Ps: you don't need somebody with a little hater, you want somebody who has lived life and actually been through shit, yet still works hard to be happy..somebody maintaining that _balance_ who also has wisdom and logic. They can have fun, but they don't always have to be out to have a good time. They have a comfortable, easy going attitude and can adjust as necessary. That's what I feel most men need. She also needs to motivate you to be a better man and to _want_ to do things you wouldn't otherwise do. If she doesn't make you feel that way, then either she isn't the one, or you aren't ready for a relationship and you need to work on yourself. _Or_ maybe you do want somebody with that beautiful, youthful happiness energy because to me it screams _I grew up in the perfect happy family... who happens to have LOTS of money and would never let their baby girl go without and would also help their future son inaw succeed in any way if they love him too._ 🤷🏼♀️ Just a thought! People who look THAT happy and have THAT MUCH ENERGY... they aren't hurting. BUT you gotta find the diffidence to be around that and make sure you don't bring her down at all in order to make it work. If you wanna step up to that, logically- you might wanna start therapy and work REALLY hard on yourself and if she truly likes you..don't fuck it up through self-deorication or self-sabotoge! This is how many people step up in life- and it's even rarer for it to be true love (whether it's a man or woman trying to emotionally connect to somebody on another level) Now something tells me he is already on her level 😂 but I'm speaking to the men who aren't (financially, and possibly in other ways) But just keep in mind that a young woman who is able to genuinely smile that hard, that often, and with that much energy- yeah they aren't hurting for 💵. And things probably just come to them easily, be it opportunity or just getting free shit and having lots of friends and a nice home etc..they have it goin in. Normal people don't smile and have that energy. 😂 Not like that. The only times I've EVER smiled like that are when I *didn't* have to worry about choosing rent/bills or food/toiletries/meds/etc! 😭😂 which is pathetic, but eyyy life's a bitch for those who don't have it easy! But you can still find an amazing woman who doesn't have money and have happiness without the struggle! I'm proof of that. I have a family and this July 8th it'll be 10yrs, and *knock on wood* we are starting to ret to a better place- but even when we've been struggling the most, we have always had unconditional love and two amazing son's and we laugh so much and hear I love you about a hundred times a day! When you find real love, you gotta hold onto it! And if it just _happens_ to come with those bonuses, then that is extra awesome and rare!
Aba, I'm a wife and mother of 4. I love cooking/baking fir my family. I hardly eat as much as my husband and children because by the tume I'm done, I am full from all the fumes and I am tired. And I mostly cook for them. When I was single, I hardly cooked. Just to say that I work out everyday and I am in top shape. People hardly believe me when I tell them I'm a mother of 4. Physical attraction is important man. I hate it when people act like if you care about a girl's appearance then you're shallow. Sorry i like pretty things, i guess? Only ugly people would say that let's be honest.
If you're forcing yourself to date someone you don't find attractive its just gonna be an unhealthy relationship. Honestly, do people really wanna date someone who doesn't find them attractive? I really wouldn't.
Lol, as a homely woman (I look like Dan Aykroyd and Rose O'Donnell's love child), personality and looks both matter, in my opinion. Especially when it comes to dating long-term. I've dated some nice-looking men, but they had the personalities of toy poodles on Crack. Needy neurotic bullies who were extremely shallow. Both personality and looks are the rare unicorn you should be looking for, hon.
As someone else dating in Los Angeles (can’t speak for other locations) baking, picnics and lord of the rings extended cut are the basic answers for women rn. For anyone who dated a year or so ago, this replaced making pasta dishes, going on a hike, and “beating you at Mario Kart”
I was totally thinking that. I love key and peele it was such a missed opportunity for her to not say something like ‘nooooo I’m not coming back! Nooo!’

She's like a ray of sunshine, but I heard her very clearly. She doesn't like negativity and probably isn't equipped for it. When things go bad she probably gets going.
An analogy I've made is a hook and a fishing line: The hook(looks) is the first shiny sometimes alluring thing I notice. But then the fishing line (personality) is revealed. IF both are good it is a catch, if personality is bad the line breaks. If the hook does not interest me in the beginning the chance that I bite is low.
@@Justanothercog24 Yes. I have done this and been rejected before, twice. I can tell you that asking is better Choice. You might be a Little sad or embaressed for those few seconds of the day but it is better than spending nights overthinking someones feelings for you. I have done both and I know I'd take the first option again asking her out on the spot
Tell me you've never gone fishing without telling me you've never gone fishing. The line is just the opportunity that was cast in your direction. The lure is physical attraction. The hook is personality and shared values.
You need to be attracted to the person you are with but what you are attracted to is different from other people. However, a bad personality with make someone unattractive REAL quick.
If a woman looks like Gorlock the Destroyer, you know that she has some personality problems too. A good attitude can turn any woman into at least a 7 if they have the mental strength to work out and stuff. I would definitely take the 7 that got there through self improvement than the 10 who thinks the world should bow to them just for existing.
So fugging true. I don’t think someone who has never overcome will criticise your stuggles. Like my ex used to tell me to put my foot down to my boss about not wanting to do overtime 😅. When i didnt i was a softy and she was gone. I do have issues with confrontation and rsd . Having a undiagnosed neurological condition didn’t help. But them give suggestions all time. Just do this and that. Bruv you don’t know how it is to know if you loose the job. Tour on your own. You don’t saw at the branch you are sitting on
With the "what do you notice first" question, there is a case to be made for guys like me who see attractive women and don't think much of it because i have such little tolerance for bad personality. So yes, technically, i see appearance first, but i will *notice* and take an interest in expressions of good personality/ character, even if she wasn't as attractive as other girls around. Of course, being ugly and overweight is gonna outweigh that, but i don't make a binary of attractive vs unattractive. Mid range has a lot of wiggle room
i have done axe throwing twice as dates and they were pretty fun. granted both girls were into martial arts. but gets you doing things instead of just trying to force conversation and gets a bit of competition blood flowing (no actual blood was flowing just be clear!). escape rooms are also pretty good for the first or second dates, gets you both cooperating and talking. edit: and yes, as a hema fencer, if a girl said she was also into hema, first date would be like "grab your gear, we're gonna fight!"
I like the escape rooms idea. I think it could be a decent indicator of compatibility if y'all can work together and make it out, rather than butt heads at every turn.
@@Poussyeater-w5e true. just pick an easy escape room. most are designed for large groups, with only two people will be difficult to go through the whole thing. i do think interactive dates are a lot more interesting than just coffee or drinks
Wanting me to have a romantic emotional attachment to someone and not be attracted to the physically is like asking me to operate my body without a brain. No amount of “your a good person” is gonna make me commit to you sometimes just being good ain’t enough. But that also don’t mean I’m taking a woman as my wife cus she’s attractive. Shit my child’s mother and my ex are high 8’s at the least but when shit revealed itself I got low and dipped, respectfully of course
@@Threegreentails comparability is key, but often times people relate people being a “good person” to being good in a relationship so that’s why I said it like tht
Appearances first and then personality. Men tend to be more visual so sometimes we are struck hard with just looks. They also don't have "icks" like women so it's harder to deter them off a woman they are already very attracted to. That being said if a woman is average looking and has a fire personality, she can be way more attractive than conventionally attractive women. Guys just won't notice it right away.
It doesn't matter if you're a man or a woman. . . appearances ALWAYS come first. If you aren't physically attracted to someone then it's not gonna work out. After that then you have personality which is what dating is for. This ain't complicated. . .
I'm a woman and I don't care about looks, unless a man is attrocious looking or has a creepy vibe/ stare etc. I care about the character 99% of everything and how they treat me, can they cook or they're search a mommy to help them out with everything.

It’s usually looks first but it is possible to notice personality first. Eg in group settings it could be the personality that makes you notice someone and attract you even more.
Personality is a big factor for me. Looks can be a secondary factor but the personality is #1. Less makeup the better so i can see what is really underneath for basing the secondary looks factor.
Looks are just an icebreaker. Obviously there is a threshold for looks in a relationship (my personal preference), but personality for sure is just as important if not a couple notches higher of importance in a long term relationship. You'd choose the second girl because you know she's cute and shes just as likely to have a decent personality as the first girl.
The way to win if you figured the trick out is to line up based on looks, then, when asked why, you explain the trick before the reveal, say you know everyone else was going to pander to “personality” and you wanted to be very clear to her that she is hot
Personality actually is seen first if it is anyone who stands out. Clothes, who they are with, how they move and speak all get noticed in under a second. It’s not like you meet people and they are standing there expressionless in the nude.
Wtf are you talking about? Clothes, their posture and their body movements is all attraction based on looks. Standing out doesn’t mean they have a compatible personality, they could be the only white person or black person, they could be the tallest or shorter the clothes they wear or anything else. Many people have a “public” personality they have when in populated social settings, that’s not their personality, you need to spend real time with someone to get to know their personality, almost nobody doesn’t have a bunch of walls and masks they use in public settings.

Saying that you don't care about appearance in dating is equivalent to saying I don't see color.
I don’t get people who say that, cuz I’ll randomly remember people I’m friends with aren’t white, and then I feel weird for forgetting about that, I am riddled with autism tho so that might be why

The world hasn't crushed their spirits yet! "That youthful energy" is full on.
Preach has me cracking up with the _"whispers_ gay" aba "noo, fuck boy". "OH my bad, I thought we were talking bout..😂...I thought that's what we were doing (toxic) aba "Noo no I don't do that" _looks at the camera._ Okay they *BOTH* Have me cracking up. I had to watch that part several times 😂 Y'all's interactions are why we keep coming back _daily_ years later! Love you two for who you are!

It's the same for women. Except they value things like income, height, and status as well.
In both cases, personality and character come after
Girls are a lot more shallow then give off anyway so no need to explain yourself. Both genders are incredibly shallow in some areas

Personality is important, but if you don't think a person is attractive you'll never talk to them enough to fall for their personality

People need to stop the cap. Attraction matters. A lot of dope personality woman but if im not attracted to you then it is what it is.

So yes, technically, i see appearance first, but i will *notice* and take an interest in expressions of good personality/ character, even if she wasn't as attractive as other girls around.
