      Nutrition or diet plan should be customised according to an individual's lifestyle, calorie requirement, activity levels, BMI etc. So would not recommend a generic diet plan. I would only say make healthy choices. Will try to give you some general tips in upcoming videos :)

    Hey Nice... Useful to everyone, not only dancers.
    I never thought I had so much balance till I tried these. (Of course not as much as a dancer... naaa... not possible if I start at my age).
    I did toe walks... 😁
    You already taught us Tree pose earlier. I keep doing that once in a while.
    Single leg lifts ... hmm.. can do ... but not horizontal to ground.
    Warrior III pose.... can you believe it ( I coundn't .. at first), I came almost horizontal to ground !!!
    Standing Toe fold .... no not the big toe, but max upto shin ...yes. Top edge of the chair? I do it every single time after I come back from a cycle ride.
    T Stand with Hinge... OK... can do somewhat.. Not perfectly of course.
    Natarajasana is doable !!! 😁.... Garudasana? It looked like the snake territory fight we saw other day. (Naa.... I can't do justice to this one. Tieng all the limbs into knots !!! 🙈)
    Half moon pose.... I do the Lunge after each ride. This is an extension and I did it.
    Standing figure 4 - Totally doable.............. And the tip is fantastic. Look at a point on the wall... we get better balance.
    Very good additions to the exercise regimen. May be these help dancers for balance, but they help everybody to flex and exercise in various positions.
    Thanks for all the Demos. Congratulations to the Photograchar. 😍

      Maya v. Manikkkuttan... get in touch with a good orthopedician. If the professional specializes in sports issues, it's still better. You can't conclude it's because of age. I am 61 - not a dancer, I am a cyclist. I don't have any such pains so far. Check your medical condition. If necessary, thru a physiotherapist. Then come to you a conclusion. Pls don't just jump to conclusion that it's because of age. Many times faulty posture also causes pains. Consult your guru also. Wish you all the best.

      There is no hard and fast rule that you must follow this. But since you asked, I will share my routine.
      I'm an early riser. I wake up by 5:30 AM. Finish my workout first thing in the morning. The time varies between 45 mins - 1:30 hours depending on what I have planned for that day. And there is no definite time for dance practice. Sometimes it is 2-3 hours when I have a show, sometimes it is 40 mins-1 hour. So it varies depending on my schedule. I have noted down your suggestion. Ty :)

    hey akka! thank you so much for this video! would you mind making a video on how to achieve the dance poses like the "dancer pose", or the pose where you have to reach your leg to your arm, i have been stretching daily but unable to see improvement in the poses. thank you!!

    • @suravisivakanugula6715
      @suravisivakanugula6715 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      its the pose that you did for your thumbnail (that i would like to achieve) like i stretch consistently especially focusing on my hip mobility but i see no improvement in that pose. so what would be a good stretch routine to follow everyday for faster results obviously with more time spent stretching.

    • @PratibhaKini
      @PratibhaKini  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is difficult for me to teach/suggest through a single comment. I recommend following a routine similar to th-cam.com/video/OqR2a7UHlGY/w-d-xo.html to work on mobility and doing some drills specific to the pose itself.

      @@krismaly6300 well, as far as I know, dancer's pose is the English name for natarajasana. And whatever you called "Urvashi Asana" is Vrukshana or the tree pose. Yes I have tried closing eyes while doing this. Also, any balancing pose gets difficult when you close eyes because there is no focus point to concentrate on. This is one of the techniques my yoga teacher would make us do in class to improve balance and it is for advanced practitioners.

    Dear Pratibha ji, I am not able to balance in Natrajasana n Garudasana. Is there any kind of variation I can start with in this n then come to asana?

    • @PratibhaKini
      @PratibhaKini  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      In Garudasana it is ok to not wrap the leg around if that is creating instability. You could gradually get into the final pose with practice. Get your thighs one above the other initially and learn to balance. Similarly with Natarajasana - scale down the pose, try to balance. You could also do Vrukshasana/ tree pose and other poses initially :)
