Sick car dude. I’m an old man, had a gsx brand new in 99 when I joined the army. Loved that car. Had it at 340 whp by 2004 (which was impressive for the time!) Poor thing got totaled when an old lady ran a red light and tboned me. Bought an evo9 years later and would trade it for my old eclipse right now. 😂
I don’t have an Eclipse but I think these can all apply to my 3000GT. Got a brand new exhaust and race pipe ready to be installed. Really glad I found your channel. Keep up the great work man!
To go along with #2, IF someone has a GST/GSX, there is absolutely nothing wrong with the stock manifold for modest power goals, they're FAR better than cheap tubular manifolds. Cheap manifolds don't flow well, the welds crack, the pipe itself cracks and to top if off, they dump TONS of heat in the bay, melting fans, discoloring valve covers, melting dip stick handles and even discoloring the hood on some. If you're on a stock frame turbo, stick to cast. The FP cast manifold is a good upgrade for larger stock frame turbos, such as the FP Green/Red/Black...however with a smaller turbo such as the 14b/16g/20g, it will actually make the turbo spool slightly slower. Used to be an old saying "cast ain't fast", well my car is on a cast manifold and is nearing the 9 second range. Just things for new owners to keep in mind.
There is a VFAQ which has been established since the 1990s. Do the cheapest mods first: 1. Manual Boost controller 2. Open Air Filter like K&N 3. Down Pipe with No Catalyst Convertor 4. DSM Miguel what kind of front mount intercool do you have? What is the name of that fmic and how thick is the core?
Just bought an eclipse gs for 2,400 thanks stimmy 😂
Got a 97 GS-T spyder for 1800 and ran it with a hemi challenger...the paint looks like shit so he was pretty surprised to see a eclipse catching up..I love the car already
I bought an eclipse for my first car yesterday
I have done all of those, except tinted windows :D But I think I will do that in the future.
Tint looks awsome on these cars
I’m not tryna get pulled over tho
My first mod on my talon was to remove the fog light infront of the SMIC for MORE AIR FLOW! lol
