    I have 7 pair of the Stryke Pant, and I wash and dry with the pant turned inside out....helps tremendously with the fading, and premature wear look. Oldest pair is around 3 years old, and no durability issues. Worth the money, I think. Mike, another great review!

      Better also if you have a steam washer, gets extra clean w/o fading all your clothes with turning inside out.

    Been wearing these for years doing heavy civil construction work. They do wear out and are flammable but the comfort and the way they give your gouch a place to be is very comfortable. They also do really well in wet inviroments when wet they dry with body heat I'm in the PNW so I speak from experience.

    I love my 511 stryke pants. Very form fitting bag durable.even though it took me a year to actually realize they can take knee pad inserts they are the only series of pants I buy from 511 because of the quality. the stryke shirts are also incredibly good

    I bought a pair before this video and i truly enjoy them, they're a little heavy but better than jeans in the summer time. I've worn them on and off duty and I would recommend them to anyone and everyone. I use the AR mag spaces for ID holder and flashlights, they're really nice for just separating all the things I carry.

    One feature not covered in your review - the pants have a special pocket behind the knee on the inside for inserting knee pads. Great for tactical training classes, especially when you have to kneel on gravel or other hard-surfaces.

    • @itsunworldly
      @itsunworldly 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Do any knee pads work or do they have to be 5.11 kneepads?

    • @dashcammer4322
      @dashcammer4322 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@itsunworldly Good question. There are a lot of kneepad inserts in the 5x8-ish range that might work, the thinner ones at least. YMMV. If I was training or deploying on an expected exercise/mission where I expected to be needing kneepads, I'd probably use actual external hardshell kneepads to keep the pants from taking heavy abrasion, instead of using the neoprene or whatever soft thin pads that fit in the pocket.

    LOVE my Stryke Pants! In fact, I had the same pants on today, same color and everything!
    Warning on the Stryke shorts, they are NOT just the same as the pants but cut down. Most importantly, the waist is NOT expandable. There are some other differences with the pockets but the waist was my biggest issue. They're the same price as the pants, with less fabric and they couldn't even include the expanding waist? LAME. I have decided just to have my Stryke pants cut into shorts and then I can get a little extra length too.

    Man if any of you guys are on the fence about getting a pair of these pants just do it. I know an opinion coming from a complete stranger might as well be useless but these pants are worth the $$$. Very well made, plenty of pockets. ( the cargo pockets are amazing since you can store two AR mags securely as well as anything else you might want to.) first week I bought my pair of khaki stryke pants I got a big drop of blood on them which is expected working in a vet hospital. I simply took a paper towel and wiped the blood right off my pants... No smear or resemblance of a stain at all...simply amazing.

    Stryke pants are awesome! They fit far better than earlier 5.11 pants. Not sure who those were made for but they damn sure weren't made for me. The expanding waist is awesome for carrying. You can buy your pants in your normal size and have plenty of expansion room for your carry weapon. And they come in a 36" length for us tall bastards. I hardly wear jeans anymore. They're a little pricey but they hold up great.

Well when I want to iwb carry in my jeans I can’t because the jeans are fitted to my exact size and the handgun adds a inch or so depending on position I carry iwb. I can’t do appendix carry. It drives me crazy when I sit. I have a little gut. These pants have a stretch waistband built in on side. So when u add a iwb carry on your hip , it adjusts and it feels very comfortable. They look like a pretty good fitting outdoor/tactical pant, I don't have a place anywhere near by to try on the different styles and fits of all the tac pants out there..the nearest Gander is over an hour away and even then they only have a couple different styles of 5.11 pants. So my only option is buying off the net and its usually a crap shoot on whether they'll fit right or too baggy. I ordered a couple different pairs off of LApolicegear.com and it looks like they're 80's parachute pants on my stubby little legs!! I learned quickly it's worth spending the extra bucks on quality items. So I definitely appreciate when I find a good pair like this and can see how well they fit. Thanks for the video & info :)

    • @LastLineOfDefense

      Yeah, it's tough, because even within the same company, different models will fit differently. Just try to buy them from a place with a friendly return policy! That's why I buy so much stuff off amazon - much of the time (depending on seller) there are very easy/free returns.

    I bought some of these pants because of this video. I couldn't find the Ridgeline that he favors. :- / I'm happy with the Stryke pants.

    Is there a tactical pants that has an admin pocket that will fit a 30-rd AR magazine?

    I prefer the pants review on you instead of table top. It's difficult to see how they fit all the way the ankle when pants are on the table.Thanks for the videos.

    I also separte my items in shirt and pant pocket. Each one serves one ourpose so I don’t accidentally pull out an item and not notice it, especially inside the jail. Our work issued pants are Propoer and hve no stretch. So even when we bend down to pick something up or sit it is tight and you have to re tey at sitting or bending. They have no give and restrict the motion you are doing. Especially sitting I do not like feeling all the items in my pockets pushing into me. How do you feel in these 511 compared to other tactical or BDU pants? Thank you for the review.

    The AR-15 mag's also don't fit in those sidepockets, you can't close the pocket..look i have these pants and like em but i also want to be able to pickup something from the floor.

    Hey Mike!
    I was wondering if you have had problems with belt loops being in the way of the holster clips. My appendix holster has two clips and they seem to be perfectly spaced to be in the same position of my front two belt loops. It causes me to have to place the holster slightly to the left or right to make it fit but not quite in the sweet spot I want it in. I have this problem with most of my jeans. Any thoughts? Maybe a video? I actually do watch you pant reviews!

      Haha, yeah some pants have different spacing in those front few loops. It's actually a *small part of the reason I like running holsters with a single middle clip - I don't have to worry about that whole belt loop clip issue...

      I'll have to check em out! Hope the Leatherman is treating you well - but I doubt I will ever see a cent from Leatherman, much less a free anything from them, haha.

    Reviews on Amazon say that they wear out with each wash. How have you found the durability thru washings to be?

    • @LastLineOfDefense
      @LastLineOfDefense  7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I don't know that the durability has been affected by washings, but I do feel like they fade through washings - similar to most jeans. I'm guessing durability eventually would be affected by washings - because I think repeated washes affect the durability of all items of clothing.
