First few WILD FL/GA Quail hunts of the 23' season!

Welcome back ya'll in this video I'm going to run through of the first few hunts of the season! We've had some strange encounters this year but the season is starting to turn around and we're having a great time. Is your dog snake broke? Mine grabbed a quail out of a gopher hole on training day. Now she checks them.

I’ve never done any formal snake avoidance but I’ve had encounters in the woods and stimulated the dogs when they were near the snake. I have seen wild birds go in gopher holes this year so I don’t really know the solution to keeping them out of them. I’m just careful when I get in an area with a lot of them.

Thank you, it’s been a little tougher than normal down here this year. Conditions seem to be super dry.

@@countincoveys Agreed! I went to the Barbour County WMA and put in about 12 miles and didn't find any birds. Rough day!
