I'm a 05'02" female and my first motorcycle was the Fat Boy. My inseam length is 29/30 for jeans. I was nearly flat-footed on it and kept everything stock. I sold it after many years and bought a Sportster 48 so that I could feel more confident when riding downtown. I lifted the seat height on the 48 almost 2 inches and placed drag bars on it and I am still flat-footed. I bought a new street glide special as better bike for longer rides. I plan on keeping that stock height as I only needed a new seat to help me reach and stay on ball of foot. Yes, shorter people can definitely ride HDs 🙂

I’m vertically challenged 😂, 5 ft 6,,, I had a Heritage, and was fine, flat footed no problem, but recently got a Street Glide, I’m flat on left, tippy toed on right, I love the comfort of the original seat, so after a little research, I found Mean City Cycles does seat shaving, it is very reasonable ($200), what do you think? Shave original or try the reach seat? Ride safe! Joe
"Sales people don't have all the knowledge", goes in the opposite direction too. My sister is 4' 8" and the sales people PROMISED they could get her on the bike. They could not. They sold her a 2021 Softail Standard and lowered it and she got the lowest seat possible; dropping it a total of 3 inches. Her feet were STILL 4+ inches off the ground. So, "too short"? DEFINITELY! Just sayin'

I’m game for either direction that works! Only downside of shaving is little less comfort for long rides. Congrats on the street glide!!
