Rule number 1: You don't include cars which 'claimed' to do 0-62mph in x seconds. You include cars which accomplished 0-62mph in x seconds.
is that comment because of the owl, it accomplished 1.72 seconds but claims to do 1.69 seconds under best conditions.
Asking about C_Two? Tthat became real as Rimac Nevera. Does 1.85s as claimed. Also does 8.5 in normal road. And also broke 23 world records in that process.

Way to generalize things you can't afford. The new Tesla Roadster is MIA but the Lambo, the Demon, Porsche 918 Spyder are all legit fastest street-legal cars, even if they're mostly out of our combined budgets. The Demon is reasonably feasible however.

They did not say "current" production. It just stated production, which mean they either are or were production vehicles.

I feel like some of these cars might be capable of tearing up the road.
So basically the Porsche 918 Psyder is still the king of 0-60, since the rest is all theoretical and have never been tested in real life.
Plaid took the throne not long after this vid came out

The SRT Demon does not deserve a place on this list, it only pulls these times on non-street tires, skinnies up front and high octane race fuel. In real street form in can't even crack below a 3.0 0-60 time.
