Properly made EV drivetrains do not need gears. If an EV drivetrain requires more than 1 gear to achieve maximum performance, then it has some fault in it which the engineers decided to fix by adding more gears. Faults may include not enough peak torque (which reduces acceleration), or losing power at high RPM (which reduces to speed, as seen in many low-end EVs). yeah its debatable whether you can even call those things cars anymore at that point. It approaches the territory of those vehicles they use to do landspeed records with, just a missile on wheels designed to go straight insanely fast. No cornering etc whatsoever like an actual car

Put the correction there "The fastest ACCELERATION car in the world" 🤣. Speed isn't only acceleration guys, speed is a triangle: Top speed, acceleration and stability
If your only criteria is maxing the acceleration, then an electric motor will win. Torque begins at zero rpm, and seems limitless. But we gearheads are also entranced by the sound and precision of combustion engines, and those clever gearboxes that are manually shiftable. Taking the driver out of the performance loop is not something I look forward to.
might be quick but sounds like a washing machine when you open the lid while in spin. The paddle looks like it was put together using a meccano set . Electric motors produce immediate full torque is its advantage but the rest of it lacks styling and in a crash would be a probable death trap, the driver surrounded by rigid componentry, with a bloody heavy battery to make things worse. Endurance rallying on rutted roads, how will the batteries hold up to the vibrations is another question mark, hopefully not too many internal shorts.

Not a fan of the camera not looking forwards the whole time. I'm really not very interested in looking at two people in car seats, but I AM interested in getting some sense of the crazy performance by looking outside the car.
I believe that this display in the steering wheel will become a thing in the near future by the big car makers
Airbags
Big car makers already uses it but only in racing 😂 😂
Remember the Steering Air Bag ,The Screen will Decapitate your Head
I believe AR displays in the windscreen and eye tracking will make conventional displays disappear.
Who wants to state his BS he believes in next?
Why would u need it on steering wheel? Rally cars need to save weight. Normal cars do not.
"A top fuel dragster accelerates from a standstill to 100 mph (160.9 km/h) in as little as 0.8 seconds"
Ha ha ... a Top Fuel dragster would come last going up the Goodwood Hill! Hint: corners
yeah its debatable whether you can even call those things cars anymore at that point. It approaches the territory of those vehicles they use to do landspeed records with, just a missile on wheels designed to go straight insanely fast. No cornering etc whatsoever like an actual car
I think all electric cars are trash but the is one honestly gave me goosebumps just watching it. I would of been cracking up of joy if I was in it.
Subscribed from this. Nice work and amazing cars!
WOW!! WOW!! WOW!! This is the most incredible, exciting and awesome video!
nice car but electric cars still cant keep my attention no matter how fast they get
Couldn’t have said it better
Did you watch the new record run by the mini Batmobile fan car, it was mind-blowing and I'm a huge drag racing fan, no pun intended !!
Until you drive one...
Until you actually launch in a Plaid! YEE-HAW!!!
Max I totally agree
This makes me wonder, are we getting to the point where cars' GO is more powerful than their WOAH? Can brake technology keep up with scrubbing the amount speed that these motors can generate?
The motors provide regeneration which assists with braking. 60-0 distances for EVs is generally significantly better than an ICE counterpart.
@@greganson3627 if Regen braking is so good ,why don't they have tiny brakes $
@@rogerdodrill4733 because it cannot substitute mechanical brakes. It assists, it doesn't replace. Mechanical brakes still are used and still get hot and need large surface areas for otherwise heavy vehicles.
How can you be a vehicle enthusiast and not know what a sidecar is😂
If you want your mind blown watch them race the Isle of Man 🇮🇲
You can be a car enthusiast and still learn new things.
*Outfit*. Dear me...
Off-road side car cross is even better
There is more to life than 0 to 60 my sweet sweet friend !!
Yeah but not much more fun
Great question on how to jump a car. Great insight in the answer too. That's exactly what I would have wanted to know.
1500kg in a REALLY high performance E-Car is actually pretty impressive
Like, that caught me off guard
Cool car, amazing acceleration! But the sound…. like an old washing machine in centrifuge mode, with a brick bouncing around inside. The other cars though - music to a car entusiasts ears!
Crazy Stuff...." But i really prefer
the Sound of a "real" Combustion
Engine. U cant beat it.
FASTER THAN A TESLA IN MODLE PERFORMENCE.
I been there all weekend its fantastic. They are called sidecars Parker. check out footage of the isle of man tt.those guys are nuts!!!
With all due respect to the FC1-X (and that's a good sum of respect), this is the car that lost to an 84 Audi S1...
Just poking a bit..😉
th-cam.com/video/QoWzHAQramM/w-d-xo.html
oh nooooo hahaha he got gapped like an idiot, imagine the company invested billions on EV motors calling it "the future" and lost against a 40 years old car hahahah
12:00 -- wouldn't a 120 foot jump with you in the air for 4-5 seconds suggest traveling only about 16-20 MPH?
I guess I'd assume speeds more like 60-100 MPH (or more), which would clear 120 feet in more like 0.5-1.5s
Whenever you get air it always feels way longer, ime. I'm sure it's as simple as that, and overestimation of air time or an underestimation of distance, probably both. Both of those are things people are notoriously bad at judging accurately
Impressive but, in 1985, at Santa Pod Raceway, I saw Sammy Millers Vanishing Point, a rocket powered, Funny Car, do a 0-60 in 0.16 seconds!!!!
My ears are bleeding. Give me ICE for my ears.
Thanks for showing us these cars, that was awesome!
You are so right,, that 300LR, so perfect in every way, a true dream car, lol.. to have this one in the garage will put you right to sleep after a hectic day, before you know it, morning has arrived and you feel great, just to have a place for your tired mind to rest , dreaming about this example leaves no room for worries,,
yeah it's fast, but it sounds like a god damn rc car :D
Put the correction there "The fastest ACCELERATION car in the world" 🤣. Speed isn't only acceleration guys, speed is a triangle: Top speed, acceleration and stability
It makes my head want to explode…
Kick Ass mate.......your doing well with this.
Ed Begley Jr. is creaming his shorts! 🤣
All props to the cameraperson - must have been hard to hold on and get such smooth shots.
The speed insane , the sound is like a washing machine spin 🤣
The noise is so annoying you wanna swat it.
Long live the petrol engine.
My heart went straight for the t50 and the 300 slr, wonderful times to live in 🤗
Those numbers are literally hard to believe. Insane!
great car vid. One of the best
7:34 The way he finishes up on the grass then just turns the crowd into a blur is ridiculous
might be quick but sounds like a washing machine when you open the lid while in spin.
Every time he says unbelievable, drink!
The fastest 0-60 second ended up being the longest video of this type I’ve ever viewed
@ 10:44 Those are the two of the Five MOST FAMOUS Formula 1 cars EVER driven...
...Jenson Button's MP4/4 and Fernando Alonso and Lewis Hamilton's MP4.22 vodafone McLaren
6:46 "It's the only car I drive I get neckache from the g-force." O-60 mph in 1.3 seconds generates 2.1Gs. That's really not a lot... but the _application_ here is so immediate! Cushion your neck, mate! 😄
wow so fast even the batteries die fast..
Great video. ☺️
