I subscribed to you a long time ago, but I couldn't find you after the ID changed. Finally, I heard a voice that I miss. Glenn, you are still cool. ps. My old ID is James
Thank you Dave! This was such a great project, a real master class in how to write and record. It's such a shame that Adam Schlesinger died in the midst of the Covid Pandemic. He was really something. I hope you are doing well, Dave! - Glenn
Glenn -- just LOVED the movie and am still so surprised it wasn't a box-office hit. It should have been! And don't even get me started about how "That Thing You Do" somehow didn't win the Academy Award or Golden Globe for Best Song. A travesty! I guess I'm musically just still stuck in that magical '64-'66 era...but I wouldn't have it any other way. As always...FANTASTIC and flawless cover. Please keep them coming!
Hi PF5! Thank you so much for your comments. I feel very much the same way. I loved the movie, too and all its innocence. And I loved the music, as well. I'm glad you thought I did well with this cover. Diving into this was like a master class! I hope all is well for you! Take care, - Glenn
Awesome job. Keep up the good work. Did you use a backing track for this one? What Gordon Lightfoot songs have you not done? I love your cover of ode to big blue. That was very well done. I also like your cover of Minstrel of the Dawn.
Thank you for listening, Amanda. No, I did not use a backing track for this. I played all the instruments except for the drums, which I programmed using the EZ Drummer plug-in for my computer recording system. I'm glad you thought I did okay with this. I hope you are doing well. - Glenn
@ you're welcome. That is so cool that you did the guitar work, and used a drum kit on your PC. Have you ever heard of something called reaper? That's what I'm using to do my recording nowadays. I'm doing OK though. Things are well. How is your Mrs.? How are you doing? my mom was asking me what type of engineering you did.
@@fluteplayer8636 Hi Amanda, Yes, I have heard of reaper, though I don't use it. I use Cubase and for my drum programs I use Toontrack's EZ Drummer. My wife and I are both fine, doing well. I hope you are, too. I am a mechanical engineer, though I have been retired from full time work since 2016. - Glenn
@@glennwillow5124 wow. That's so cool. Mechanical engineer. I'll have to tell my mom. Do you know if the programs you use are accessible with jaws for windows? It's a screen reading program for the blind and visually impaired. I use reaper, but I also use audacity sometimes, as well as the Voice Memos recorder on my phone.
@@fluteplayer8636 Hi Amanda, I use Cubase and EZ Drummer with Windows, but these programs cost money. Something like Audacity is free so there is that benefit. I use what I use because my son uses Cubase and EZ Drummer and I figured if I had trouble, he could bale me out. And he has helped me a few times. Sometimes using what you are used to is the best way. So maybe sticking with Reaper and Audacity makes the most sense for you. Learning this stuff takes so much time and effort. Take care... - Glenn
Graet! Professional!
Thank you Pepe! It's always great to hear from you! Hope you are well! - Glenn
Great job, pal!
Thank you! And thank you for watching and for the kind words. I hope all is well for you. - Glenn

Just love it!
Thank you Sandy! It's good to know you are listening, thanks for taking time to comment. I hope all is well for you. - Glenn
Excellent Glenn, so well played, singing and all the editing... perfect result 👌
