I’m a baby Christian who has read 10 or so books in the Bible, currently studying Acts. My journey begun while I was practicing Buddhism and had watched Peterson’s biblical lectures.
This was about 4 years ago. Progress stalled, and time continued. Met my wife over a year back, and told her I was searching for truth. She wanted the same path.
We begin to read together, starting with Exodus. We’ve now read Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Matthew, Colasseans, Romans, and now Acts. I heard of you two years ago, and the first TH-cam link I sent to my then-girlfriend, was a sermon by you, about digging into the darkness to find treasure.
Since reading more of the Word, my eyes have opened. The word comes alive in me and I’ve experienced such deep love and gratitude.
I’ve begun listening to more Word on Fire and the journey is beautiful. Bishop, you have a talent and I want to give you thanksgiving, you’re a Diamond to this world

Bishop Barron you inspire me daily to live closer to the lord❤ Im not catholic (although I probably should be) your videos have taught me more about the Bible than all of the years Ive gone to church have. Thank you for your service to Christians and curiousbelievers alike.
If anyone is here, I’m begging for prayers for severe physical pain & severe nausea. Due to this sudden extreme nausea today, I can’t eat so I can’t take my meds & I can barely drink. Most of my family is down with severe cold, sinus infections & some with pneumonia. One of them is going to bring me some grapes & jello cups in the morning to see if I can eat that & take my meds or I’ll have to go to the hospital for IV nausea meds. I’m usually used to poor health & pain, but today & tonight I’m in the most misery I’ve been in in years. Please pray I can fall asleep & sleep through most of this until I can get some relief.

Unfortunately numbers are hugely falling in the west, people have left the catholic church in droves, the young are not buying into catholic church dogma. Im not sure this is just throwing money away on a pointless exercise
ALL THINGS COME FROM GOD, EVEN JESUS:
In John 16:27, Jesus tells us that all who loves him and believes he *came forth from God* belongs to God. Verses prior, in John 16:25 Jesus says he will *show us plainly the Father* and that the Father loves all who believe Jesus came from him. Jesus came from the beginning of all things: GOD. God the Father was always here, self-existant and eternal. God made the commandment and Jesus created it using the power and spirit given to him by his Father. Jesus came from God, and he is eternal as well. Jesus himself is the beginning over and beyond all mankind/flesh and no thing was created without Jesus (John 17:2).
They are both the first and the last: God the Father is the beginning of all things and Jesus is the beginning of all creation. It is God who shall make the last judgment through his Son. The Father and Jesus started this Earth age together and will end it together, for they are both the alphas and omegas (Isaiah 44:6, Revelation 1:8).
We must remember Jesus’ words to the Father: you are the only true God (John 17:3), and that the Father gave Jesus life (John 5:26).
