Sometimes I write out the text and one of my kids start crying or I was cooking or I'm overwhelmed and I forget to press send. When I'm texting whilst busy I forget a lot to actually reply. I think I did and wonder why I didn't get a reply then check the messages then profusely apologise because I thought I did reply. I prefer phone calls for this very reason. I wait till I am completely free and actually set aside time to have a deep and meaningful conversation with the person/family/ friend

Not clearly communicating you have an issue with what someone is doing is a huge problem becuase it sends mixed singals that will be interpreted differently. Preach so correct on this.. one time I was outside smoking on break with some of my boys.. I had a beer on my coat pocket and some herb in my back pocket trying to chill. It’s so strange how circumstances influence your perception. For example, the two women… I completely agree with everything you guys said regarding their different financial situations, specifically the part where you said that the woman who’s feelings were hurt by the other’s obvious distaste. However, in December I lost job where I had a 6 figure salary. Back then, I would’ve wholeheartedly hopped on the, “that’s your problem” bandwagon. However, now while rebuilding I’m not making what I did back in December and can relate to the woman who had her feelings hurt on some level even though I still agree that it is something that she needs to get over.
Anyway, I say all of this to say that regardless of our past experiences our current perception is largely influenced by our current reality and I think it’s interesting.
It means you're stupid. Normal people can understand situations even when we're not in them... hopefully you remain forcefully single while you broke...
I dunno, I have adhd and social anxiety, when I see someone text me I get anxious and I formulate a reply in my mind and then I’m building up courage to text it even when I’m super excited about someone, or even when I’ve known them for decades, with my friends I’m more likely to respond quicker because I know them I can predict their responses, so that makes me less anxious, but if I’m having a few bad days even my friends don’t hear from me cause I’m too in my head about how to respond. Because of that, I often do genuinely forget to reply, I’ve formulated the reply in my head, when I eventually get distracted before I found the courage to reply, I forget and then get convinced I did send it, then I be waiting for their reply and to avoid getting anxious about that I put it out of my mind, like they’ll respond when they’re ready, it’s chill it’s cool, then if I really like them it’ll be a day or so where i go to check and then realise omg I didn’t text, now I’m freaking out that I haven’t replied and how rude I may seem. On a good day, I pull up my big girl panties and say honestly I thought I replied and was waiting for you, if it’s a bad day, I just continue to freak out until I’m distracted or the person texts again and then I’ll try to figure it out from there repeating the cycle.
But then I also get anxious with phone calls 😅 I don’t know how to fix it but I’m in therapy so 🤞🏽 but for years I didn’t know I had social anxiety and couldn’t figure out why texting and calls were so stressful so I just came off as uninterested or aloof, or leading people on 🤷🏽♀️
Sometimes is just hard for people, but maybe they shouldn’t be dating until they figure that out 🤔

That being said… I would agree that MOST people, more so than not, who say they are “bad texters” just don’t have a lot of want to text you back.

If someone don’t align with what you want or like or belief move on. Why try to convince, beg, persuade, or shame?
I’m a girl, so I don’t know if this is a difference in gender or if it’s just me, but I am a bad texter, and for me it’s the opposite of what they were saying. If I’ve been on one or two dates, I’m more likely to be bad at texting back because I haven’t built a strong connection and haven’t fully lowered my walls to expect anything out of it yet…. It’s when I’ve bonded with someone more and connected with them deeper that they’re the person I’m constantly thinking to text when I see a meme or whatever or ask about their day.
When I’ve gone on one or two dates with someone and I’m still figuring them out and if there’s even chemistry and all that-I’m much more likely to see their text, not know how to respond and get distracted by something I’m doing and intend to respond later and just forget. I’ve also left friends and family “on read” for days numerous times in the past when my anxiety or depression has been bad. (And a lot of times dating gives me anxiety and even if I am into someone will find reasons to put off dates and all that when it’s still new)
That’s me too. I just get nervous about talking to people I like 😅

If you base a relationship on social position or money, you are setting yourself up for heartbreak later on in life. What happens to your feelings towards your significant other when they get irreparably injured and cannot provide anymore? What happens when the divide between what you bring to the relationship vs what they bring becomes a chasm incredibly wide and deep? Look for a partner that looks at who you are and falls in love with you not anything else.
Are you taking about the big girl. Naw she's not doing that. Shes talking about her accomplishments as she should be able too and be proud of her hard work. Wanting someone to be on your level or above is not a negative trait when you have your shit together.
