Today I replace the steering rack in the 8ball (2nd gen Nissan Xterra). I tried to do the job as if the engine was still in the truck. This job was a total PITA and I did not enjoy it.

replacing everything (mostly the rack) was probably the way to go. my xterra has under 160k miles and theres a decent amount of play in the steering wheel before the tires actually start to turn. great work!

@@Rythecarguy same my daily, almost to the floor. I got new parts, still researching the way to correctly proceed. I did manage to fix the awful sound coming from my driver's side axel and replace both axels for less than $200 so HUGE HUGE thank you!!!!
