hell but it looked great. This build reminds me of my father and I back in the day. I helped pick this car with him at the dealership.
Your video about the tail lights inspired me to do the same with my 94 Ford Probe GT. Thanks men! Such a beaitufil car you have.
You pretty much made the car brand new again. Great job! Brian O’Conner is looking down on you from heaven and he is very proud of you. 😊
Brian O’Connor isn’t dead. Paul Walker is dead. Brian O’Connor will be in fast 9.
Brooo you did an absolutely amazing job on this car I would have quit at the wiring tbh. Your end result was incredibly impressive thank you for sharing this with us.
Every 90s tuner cars with manual Transmissions are super fun and timeless
One of the best build videos I’ve seen in a long time.
Wow. Came out nice. I like them color. Glad you took the old wiring harnesses out. I just bought a 95 Eclipse i plan on building
Car looks beautiful and clean, and then when the boost kicks in... Epic.
Mitsubishi GSXs and FTOs are the most underrated Mitsubishi sports cars. Like you can fit in an Evo engine to these bad boys lol.
Well done my dude. Not how I would have done a lot of things, but your knowledge and persistence paid off. Good job!
bro you should be proud of this! killer work, and it only took 4.5 months?? i wish i had the skill and knowledge to do that!
you built this car literally perfect. I honestly think you've made the eclipse one of my favourite cars now
Your painting skills are insane! The eclipse looks amazing!
Damn, homie..... looking at all those wiring makes my head hurt already. I don't have a clue how all that works, hell, I struggle hard just to change oil. Big props to you for all the work you put into this build.
Great job man. I'm a dsm guy and really appreciate the details. Clean 2g my guy. Enjoy.
very well put together. great job! no cut corners, took his time with everything and the details. just marvelous.
Wow I can't believe you did the project in 4.5 months, that's insane.
Jesus you literally did it all props man. Watching this makes me miss my 2g.
Why is that the cleanest eclipse I’ve ever seen
You sir are a Picasso 👌🏽😎 I am a woman but I am wanting to learn more about cars and the car community. Love the color ❤️
You blow my mind man. I know nothing about electrical and wiring in a car but you just do it all XD
Dude, kudos on all the hard work! That thing is CLEAN.
Fantastic work and colour choice. These are my dream from the 90s
Also kudos to your patience and knowledge to rebuild a car from such a starting point. I don't even wrench on my own FK8!
That paintwork is insane, all the years ive messed with cars ive never been able to do it. Amazing work
So clean, that interior came out flawless
This is easily the best eclipse I've ever seen. Great work.
I'm blown away with how good it looks!!!!!
Nice ride, always loved the late 90's Eclipse GS-T, or GSX. Much respect on this build.
Oh man oh man when I clicked on this video I got a 2022 Mitsubishi Eclipse ad. Lol the thing ain’t even a Eclipse, but THIS right here is a wonderful REAL Eclipse
Man thats gotta feel amazing taking it on the first successful drive. Good work!
What a beautifully transformed machine. A beast, without a doubt. Kudos!!!
That interior lighting is so dope, I might have to do something like that to my wrx
My WRX has similar interior lighting, did the front and back floors red to match all the red Dash lighting!
TLC went a long ways with this 👏🏿👏🏿👍🏿 good job bro
My buddy had this car and he built it up more, It was insane to see it in real life
I couldn't stop watching to the awesome editing to the bad ass car DSM for life !!!!
My fist sports car! 🙌 I learned stick shift just to buy and drive my GST 4G63. Good times. The Eagle Talon has the same engine and setup. These car were beasting back in their day☠
Bro...you are one talented young man. Props brother, well done.
Props to you my guy! This was quite an undertaking. Restoring an iconic car to a pristine condition like this takes dedication, a big wallet, and a whole lot of time. 3.5 months is quite a feat! Enjoy the ride bro! You, and your car, definitely deserve it!
Only 4.5 months?!? That’s crazy and you did an amazing job! I’m looking forward to watching your next build.
