Monado Armor was the most overpowered art in the first game, and it remains hilariously broken in this one.
Really? I hated Monado eater more. I was so hard to do a stage 3 combo because of that

I remember this fight very well, how I was gonna go in and kick Malos's ass to the other end of the cloud sea... and then:
"Monado Cyclone!"
I froze, I thought "There's no way he said that," Ealier i saw that sword of his but i thought nothing of it, then:
"Monado Jail!"
And that's when it clicked, the powers of destruction and future sight, they reminded me of the monado for a reason, and when the Architect all but confirmed the fact that Mythra/Pyra and Malos are like Alvis, conduits for the monado, I had a mental shutdown at that point, just thinking about all the events of both games.
For me it was vice versa once I beat DE
It's more the other way around, Alvis is an Aegis, conduits for the Zohar
Malos showing up with a MONADO of all things was surprising enough. But Nia and her development and powers were even better here. She practically no-selled his new destructive powers and almost killed the main bad guy right here. It's rare you see the HEALER take out a main bad so effectively like that. Nia is just awesome.

Remember, kids: "Aegis" and "Monado" means the same.
So not only Malos has/is a Monado, but Mythra and Pyra too.
You will understand better after playing Xenoblade 1.
When I saw Malos wielding his own Monado, I flipped my shit. That's when I started piecing it together, especially since the game shows you that one scene just before this (you know the one i'm talking about).
They did an excellent job of making you feel outmatched here.
You are facing fighting against the power of a Monado after all, now I know how all those enemies from XBC1 felt XD
Nia been awesome this chapter. This chapter is not JUST trying to get Pyra/Mythra back, but developing Nia. I love this chapter and it gave me more of a reason to love Nia, and feel so bad for her. Now the question is... Was it HER choice to become a Flesh-Eater, or was it forced upon her? The story never states it.

Wasn't about them already knowing; it's the fact that we all just assumed that 'flesh' was like a hand or something relatively minor... not the damn beating heart.

i didnt think think of it as a kenshiro reference. I like to think of it as a Nemu reference from bleach. Cause she used her regen to basically give malos a form of accelerated cancer and almost killed him. And very well should have if wasn't powered up by then.

Problem is that other than having the Monado they don't really fight alike at all nor to they have similar body types. They could still make it work but it would be a bit strange. Though on another note, depending on how you look at it Shulk is already an Evil Monado user or rather "The Monado" is.
@@marche800 I can see how that can be a problem as I have a similar problem with Dark Samus being an echo fighter but I feel like it is the best we got in terms of echo ideas for Shulk.

@@oscaridbeidb I’m pretty sure it’s the same Monado Shulk has. The reason it can’t we’ll see into the future is because the XC2 world doesn’t have ether as the main source of life for everything. It’s still probably equally destructive since it’s main gimmick is probably anti matter.
The way Malos fell in the void reminded me so much of Mumkahr's end...
It possible to avoid monado eater by running from it before the attack starts, you can also prevent the shackle by putting an ice orb in malos, this helps keep the affinity of the blades high.

What Nia did is kind of messed up in an awesome way. I just wish the cutscene showed him expanding more, like maybe his face or something.

It kinda shows that Nia is a powerful character, and has the power to possibly kill the Aegis/Malos.

I'm stuck on this boss, i really need to level up a bit
Getting through the Cliffs of Morytha was an absolute pain, with the terribly narrow Terrain and enemies that knock you off, it wasnt fun
And when Malos somehow fell into the hole with monsters in the arena and Refused to come back out, i legit rage quitted, glad i continued the next day cuz everything after this fight is peak JRPG.

This game would've been much shorter if Nia secretly gave every enemy we encounter cancer
Problem: Malo's can reduce blade affinity
Solution: Use blade combo ASAP and focus on reaching level 2, then use Fusion Combo instead of instead of trying to go to level 3 and end up not being able to reach even level 1 when Malos reduces blade affinity

Veron Singh I think I only beat this on my first try because I accidentally over leveled myself earlier in the game with quest exp because I had no idea how the levels would build as the game went since it was my first time.

Malos took Vanham head on leading to the ally of Rex and friends' sacrifice, but now Rex and Nia gave it their all to defeat the berserker of Torna so they'll see if Pyra's still alive.
this boss fight is neigh impossible.
Man, I did this fight with rex only at lvl 50, nia at 51, and morag at 53 I think. Strategy is key
This was hard but the next one is the nightmare
For the people that can't pass a bossfight is easier by using Nia with 3 healer blades and healing the team all time that they need
Yeah it is way easier like this, but still, if you can do it with nia as blade it feel a little better.
Wait! What?! My game must be bugging because for whatever reason ever since i set Nia as my blade it only lets me fight along side one other character not two and now it only has me fight by myself someone heellllllp

I keep forgetting that all the VAs are from Europe not from America (some sound American but I'm not sure if they're actually American) and Malos is voiced by a Norwegian.

I got Malos to like 1hp and died
if your struggling with this fight then head to mine elevator 2 in mor ardain upper level. Here there are lvl 60+ enemies but if your much lower dont panic these guys are no malos so defeating them is like taking candy from a baby. These enemies give around 500-3000xp as well as a lot of WP for skills and SP for abilities. After leveling up a few times ensure you have some dessert items in your pouch naricapar jelly is a good shout. I would use Rex with Nia, Morag with Brigid and Zeke and Pandoria. I started this fight lvl 52 and got shredded. Then the lvl grind at mine 2 and the use of naricapar jelly got me through and made a difference. I was lvl 60 in the end. One more thing fight depends on RNG (Random Number Generation) My first fight lvl 60 got killed second time RNG went my way so bare this in mind. Now the last fight of chapter 7 proses a challenge for me but a few more lvl grind and some good RNG and i'll be golden. Hope this helps people.
Yummy Scrummmy I came back SPECIFICALLY to say thanks man! I was on the end of my tether, side missions are a bit tiresome with the blade talent requirements and was looking all over for a good grind spot. This is area is too good to be true.

Probably the 3rd hardest fight in the game besides Giga Rosa and the boss right after this.

I’ve been making my chain attacks extend with the Elemental Burst and such. It does a load of damage but sometimes it’s still not enough.
Usually, it deals a lot, but it’s because I used it too early and he still gets left with some HP

When Rex and the group go to find the third sword, the one that he apparently Addam couldn't control because it was too strong you actually find it, but it crumbles away into dust and Rex gets a vision of a space station. But they haven't spoken of any space stations so it's likely that this is actually Meyneth and Zanza/Klaus's Space Station. The same one that they conducted the experiment that destroyed their world and made a new one. But it's said that the 3rd Aegis left, Alvis works like an Aegis. He's able to do similar things to both Mythra/Pneuma and also to Malos. Alvis gives Shulk the ability to read the ether to see the future just like Mythra can for Rex.
Alvis is also referred to as the monado, similar to how an aegis's blade is just called the aegis but so are they. With the tie ins being that Malos's blade is the same shape as the Monado from XC1 and not only uses Monado Arts but also uses similar skill naming outside of that "Striker Edge" being the example where Shulk had "Shaker Edge" and "Stream Edge". I honestly think Alvis could be the third Aegis. He was able to read the future, so it's likely he saw what would come to pass and jumped ship with Meyneth and Zanza/Klaus.
Especially after the MASSIVE SPOILER that is the end of this game.
Cynthia Alvis is not the third Aegis. He’s the World Tree itself.

To me this fight was easy. I was demolishing Malos with Nia. Until he fell down the hole at the entrance and I had to follow him. The monsters there killed my party and I soloed him with Rex vut Was killed when he had THE TINIEST SLIVER OF HEALTH. This same thing happened 2 times until he finally decided to stay at the other end of the run and couldn't fall...
This game is so long, no one has made an all bosses vid yet.

Screw this fight. Right before I was gonna beat it the first time, Malos yeeted me into the hole where I got picked apart by those stupid monsters inside.
I found this fight quite easy I used Morag as rank nia healer and use zeke as pandoria and two healers zeke was 52 as well as morag and nia 50, did it on normal difficulty hope this helped

I actually thought this boss fight was unreasonably hard. It wasn’t until AFTER I beat it and when I faced malos and Jin that I could include and disclude party members and realized I actually BEAT this fight with only two party members
Yeah sorry guys, I had this immense power I was just not using for no real reason other than some vague unease with revealing that I'm a blade among my friends who are mostly blades, half blades, blade eaters or flesh eaters. Guess I could have won us a lot of fights, stopped a lot of people from dying and probably prevented this whole Pyra incident from happening. oh by the way I can also just infect you with orbs that make your body explode, probably should have used that at the start of the fight. Sorry guys.

I mean, it's pretty silly, but Nia had no chance to heal Both Vandham or Haze/Fan la noire, It's fair to say Nia can't bring back somebody who died five minutes ago, 1 is fine, but 5 means brain-dead. The thing I love the most about this is how Nia’s powers of healing are actually taken seriously. Maybe it’s just me, but most stories don’t give that type of thing the respect it deserves. But here Nia, the ultimate white mage, say no. I don’t care how great your capacity for destruction is. You are Sisyphus, and I am your fucking boulder.

@@501sttrooperbmc2 well you can make the argument that Pneuma also has a Monado as her sword has a ring in the same place where he Monado ring is. Also Meyneths sword is also referred as a Monado but it doesn’t have the circle with symbols but a triangular shape.
Malos said Monado!? How's that even possible!? Where's Shulk when you need him for his actual Monado action? His visions, arts, and Monado arts could definitely help Rex and his friends.

Jason Giguere Nope, the second i saw Malos with a Monado i knew i was fucked.
I've been leveling for 2 days straight now with a pretty good grindspot.. I got my units all at lvl 57 now and I still can't win. This is really hard. I tried so many different teams now and don't have a chance. Every time I could launch a stage 4 attack he uses this damn disharmonic shit and I can't launch it. I can't use chain attacks because when I launch those he kills one of my team and I can't revive him. No Pyra/Mythra, no stage 4s, no chain attacks, no throw down/throw up/smash down (I don't know how they call it in the English version, but I guess you know what I mean) combos because Pyra was my only character to throw opponents down after Nia/Dromarch used the attack to inflict break.. I'm desperate. :D
My man, if you have any trouble with this fight you are not going to have a good time with the next one at all.

Tbh I had more problems with this battle than with all the others until the end..
Huh. I beat Malos 1st try but was stuck on Malos&Jin until I switched to double-healer tactics (I didn't even have one designated healer for Malos). I also couldn't beat...
...Ghost Mòrag at all until I cheesed the fight by getting her stuck behind a fence.
On my 2nd playthrough I beat all of them quite handily, though. It's amazing what a little experience with the battle system can do.
