So... I actually wear the same pants every day, and when I say every day, I mean most days. Sometimes I wear shorts, or snow pants, and I do spend a fair amount of time testing out new pants as well - but every normal day, I wear these pants. It's nice because I don't have to think about the pockets, where to best put things, where to reach for my light when I need it quick, etc. If you haven't tried out the Vertx Delta Stretches, that's cool, but if you're searching for a solid pair of pants, I'd check em out.

Last Line Of Defense my favorite ones as well .. BUT the ones that say made in China fit better then the ones that say Bangladesh.. The bangladesh ones are a 1-11/2 inches bigger in every direction

Bought a pair of these a year ago when you talked about em. Since have tried a couple other including some more expensive Prana’s and these are easily the most comfy go to option I have. Good vid. Also like them because they don’t look obscenely “tacticool”

Those slender side pockets for a flashlight or tool are sweet. This explains how people can carry so much EDC compared to a regular 4 pocket setup. Will look at grabbing a few pairs of these.

These are my favorite pant. Comfortable, functional, all while looking clean enough to be dressy.
I just received my first pair of delta stretch vertex pants.... never ordered pants online before so I took a stab at my size, I wear 34/30 in carhartts so that's what I ordered. The fit is 100% perfect. Length is a little longer than say a LEVI 30 inseam, but only by maybe an inch which is perfect. The pants sit right over the top of my shoes while sitting down as opposed to riding 3 inches over the ankle (ready for a flood?) And the waist is perfect. Tight enough to wear without a belt, loose enough to carry a double stack iwb. You sir, deserve the highest of fives for your fantastic content and reviews. My only complaint about the pants is their color options on the website. Only shows a 1cm/1cm square of the color vs the whole pants. Thought I ordered a dark grey, ended up being a dark brown. Still like the color, so not that much of a loss. Still the most comfortable pants I've ever put on!

Hey Mike-my rottweiler had the TPLO surgery and it was the best thing I could of done for her. The healing process is long but you will have one happy pup.
Wishing Atreyu a speedy recovery! My dog had the same surgery and the biggest issue was keeping her from jumping around like there was no injury.

So, I wore Vertx for a while, and I liked them when new. My profession calls for me to go business casual at all times. My EDC firearm is a S&W Bodyguard in .380. I liked the Vertx, because I could keep the .380 in zipped pocket in a pocket holster.
Dislikes: Didn't feel they held up well, tendency to shrink in length, not really nice enough (according to the wife) to be considered business casual. Currently wearing IZODs, not enough pockets, but still pocket carrying in a pocket holster. I'm a big man, pants are 40x32, so all other pocket stuff is in left front, except wallet, right hip. Pockets look old man full (but I am an old man and I don't care). I carry a Leatherman Wave on a leather belt in a leather holster. My version of business casual can be anything from a tuck in sport shirt, to a dress shirt and light sport jacket, depending on the day.
Since you've tested all the pants, would you have a suggestion as to what might fit that lifestyle?

All I wear for work (electrician) are tactical pants (5.11 Apex, 5.11 Stryke, LAPG Atlas). I picked up 2 pair of the Delta Stretch on your recommendation a while back & these bad boys are my go-to for when I'm not at work. I also rock the 5.11 Defenders outside of work & love that mag pocket on the hip bc I don't like to carry my cell in my front pockets, but I still prefer the fit & feel of the Vertx Delta Stretch. If they had that back hip mag pocket they'd be beast.
Outside of work, unless I have a specific need for them (range, short hikes where I need to carry more on my person), I prefer no cargo pockets.

I wear the same pants every day too. Haha. Actually I have 3 pairs of the exact same pants. I keep the same things in my pockets in the same places and have since I was a kid. I don’t like to waste my daily decision capacity on less important things like what pants I’m gonna wear. 🤣

Yeah, same, I usually cycle thru 2 pants, with one extra if I don't get to laundry when I need to, I wear multiples of a lot of stuff, mostly black.

Great vid! I wear the defender flex everyday mostly the blue jean version. I just bought a pair of Kühl radikals yesterday, and they are sweet! I don’t think they are “tactical” pants but they are definitely for active wear and a perfect springtime-summer pant.

I really like the vertx delta stretch pants for many of the same reasons. I had a tailor add a key/coin pocket because I can't stand not having a pocket there. The only pants I like better are the magpul reflex pants, it's a real shame those got discontinued.

Propper BDU Trousers Button Fly 60/40 Twill are my go to. I too wear pants for days in a row with no issues. I'm hard on them at work, bushwacking off trail in woods and brush. At the price of $30 you can not go wrong.
Great video as always tho you need to have a chat with Vertx and get them shipping internationally. Here in Australia it’s near on impossible to find any of their gear without being charged 2-3 times msrp.
My favorite is Triple Aught Design TAD. Best pair of pants and absolute best pair of shorts.

I'll change them weekly unless I was out in dirt or something. Also I always only have one favorite/comfortable pair. And if lucky I'll have a second pair I don't mind wearing so much.

I have been hooked on the 5.11 Stryke Pants. I have several in the same color (battle brown) and they are my goto pants. Very comfortable with plenty of pockets and decent stretch. I just bought a pair during Christmas, after watching your vid. I've been looking for a go to pair of pants and I've found them. Dare I say these are the dude equivalent to yoga pants? Church, showing houses, the range, the office, I've even fallen asleep in them a couple times. These are legit. Agree, zipper hole could be a little lower but that's my only complaint. The pocket separation is something I have been wanting for a while now. I'm tired of trying to get at buried items.

I love carpenter pants because them lil leg pockets. The square pocket with slash pocket over it is supposed to be for levels and folding rulers but I find it keeps my multi tool, flashlight, and pen separated, but together. I usually cut off the hammer loop as it gets hung up on things too often. And I get mad when the manufacturer doesn’t put another small pocket on the hammer loop side as that is my extra magazine pocket for sidearm. I do have a custom made leather “organizer” for before said EDC’s, but I use it on my regular 5 pocket cowboy jeans. All of which, quick attaches to my edc backpack that makes it easy to grab and go with all my EDC’s together in one quick package that I can minimize per situation while driving to a destination.
Thought I was the only one! I wear the 5.11 Defender Flex pants every day. Highly recommend. Also LOVE the mag pocket for an iPhone X

I’m going to have to try a pair next winter. What’s your take on the 5.11 Stryke pants? I wear them for work. Once you break them in. They are super comfortable and that little give in the waist is great. Just wish they weren’t so tactical looking.

The Stryke's are pretty good, I wasn't as much of a personal fan of the Apex, but they're not bad. The Defender Flex are also pretty good for a significantly slimmer fit - borderline too skinny for my preference though.
I have a pair of these, but I prefer the 5.11 defender-flex pants. Similar style pant, but the fit is a bit better for myself.
I know not on the topic but finally got me that olight. They are short on stock on the size pants I want but as soon as there in a pair is mine
Is it safe to go down a size on the VertX Travail pants AND Delta pants considering the waist stretches a little?

Im wearing 5.11 defender flex slim at the moment. I know you mentioned it in your full review, but hows the fit compared to the delta stretch? Would you comfier the 5.11 your second fav?
The defender flex are a little skinnier throughout. They're up there in comfort though, one of the comfier I've tried.
How do these pants do in the cold as in like 0° to 30°F? I'm not spending large amounts of time outside, and if I do I add layers. I just wear jeans at work and have to do things like shovel, unload a truck, go to another building and get parts, etc and they handle some wind. I hate being warm, so I'd hate to have to wear another layer all the time and sit in an office with that extra layer.

What's interesting is I never found your channel from any of the "tactical" or gun stuff but from the overland/camping stuff before I got into this stuff myself.

I’m going to try a pair of these. I normally wear 32 30 and I go with 34 30 in Vertx pants, they seem to run small. Also I ordered a 34 30 in the Hyde pants and they were too big and hated that they didn’t have any cargo pockets. My go to summer pants ar e the 5.11 Apex, love em. Winter pants are the tru spec Ascent. Will be hard to dethrone either one of those pants.
