You can keep using it forever. It only cuts you off from model updates.
So this CR{919E and the CRP919X are both EU support only. It does not even come with a plug for USA voltage. You have to use the USB wall plug. Which is fine but for support you have to email overseas support. Have you had any issues with it not being able to update or connect with some US models?
Not at all. The software is the same world wide.
@FarpointRestorationsAndRepairs Ahh. I see. I called launch support USA and they said they don't support those. I would have to contact overseas support. But I guess it does not matter as long as it works. Do you know if it has the ability to disable 2022 Silverado auto shutoff/start?
I canceled the autel and ordered this one. Seemed like it had more to offer.

It doesn't show fuel trim/compensation in live/stream data , I have a mitsubishi outlander 2017, 2.2 diesel
It shows fuel trim on the gas versions.
So I can’t figure out how to send reports to my email. I share the report but it never sends it to me. Do you have this problem? I reached out to Launch US and they said this was a euro scanner and wouldn’t work well on North American cars and said I should buy one from one of their distributors. Matco, Cornwell, Napa and so on. I have used it a couple of times and it seems ok. Have you tested all the features to see if they all work? Any way keep us updated. Oh yeah, Launch USA also told me they do not sell anything on Amazon
Yes, I've used this feature and it does work. You'll have to set up the email in the "Shop Info" area. If you don't have a shop email listed there, it will not send.
I can't say I've used every single function, but for day to day use in a shop, this one works well.
Yes, these units are sold by Kingbolen. They are the global supplier of Launch products. The US supplier just loves to diss these units and refuses to do any tech support since you didn't pay them 3 times as much for the same unit.
I had a not so nice chat with them at the last automotive trade show I was at and we had..... Words over the fact that my Launch X431 s3pro is a better tool than the one they had for sale for 4K.
Reach out to the folks at Kingbolen for tech support, but be patient. It can take a while.

will it do a active test to demand max fuel pressure on the cp3 injection pump to test?for a 2005 gmc sierra 2500hd with a 6.6L duramax?if not do you know what bidirectional scanner will? thank you
I am not sure. I try really hard to avoid working on modern diesel engines. Purely mechanical diesels are so perfect in their construction, it's an abomination what they have done to them.
I want to reset the fuel additive sensor on my 2009 Volvo V70 1.6D with 109 horsepower, which is showing the P1932 error code. Despite filling up and replacing the additive tank, the car still indicates a low level of the DPF additive used for exhaust cleaning. I'm considering purchasing the LAUNCH CRP919X and would like to know if it has the capability to reset the fuel additive sensor in my car, since it's incorrectly showing a low level despite being filled. Can the LAUNCH CRP919X perform this sensor reset for my specific vehicle model?
That is a question I can't answer since here in the USA Volvo never stopped the sales of new Diesel cars in 1986. Sorry!

Thank you for the clip. I have the X version, this one is the E version but for whatever reason I still could not get it to register the new battery installed a few weeks ago on my X5 E70 series. Please can you help and guide me on how to?
The seller gave me two suggestions, through the reset section or the BMW software section. I tried both but still could not register the new battery. Otherwise it is a beautiful and useful device that every owner of modern cars that are filled up to the bumpers with all sorts of electronic modules should have.

Hmm. Is battery matching not an option when you get into that vehicle? I don't have a Bimmer here to test with, but it should be in the functions menu.
Does it have cylinder contribution tests like the Snap on scan tools for like the older Fords that won't throw codes for misfires?
Yup that would show up in the live data as misfire counters. You can pull all the cylinders up and watch the counter climb on the bad cylinder.
It has a Power Balance Function for some Ford vehicles that shows a live graph of all cylinder like the factory scan tool. On my 08 Edge V6, I could easily see the misfiring cylinder that wouldn’t set any codes.
Can you do coding like seatbelt reminder delete?
Yes.
I’m a DIYer as most of us are but I now own 2 ram trucks 10+ years old. I have a truck with trans issues and the other has ABS. This tool will do injector code programming as well as tcm relearn? What about ABS relearn?
It can do the ABS, I don't work with diesels much so I am not sure about the others.

This one seems to be about $465. Then I see another one called X431 V Pro that is $899. For the life of me I cant find the difference between the two. Do you know what the difference is?
Size is really the only change. Move up to the pro s3 and you get a full featured Lenovo tablet as well as the scan tool functions.
Is it bi-directional? Can it do balance rates for diesel injectors?
Yes, Bi-directional, but I am not sure about Diesel. I don't work on them often.

What is the difference between the Launch 919E and the 919X?

There is no difference, just depends on which Launch company sells it, and the XT version is the Bluetooth version.

they must have sent you an upgraded version because i watched this video, thought it was good and bought it. it is SO SLOW.
takes 2 minutes for automatic vin id, another 2 minutes to scan modules, another minute to connect to a module, another minute to connect to live data or whatever else. tried to use oil reset service function and after waiting 5 minutes it just provides a list of steps, like i could have just googled it and it would have been faster
my 5 year old autel was $800 and is still faster than this thing. It does have decent features like the recording of all live data instead of just the screen, and i like the way the graphs merge.
if you are going to use this in a shop environment don't waste your money but it would be good for a diy thing
Sorry to hear that. This one was not like that at all. Much faster than my old OTC Genysys.
I agree, this tool can be painfully slow when initially connecting to a vehicle with many modules. It’s hit-or-mis with what it can do for diagnostics. On a 2018 Accord, it only had one data PID for the entire HVAC system, which was disappointing. The electronic steering system on the same Honda had more data PIDs than I knew what to do with or could understand. I was surprised how many things it could do on an older late 90’s Jeep. Still, a very useful tool for the price, but I probably wouldn’t use it just to do a quick code scan because of how frustrating it is to wait while it initially connected.
