- We conclude 2023 with the Feast of the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph; and in today’s gospel, we hear the narrative of the presentation of the Child Jesus in the temple.
Based on Saint Luke’s description of the event, the family of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph can be considered devout. They followed the Law of Moses: The Child Jesus was circumcised and, as firstborn son, was “consecrated to the Lord.” They also offered a pair of birds as a sacrifice at the completion of the purification ritual. There they met Simeon and Anna who spoke highly of the Child Jesus.
Friends, as we put this year to close, let us invite our family to reflect. How did we observe God’s Word and the teachings of the Church this past year? What paths is the Lord indicating for our family to tread?

Thanks God. It feels so good to hear from you again on this TH-cam channel which I suddenly had my hands on after our local Mass here in Samoa of the Holy Family Feast 2023. Its been 14 months now since our last encounter in PNG for the 2022 Oceania Caritas annual conference when you and your team were there at the same time and then had the opportunity to visit us at the meeting venue with Carinal Mafi Soane Patita. Thank God for that.
Beautiful reflection Your Eminence Cardinal Tagle. An extraordinary spiritual guide for each family. Families in chaotic relationship of many reasons. The Holy Family is the best Feast the Church has set up to end an annual journey of every family of the world. The gospels of the annunciation and presentation of the child Jesus Christ command man to find favor with God and become collaborators of God's plan wherein nothing is impossible

O Lord God, in exultation our hearts go out to you and your revelation of heaven, your revelation of the Spirit, who can fill our hearts so that we remain steadfast throughout our earthly life. It is still dark on earth. Sin and death hold sway, but we stand unafraid and seek repentance. In spite of all our failures we look to you and know you are our Savior. You send us Jesus Christ in your own glory. The world will be filled with light. I am very sad to take note that the word expo,ed of Cardinal Tagle cannot be collaborator of the plan of God to save the world from Satan's power

Because of my work in the vineyard,I most humbly and respectfully say that this gospel is about Simeon and Anna who found favor with God and we're made collaborators of God's plan.Wherefore this gospel is a command to find favor with God
Human positive law makes soliciting gifts or presents in consideration of the performance of duty punishable.Divine word proscribes soliciting payments or donations in consideration of the performance of god given talents where it positively proclaims "what you freely receive you freely give."
Will the word exposed mission constantly soliciting donation makes men and women behind it find favor with God and thereby become collaborators of God's plan?
This gospel is presenting two personities who found favor with God.What abour those who behave as a dog before God and become an unexpected teacher, will they find favor with God and become collaborators of God's plan? We should reflect on this gospel to prepare straight path for the word incarnate for the next liturgical year
I cannot see any reason for God to chart path for the family which includes among other things preparation of food ,settling differences,etc.....
God's path for the family has no bearing/meaning in the gospel of the presentation the child Jesus Christ
