    You have no idea how long i have been searching some professional help on fitness and 'how to' for classical dancer's. Their are videos for ballet dance exercises but not much on indian classical dances. You are a big HELP! Thank you for opening this channel 🥺🥺🥺🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽✨✨✨✨

    Lot of people end up with back pain unnecessarily by neglecting to strengthen the core. These are slightly advanced exercises for those people who can do your earlier ones on warmup, strengthening and for back pain. If people who can not do those try these, ..... god help them.
    Anyways I tried all of them. To my utter surprise I could do each one. (Not in a perfect pose and NO... not for 40 seconds. One or two rounds of each exercise). That left me drenched in sweat, core muscles paining and entire body trembling. But it's worth it. Test given at the end shows my core muscles are engaging. I am reassured.
    Deadbug is easy, Plank hip drop needs some basic cores strength and flexibility, Boat pose is physically demanding, Knee to opp elbow needs flexibility and balancing, Scissors is good workout, Plank with spinal rotation is the most tricky. Anyone without basic core strength and balance will definitely fall. ( I didn't fall though I did stumble - Hey at my age and life style, that's pretty good. I know it. No certificates necessary) . Leg tuck in again needs balance, Plant to alternate toe touch is nice, Bicycle clutches and Plant rocks are good exercises.
    On the whole super set of exercises to keep the core muscles fit and flexible.
    Most important muscles we need in cycling are these plus the leg muscles. These will help me a lot.
    Hey thanks to your videos, I am learning newer and newer exercises. Though I won't be able to do all of them daily, I am sure doing each one in turns will definitely increase overall fitness.Thanks for all the exercise.
    Videographer is doing a good job with frugal means. Very nice of him. Though he has some GAS problem, Lockdown seems to have kept him in control. Ask him what GAS means

Sending you love and hate to make my core burn lol.I am planning on combining this workout with your glute routine twice a week to get a strong core.The nonplank exercise made my core burn whereas the plank exercise made my core held tight. Nicely designed routine!!

    Please make a detailed video about body core fitness for bharatnatym. 🙏

    • @PratibhaKini
      @PratibhaKini  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Well, I do not think I understood the question very well. What is body core fitness?
      As per my understanding, be it a Bharatanatyam dancer or a Mohiniattam dancer or an athlete, core exercises are common for all of us. We need to stabilise and activate core for all kinds of movements while dancing and these are some effective exercises for the same. I have tried to cover all the major muscles on the abdomen in this video. You could check exercises for back, hips and spine in few other videos. Glutes and pelvis exercises are on the way. To understand what actually is core watch th-cam.com/video/WF1qS589fvc/w-d-xo.html section of video. Let me know if I did not address your query.

    Hi Pratibha. I started having little abdomen pain the next day after doing this routine. Is that normal or did I do something wrong?

    • @prabithabalasubramanian1153
      @prabithabalasubramanian1153 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      As well as lower back pain

    • @PratibhaKini
      @PratibhaKini  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@prabithabalasubramanian1153 If it is soreness, it is normal. As long as the pain is not internal and not a pinching pain, it is okay. It means you worked the right muscles. But if it is not an external pain, you might be doing it wrong.
      Lower back pain may be because your other core muscles are not strong enough(as mentioned in the video-back is also part of "core") and it is taking all the load.
      Next time observe which exercise is giving you lower back pain and do the modified version. Also to begin with, do lesser number of sets or reps.

    • @prabithabalasubramanian1153
      @prabithabalasubramanian1153 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@PratibhaKini @Pratibha Kini thank you for your prompt response Pratibha. My abdomen is definitely just sore. My lower back pain feels little more severe. Will follow the modified version as you say.
      How often in a week do you suggest I do this ? I really want to improve my core strength

    • @PratibhaKini
      @PratibhaKini  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@prabithabalasubramanian1153 It depends on how well your body is able to recover from soreness. If you are a beginner, do it twice a week. It is best to not work on same muscle over and over again before it recovers. It might lead to injury. Take it slow. You could increase the frequency as you get stronger.

    Thank you so much for this. I entered the peri-menopause and start losing hair and gaining tummy. So I know I will have difficulty as I progress in bharatnatyam. Your exercises will surely help me. I have a question please. Do you take one-o-one or all-students-at-same-level-group classes? Online classes I mean.

      Yes, I do conduct online (group) Bharatanatyam classes.

    Hi Prathiba,
    How often these strengthening exercises should be performed?

    • @PratibhaKini
      @PratibhaKini  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Workout in general, you could do 3-5 times a week. This exercise video in particular, depends on intensity, your fitness level... Every alternate day or twice a week in general is good enough.
