I think Imus was an incredible talent, much more so than Howard Stern. Not only could he do funny bits, he could also carry on an educated conversation with a senator or CEO of a large corporation. He was educated and informed, and downright funny. Yes, Howard was funny but more so on a junior high school level. I have to admit though that this bit was funny. I'm quite sure he gave Kevin, the program director a heart attack when he put this on the air!
And Imus had the #1 morning radio show in New York…until Scott Shannon and now Elvis Duran on Z100 came along (that station would send Don and WNBC to #2).
6:44 The late Wendell Craig (aka the voice of Nickelodeon) v/o for Newmark and Lewis.
Imus and Stern together was a RARE occurrence ...lol
Imus was almost a semi-regular on Stern show in 1984- used to drop in a lot- recall he was in the Stern "2010" parody around same period
1984 12/11 Don Imus, Janie the Cleaning Women, "Ringo Starr", "Lou Ferrigno")
And Robin Quivers as “Richard Dawson”.
RIP,Don Imus.

I liked both. My dad loved Imus. I was more Howard, but I definitely enjoyed Imus too.
